When I'm bored I do a Shawn and google myself. Look what I found: Your Pokéname is:
Chucow
Profile You live in the frigid tundra of Siberia, and your diet consists mostly of cows, rocks and water.
Characteristics (Combat and Non-combat) You can puke jet fuel. You have a cell phone. You can breathe hot death. You can spit tahini. You can shoot salt spikes. You can resist cosmic energy bolts. You can throw Dr. Pepper. You can resist wind. You have a discoball. You have goassamer wings. You can throw evil glances.
Natural Enemies Your natural enemy is Volttwo.
I seriously didn't know there was a Pokémon named Chucow. And you know why we named our radio Chucow, right? It's a mix between the boy name "Chuck" and the word "cow" (if you haven't figured it out, cows are our power animals). The background for all this is way too long to explain, so you'll have to settle with that.
Anyway. Let's boycott Pokémon? Although throwing Dr. Pepper is kinda bad-ass. OMG diet consists of cows?! SCREW THAT.

Our friend Kryssi over at The Matches UK Street Team has written a blog about our interviews with the new bassist Dylan Rowe (also known as the Nashviller Without a Nose), and his old band The Hollywood Kills (still the best friggin' band in Nashville). Check it out here! And while you're at it, you should add the street team. It's awesome. And spread the word! (On a total different note - it's freaky how, when filling in the subject box here on this blog, past subject lines appear. Titles of emails to Dan San Souci, emails to THK's close friend Mare, and previous personal LJ entries. Isn't that shit supposed to be forgotten? I guess not. I guess our past actions will haunt our MySpace blogs.)

You can stop harrassing your eye doctor, you have not gone blind. We can't speak for all of you, but perhaps that is the conclusion you have drawn when you haven't seen any updates. The simple answer is that we haven't updated. Sure, things have happened, but we sometimes forget that we can write as well as talk.
As you must know by now (if not, maybe you are blind after all) we interviewed the wonderful guys in The Hollywood Kills about a week ago. The interview itself isn't abnormally long, but the chatting continued long after we had run out of questions, as well as hours of the day and phone service range. So for your amusement we will in the remaining episodes of the season play bits and parts of the conversation. We assure you, you will not be bored. These boys have a great sense of humor. If they weren't extremely talented musicians already, they could go on tour as stand-up comedians.
And as usual, with your two Chucow hosts involved there will be some bickering. That's just part of our charm. But we're still percious! Ask Brandon.
If that wasn't enough for you, the guys have so kindly sent us three exclusive demos that will only be heard on Chucow Radio. You do not want to miss that.
Stay tuned for more updates - we will try to make them more recurring.

Here's the update we promised about Deuce and their call for bands and artists:
Deuce Management & Promotion has recently collaborated with Ricall; the world's largest online music licensing marketplace.
Based in London and New York , Ricall works alongside major and independent record labels, music companies and unsigned acts connecting their music to over 5000 registered companies. These companies represent tens of thousands of brands who are actively looking for music to licence for use in their commercial productions from brand sponsorship to adverts, mobile phones to games, TV programmes to films, and websites to in-store audio.
Ricall and Deuce Management & Promotion are now looking for the very best in unsigned and emerging talent worldwide to be included on the Ricall database and be considered for various forms of exposure. Benefits for bands and artists licensed via Ricall include amongst others:
* Receiving payment for your material to be included in commercial productions
* Having your music promoted to relevant companies through promo folders on the Ricall website
* Potentially having your music listened to by millions of people worldwide
This is a fantastic opportunity for acts to increase their profile and also receive payment with all bands and artists registered with Deuce Management & Promotion guaranteed inclusion on the Ricall database free of charge.
For an additional £5.00 per track, bands and artists can also be tagged alongside established bands. This option benefits unsigned acts if companies are searching for music similar to recognised bands material. For example, if a company requests a Coldplay track for an advert but cannot afford the fees required, they can listen to similar styles of music tagged to Coldplay which may result in your material being selected.
For information on registering with Deuce Management & Promotion, send an email to chucowradio@yahoo.com and we will give you further instructions.
Further information on Ricall can be found on their website www.ricall.com.
Chucow Radio and Deuce look forward to hearing from you!

No rhyme intended...
If you haven't heard the news already; we've managed to snag an interview with the Matches' newest member, Dylan Rowe. As you all know (or maybe you don't), he will take Justin San Souci's place after Justin decided to leave the band to pursue other things. But as blogged before - Justin will always remain our official co-mascot, even if he is no longer with the band.
Back to the interview. It is now up on the MySpace music player for everyone to listen to. And just to clear up a few things:
We did not make a "spur of the moment"- phone call and accidentally wake him up. This was planned, our dear Dylan just forgot. Forgetting seems to be a trait of his.
The person laughing at the beginning is Jon Devoto. To get in touch with Dylan we had to make some drastic decisions, which lead to calling Jon since the person we were really looking for didn't pick up.
When asking about the Olympics, I was being sarcastic. Of course I wasn't implying that he wouldn't know what it was. (This is to clarify things for those of you who might not get this kind of humor.)
Of course the interview has been edited; the full version would have been far too long. We decided to cut out all the "unnecessary small talk", seeing as not many people are likely to be interested.
The interview will also be in one of the upcoming episodes, alongside some "behind the scenes" talk about what else was said. A promo has been recorded and will be up shortly along with the other ones by the very nice people whom we have interviewed.
Don't forget to tune in September 13th, when season 4 starts. We have lots planned.

