Exclusive IMAGO Scene and Guests!

From Upstart Filmworks, producers of Walking Distance and Closet Space, comes Imago by award-winning filmmaker Christopher Warren. Texas Frightmare Weekend is pleased to welcome Imago's cast and crew to our lineup April 30-May 2, 2010 in Dallas.

Fright fans will particularly recall B-royal Debbie Rochon from countless Troma-tizing roles as well as Lisa Wilcox from her throwdowns with Freddy Krueger in Nightmare on Elm Street 4 & 5. They're joined by Imago cohorts Melanie Donihoo (Walking Distance), director/co-writer Christopher Warren and producer/co-writer Mel House (Closet Space).

Imago follows Jennifer, a young woman with a dark past, as she goes on a search for her missing brother. Jennifer soon discovers that her brother's disappearance was anything but planned -- and related to something not of this world. Imago is scheduled for completion in Spring 2010.

George Romero, William Katt and Keir Dullea added

In August, we revealed the first four "Fright Faves" to return to Texas Frightmare Weekend for our 5th anniversary celebration April 30-May 2, 2010 in Dallas. We are now pleased to announce 2007 headliner George A. Romero will join us once again.

The architect of contemporary zombie lore's warm, easygoing nature made such a dynamite impression with Frightmare attendees, that inviting him back the very next year to kick-off the 40th Anniversary Night of the Living Dead World Tour was not only an easy call, but an as yet unmatched honor.

We also have two fresh faces to share with Frightmare fans: William Katt whom horror hounds will recall infamously escorted Carrie to the "Love Among the Stars" prom (with incendiary results.) Plus, 2001's Keir Duella joins our salute to the 1974 slasher Black Christmas.

October 10, 2009 - Saturday
Join us April 30-May 2, 2010 in Dallas as Texas Frightmare Weekend salutes legendary filmmaker and composer John Carpenter! This movie maverick staggered audiences in 1978 by unleashing suburban boogeyman Michael Myers into our collective nightmares with Halloween. Carpenter's continued to chip away at frayed nerves with The Thing, Christine, The Fog and so many more, including fan-favorite Snake Plissken's misadventures in Escape From New York. We are tremendously honored John Carpenter has graciously accepted our invitation and we eagerly await his latest fright flick, The Ward!

October 3, 2009 - Saturday
Texas Frightmare Weekend is pleased to welcome three additions to our fifth annual horror convention and film festival April 30-May 2, 2010 in Dallas. Veteran genre actor Lance Henriksen is by far one of our most requested guests. It's easy to see why with a career that spans mega-movies such as Aliens and Terminator to horror highlights Pumpkinhead and Near Dark to the darker-than-dark TV series "Millennium" and beyond. (He's also really into ceramics!)
We're also thrilled to welcome fellow TFW first-timers Meg Foster and Kane Hodder. Ms. Foster's icy gaze made her a latter-day femme fatale worthy of besting Rowdy Roddy Piper and He-Man. And while many have taken up Jason's machete during Friday the 13th's quarter century of quartering cavorting coeds, Kane's four-time unhappy camper swung an occupied sleeping bag like no other!
Room reservations are now open for April 30-May 2, 2010 at the Sheraton Grand Hotel DFW Airport in Irving, Texas. Act now to receive our exclusive TEXAS FRIGHTMARE WEEKEND reduced rate of $124 by ..reserving online or dialing (972) 929-8400...
Discounted ..weekend and day passes are also on sale in our online store. ..Vendor spaces are also available and expected to fill quickly as our incredible roster of fright favorites grows!....

Anchor Bay Entertainment and Rue Morgue Magazine

We're overjoyed to announce Anchor Bay Entertainment will return for a fourth consecutive year as Presenting Sponsor of Texas Frightmare Weekend. This world-class distributor has and continues to bring the genre's most influential films to theaters, DVD and now, Blu-ray. Please join us in welcoming Anchor Bay back to Texas!

Rue Morgue magazine has also come on board as Co-Presenting Sponsor! These unparalleled chroniclers of all things horror in culture and entertainment debuted in 1997 and are now published throughout North America, Europe, Asia, Australia and beyond. Based in Toronto, Rue Morgue's gloriously "evil" empire extends beyond its monthly magazine to its own film label, popular radio show, yearly "Festival of Fear" convention and monthly movie screenings.

Backed by these two titans of horror, there's zero doubt Texas Frightmare Weekend 2010 will be our finest event yet!

PANTHER CITY HORROR SHOW

August 9, 2009 - Sunday

Texas Frightmare Weekend is proud to announce the first five guests for our fifth annual horror convention and film festival April 30-May 2, 2010 in Dallas. As part of this 5th Anniversary celebration, we're honoring "Fright Favorites" of past shows as well as welcoming many new faces fans won't want to miss.
Betsy Palmer, Sid Haig and Bill Moseley were with us at the very beginning in 2006. Demand for The Devil's Rejects stars was so great, in fact, we invited them back the very next year. Meanwhile, Mrs. Voorhees has consistently remained among our top fan requests, making the Friday the 13th matriarch's return for this anniversary celebration a must.
Doug Bradley charmed fans in 2007 as TFW joined with Anchor Bay Entertainment in saluting Hellraiser's 20th anniversary. Doug's portrayed one of horror's most iconic characters throughout the franchise's eight-film run. Unlike his victims, we're thrilled Pinhead is paying us a return visit.
Plus, as promised, we're pleased to welcome one of many first-time fright faves too! Superman squeeze and Amityville Horror evictee Margot Kidder kicks off our salute to Black Christmas -- the 1974 precursor to the slasher genre that stacked bodies high into the '80s.

Room reservations are now open for April 30-May 2, 2010 at the Sheraton Grand Hotel DFW Airport in Irving, Texas. Act now to receive our exclusive TEXAS FRIGHTMARE WEEKEND reduced rate of $124 by reserving online or dialing (972) 929-8400.
Discounted weekend and day passes are also on sale in our online store. Vendor spaces are also available and expected to fill quickly as our incredible roster of fright favorites grows!
