●Rhys Chatham’s Crimson Grail for 200 Electric Guitars (2008) Outdoor version (commissioned by Lincoln Center Out of Doors) and seminal funk-punk band Liquid Liquid, a double-bill presented in collaboration with Wordless Music (August 8, Damrosch Park Bandshell). As with last year, Lincoln Center and Wordless Music are conducting an open-call for volunteer guitarists and bassists to join the guitar and bass orchestra (section leaders David Daniell, John King, Seth Olinsky (Akron/Family) and Ned Sublette,) for this world premiere performance conducted by the composer. Information about how musicians can apply by June 15 can be found at http://www.LincolnCenter.org/wordlessmusic.

Liquid Liquid also is planning on some international dates this summer in Japan and Europe. I'll post them as I'm told about them.

Laura turned a small corner within the last few days, and there is a good possibility that she will be transferred to a rehabilitation facility sometime next week. Our hope is that she will be well enough to attend the show. Keep sending those
positive thoughts and spread the word. We've barely started and tickets are selling fast. Hard to say if there will be availability at the door ($35 day of show). if you are interested in selling raffle tickets please let me know. We'll have close to 100 prizes when all is said and done.

Cult punk-rock guitarist Pat Place, founding member of the Contortions and the Bush Tetras, is having the debut exhibition of her photographs at Jane Kim / Thrust Projects, Dec 11 - Jan 11. The photos are part of an appropriately nihilistic project titled "The End, 1981-Infinity," an archive of over 1,000 prints of end titles from movies on television, a collaboration with the art critic Linda Yablonsky.
