The Dog Pound in Athens, AL. Pitty girl that is going to go down without rescue. The volunteer is begging for this dog to have a chance. She said this dog craves human attention and wimpers when people leave her alone. She is a very sweet girl. Two cats came up to the fence and Jeanne only looked at them. She likes to stay close to the person that is with her. A sponsor will pay for Jeanne's adoption fee, including rabies vaccination and spay. Please let me know if you know of anyone that can help. Please forward her plea to any contacts you have. She doesn't have much time at this small shelter. She is at The Dog Pound in Athens AL.

On another note -

Greetings from the Nemhain sewer! All has been quiet on our blog for the past few months, but not because of any lack of activity. In fact, there are many exciting things afoot, but we’ve been busy doing stuff, rather than interwebbing, hence the radio silence!

Firstly, as any eagle (or pigeon, wombat or ordinary human)-eyed gig-goers might have noticed, our original guitarist, Sam Astley, has returned to our den of iniquity, joining Lakis on 6-stringed noisemaking duties. Their combined forces (and some rather nice -and loud- Orange amps) have really intensified our mission to weaken and deafen our audiences! Our last update saw us about to play the small but mighty Fighting Cocks in Kingston with our friends Municipal Waste. That gig was Sam’s first with the band in nearly 2 years, and was a very cool venue to unleash him once again on an unsuspecting public! Not only was it a fun gig, but later that week, Municipal’s Tony and Phil joined us at Amber’s underwater birthday mayhem, and they almost managed to keep up with the Nemhainous partying! ;D

Since then, we’ve played a few gigs with the new lineup, and now have a short UK tour with Spit Like This. We’re setting off on April 28th, with a plundering of Brighton Engine Rooms, so check out our list tour dates and see if we’re invading your town: If you are (un)fortunate enough to find that we are, then make sure you get your arses (and the rest of you, obviously), into the venue for a night of audio weakening! We want to see your sweaty faces (not arses), packed in like a sea of rock n roll sardines!

The more inquisitive stalkers amongst you might be wondering what the hell is happening with the album … Well, we’ve more or less got From The Ashes ready to be released, but we’ve been in negotiations with a label to do a worldwide release, rather than go it alone. Everything’s just being finalised now, so we should be confirming a release date soon. More to come on this very shortly.

Way back in January, we dragged ourselves off to an icy studio in the frozen wastelands of west London to film a video for our version of The Gits - Second Skin with Dr.Palser (My Dying Bride, Salvation & Immortal). It features the charming Gramdrax of Ted Maul filling the unhinged plimsoles of Peter Dolving of The Haunted, who duets with Morrigan on the track. This is the first single from the album, and the video has literally just been finalised, so for your viewing (dis)pleasure, here we are, in glorious technicolour! Turn it up to 11 and dance like nobody’s watching!

I know I have allot of friends on myspace, I only have upwards of 50 votes! Ask yourself, "DO I want a girl who knows more about Horror than any man would dare dream? Hey I just wanted to let you know they are trying to BAN all Pit Bulls in Ohio...even anything that looks like a Pit. In the Bill they are trying to pass it says it does not matter what their temperament is, if they are mixed or pure. They are even going to put bulldog breeds, boxer mixes, lab mixes to sleep if they suspect they are pit. I wanted to give you the link to sign the petition.

My landlord found out about them and he has a HUGE problem with pitbulls and said he will have us evicted if there arent gone in 1 week.....

we had someone come take them off the property to foster them until we find good homes for them.....

if you know me at all....then you know how much I love my dogs and how much I hate to do this.....but I have no choice!!!!

Onyx is 3 years old and neutered and Diamond is a year and a half and spayed......they get along GREAT with each other and I'd like for them to be homed together but more importantly......I just need to find them good homes....

Onyx IS DOG AGGRESSIVE!!!!! but he's great with my son and other kids......he just needs some dog agression training or a home that doesnt have any other dogs....

Diamond gets along with anything (except maybe cats.......not sure)

These are both GREAT DOGS and very energetic and will make awesome house pets and companions.....they are house trained and crate trained.

Brutus gets along well with other dogs, too. He is a bright dog who should be easy to train. Brutus is so loving and will be the most devoted family dog you could ever want! Brutus was confiscated from a dreadful situation where he was being starved to death. His owner was taken to court, given a jail sentence, and forced to relinquish Brutus to Williamson County Animal Control. Despite this terrible ordeal, Brutus is thriving! He has gained weight and is in excellent health now. He is also our shelter sweetheart! Won't you please consider giving him a home? A veterinary reference and a home visit will be required to adopt Brutus.
