Leftcoastnoise : whats the best and worst thing about touring? and you can't say meeting new people for best or being away from family/friends for worst

jakedmusic : the best thing about touring is getting out there and kinda giving your gift of music to kids who maybe haven't heard it yet in different cities, hopefully listening to it will give them some kind of hope or help them out w/ whatever they're going through

jakedmusic : the worst thing is probably living like a homeless person, going night to night eating off the dollar menu so you can make it to the next stop

leftcoastnoise : what is your favorite venue and city?

jakedmusic : I would say that my favorite venue we've played so far would be The 210 in Visalia, CA. They have an awesome set-up there and everyone is amazingly nice. The venue used to be a bar and they made it into a youth center and venue. It's an awesome place

leftcoastnoise : so i just watched your music video, what's the idea behind it and where did it come from?

jakedmusic : The video is about a couple that is going through a tough time. The girl has a terminal illness. The two have a list of everything that they haven't done and want to do before her time is up. I wanted the video to make people realize that life is extremely fragile and you shouldn't take one moment for granted. You never know when your last day will be

leftcoastnoise : did you always know that you wanted to pursue music? what did you want to be growing up?

jakedmusic : Well I've wanted to be a professional musician since I was about 17. But before that I wanted to be a professional skateboarder. I still skate though almost every day. I even bring my board on tour

leftcoastnoise : who is one person or what is one thing that inspired you to play music?

jakedmusic : I would say that John Mayer single handedly got me into music. I actually used to be a solo musician. My old stuff was very John Mayer influenced.

leftcoastnoise : what's your guilty pleasure music wise?

jakedmusic : I really like Boys 2 Men, basically any R&B, but shhhhhh! Haha I really like how melodic it is and I contribute alot of my vocal skill to singing along to boys 2 men greatest hits record haha

leftcoastnoise : what would mean the most to you: playing warped tour main stage, getting on snl/trl, or being nominated for a grammy?

jakedmusic : The biggest honor for me would be a Grammy. When u get a Grammy its recognizing you as a song writer, not just how cool you are. Getting a Grammy for a musician is like winning the Nobel prize for a scientist

jakedmusic : We were trying to come up w/ a name and I was sitting at my house watching The Cable Guy. Jack Black said, "you wait one hot minute!!" and then I realized that was the right name

jakedmusic : Well me and Drew have been in past bands together but we just kinda randomly came upon Wes and Dj. Just kinda random awesome musicians we found and we asked them to play w/ us
