Apparently the privilege of having a front row parking spot at my job includes a high amount of risk and peril. Who'd of thunk on a beautiful and sunny morning in late January, following a day of slush & snow, with temperatures just below 30 F...that any sort of precipitation would form...creating what has been rumored as "Black Ice"!?
As I stepped off the curb approaching my car, having turned back to retrieve my glasses, there it was! It happened so quickly that I barely caught a glimpse of the culprit! As my life (and my lunch bag) passed before my eyes, my first though was to protect my iPod, then fear that someone would see me...I fell to my knees...sliding so effortlessly on the pavement and praying that my pants wouldn't rip (as they are one of my favorite pairs) flashbacks of childhood trauma from falling off my bike filled my head. As I braced myself with my palms in an effort to avoid scuffing my mug. Anger over cam me...."THAT SUCKED!!!" I exclaimed. Slowly I rose to inspect the contents of my purse (containing o' precious iPod) then dust off my miraculously un-torn trousers. As tears welled in my eyes, the girl that I am, I grabbed my damned glasses from the car. There were no witnesses of this random attack....the culprit is still at large. I entered the building...my bruised ego winning out over my scraped knees...filled my report with security...and began my day at work.
 
As I reflect back on the situation...I vow to no longer take for granted my walk from the 4th row of the parking lot, as it is always thoroughly salted. I will never again boast about winning my "Primo Parking Spot" for the month of January, even if it was obtained in trade for a bottle of Grey Goose. And lastly, a warning to whomever takes over the spot for the month of February... Watch out for that first step...it's a doozie!

Merry Christmas and all...but on to bigger & better things....NEW YEARS EVE!!!!!!!!

This is my 1st and quite possibly last blog of 2005...so please don't susbscribe expecting that I'm some what dedicated to this sort of thing!!!

Yes folks, the rumors are true...K-Licious, or if you prefer it "K-Licous", are celebrating this year in NYC Style! We sought out the biggest, baddest party spot to bring you "K-Licious Kick A$$$ New Years" hosted by your's truly.....

well, enough about me...let's talk about ME!

I got my first Coach purse today...not that I ever thought it was a big deal or anything, or that I'm one to play the "Name Brands" game...uhh okay, maybe a little- and maybe a lot during that Calvin Kleins phase...but NO Body  comes between ME and MY Calvins! Kinda like the way Kelly feels about her hair...back to my point. I never was dying for one of these materialistic purses, always quite content with my 9-Wesites, UNTIL! My 16 & 11 year old sisters BOTH had one! After a bearable amount of whining about it to Karin...she caved...ahh the pay out was good!

I was also fortunate enough to be featured in the K-Licious 2006 Calendar...check me out- January centerfold!! Ya know, now that I think of it...they really should move Thanksgiving after Christmas...if I didn't have anything to be thankful for then, I sure as hell do now!. Thank you Santas!!!

Well, time to hit the hay...The kitties had me up at 9 to give them their toys & treats that were stuffed in their stockings..Hey! Kitties like Christmas Too!!