We are all sad that Justin San Souci, bassist of the Matches, has left the band. We wish him luck with his new challenges. Though, co-mascots will ALWAYS be co-mascots. Just because Justin left the band doesn't mean that he's no longer one of our radio mascots. Actually, he's more of a co-mascot than ever. Read more about it in the band's blog here.

Current mood: chill
We've been checking dates, when we're busy and so on, and this is what we came up with: On Saturday (May 17th) we will not be recording a new episode. This simply because we want to save the three shows we have left (yes, ten episode season this time) and make sure we actually have things to talk about. They will stretch over quite a long period of time. The following week - on Saturday, May 24th - we will record. In this episode we will just talk about what's been happening around here lately and what's to come. The week after that (from the 29th to the 31st) there is a big music festival. We will not record until Sunday, June 1st. Hopefully, we will have some fun things to tell you from the festival. If you listened to the last show, you know a few of the bands playing. The main event for the two of us will be All Time Low, but we're hoping to discover some new, cool acts. There are quite a few international ones this year. The next week, we will be busy with graduation and whatnot. We will not be able to record on the Saturday (June 7th) since that's the day Sarah's leaving for Spain. She'll be gone for the whole following week, but we plan to be in the studio for the season finale on Sunday (June 15th). This date has not yet been confirmed, but we're pretty sure we'll be able to make it. In this episode you'll hear all about graduation (we have some strange traditions in Sweden), Sarah's vacation, Louie's birthday (and about 6 others as well...) and maybe something else. Thanks for listening, and stick around. The third season is almost over, and once it is, your summer will feel soooo empty without us. Good thing we have an archive, eh? // Sarah & Louie

The interview with Shawn Harris in Nottingham was not only recorded in audio, but also video. As my final project, before school is out forever (YES!), I decided to make a little "travel journal". But since I got a horrible flu, it ended up being aaaaall about Shawn. But who's complaining?
I will upload the video for you to see - eventually. But for now, here are some sneak peeks from the film:
Warming up with a few tricky words, such as: Kristianstad, sju (=seven) and fyra (pronounced "schyra" in Shawn's mind, and means four).
After figuring out that "sjukt litet självmord" in fact means "sick little suicide", Shawn decided to do a little victory dance.
Since he was doing so good, Louie thought she'd go out on a limb and ask if Shawn knew how to say "I love you". His reply sounded something like "schy lauw shyui". Which is wrong, but at least he took a guess. Very brave.
Apparantly, "moln kraschar" (="clouds crash") sounds like it could mean "more than a feeling"...
Trying to figure out how "crash" makes "kraschar". Look at that face - priceless.
Naturally, he wanted to know how you say "more than a feeling" - "mer än en känsla". But in Shawn's case, pronounced with a slight Russian accent.
After being given the clue "you don't sing on it", it was clear that "mörkret stiger" means "darkness rising". Although, Mr Smarty-Pants was quick to point out that he does sing on it... Apparantly, we insulted him.
And finally, without knowing it, Shawn learned a new word while trying to pronounce "skjut mig i leendet" (="shoot me in the smile"). He said "skylt" which means "sign". Good job!
Posts like these are born when boredom is taking over. Hope you enjoyed it.

Current mood: bored
We put the interview with Ben Young on our MySpace player. "So if you want to take part of the triangle man wisdom, you should hurry over there." - Louie
If you haven't checked the website, you probably don't know that we did an interview with DJ Rossstar last night. Longest distance call ever. Nine timezones. Beat that. The interview will be aired in this week's episode that will be recorded, once again, on Sunday morning.
Oh, and just for the hell of it - both of us have been feeling very bored and restless lately. If you have a joke, please share it with us.

Current mood: accomplished
If you've listened to the latest show ("Robert, I love you!"), you hear us talking about our hometowns. So I decided to get the right figures (courtesy of wikipedia.org)
Kristianstad (the city itself) had 33,083 inhabitants in 2005. I suppose we've grown since then. Kristianstad Municipality (Kristianstad Kommun in Swedish) has about 76,000 inhabitants. That's quite a lot.
As for Louie's hometown - Tollarp - they have 3,170. Her entire life just changed, she realized how "big" her town is.
So now you know. We're no hillbillies! // Sarah
