yeah. you want the news. i got news for you. we finished mixing the new e.p. as you may have heard... if not, then just listen to the songs. we played some shows, did some crap, and now we're getting ready for the big trip down to Heavy Rebel... which is sure to please, then the big trip up to salem, ma... which is sure to please.... then a weekend off... which is definitely sure to please, then the court tavern for the west memphis three benefit show.... which will probably be terrible. As meatloaf said... 2 outta three ain't bad. if you haven't heard, we've tossed surfin bird like a dirty tissue. perhaps you were at the curmudgeon show when we played steppin' stone then left.... and everyone just stood there... waiting.... and we laughed at you. laughed heartily at your expense. poor you. perhaps you were at the loop lounge, as i stopped playing the bass for no good reason, and brain and tommy rocked out... perhaps it was the beer... perhaps it's just north jersey... who knows.... or perhaps you were at the show in philly in the basement... where we took EVERYONE's money apparently.... fuck you tim.... that was a rough one... it was hotter than hell in that basement... and we know hot. just look at us... daaaamn. you were expecting a hell joke? okay... a pederast, hitler, and a teenage suicide walk into the gates of hell... OUch. fuckin lame... so, we won't see you jersey kids for a month, so you better buy our shit when you do see us next, cuz with all these trips up and down.... we're gonna be broke. oh wait... we are broke. oh well, buy shit, come on. -james p.- brimstone.

So, here I sit on this cold winter night, watching The Devil's Advocate and I thought, I should let all our little advocates know what's been going on down in the land of fire and Brimstones. So, we've been doing that studio shtick for about a month now, working on our upcoming E.P. tentatively titled "Pocketful of TNT," featuring our newer stuff. We've laid down about 10 tracks, 5 vocal, 5 surf, What's going on the album? Not sure yet... we're gonna figure that out later, but it's songs you know, some you may not, some we play all the time, some we've played once or twice. Keanu Reeves has to fuck his half sister while Al Pacino watches now... and she just took it all off... so hold on one second... wow. gotta love those redheads. Where was I? Oh yeah, we're recording. So we're doing that. We did a bit of a switcheroo for dates in case you haven't noticed... We're not doing the World/Inferno show on Feb. 26th, we'll be down in Asbury with The Seeds! Instead on the Inferno Bradley Gardens show, we're playing in 2 weeks there with Victory Records Recording Artists The River City Rebels. That should be a fun one. Then March is right around the corner, and your favorite foursome is off to Cowboy Country... That's right, Texas for South by Southwest. Everything is coming to, and plans are being drawn. It's a happening though. April comes after that, and I've been hearing some things about a possible Kings of Nuthin show in Jersey... I'm not saying definitely... but I have it on good authority that they'll be making they're way down to this neck of the woods, and we've been appointed to make sure they have a good time. And JULY! Heavy Rebel Weekend! It'll be great, get your rooms now, cuz we're working on getting my personal friend Sideshow Bennie on the gig, and he's a trip, plus us, and lord knows who else... well maybe not the lord, but well, you know what I mean. So, that's the happenings. We're still alive and kicking, and kicking rather hard. Gonna get some new stuff written too, Get ready for a new surf tune that's going to literally knock your socks off, the danciest and most demonic yet. So to all of the faithful, We hope to see you very soon. Come out, look at that damned show thing on the main page of this, or at brimstones.com, come out, dance your pants off, twist it, break it, and burn it. We'll be doing the same. Get Burned, or Get Lost! -James Pogo-

Ah, the show was wonderful. For those of you curious, I, James Pogo, did in fact bust my foot during my death-defying leap from the speaker, the exact damage has yet to be determined. I'll put up the info and maybe some pictures tomorrow. All in all, We had a great time. And here's a thanks list: Thank you to everyone who came out , especially our cheering section of best friends and loved ones. You guys made it for us. To our new friends who came out and enjoyed us, we're glad to have you aboard our little group of sinners. To the Gore Gore Girls. It was splendid sharing a dressing room with you... even though we didn't get to see you change. You were wonderful and I especially thank Jenny for the pain meds. You're a life saver, and I love you already. and your bass too. To The Cramps... like they'll actually read this... Thank you so much for having us, you're one of our main influences and sharing the stage with you tonight has been a dream of ours for a long time. It was great meeting you, and hanging out. And thank you also for watching us play, that meant alot. Irving Plaza and Staff: You were all wonderful and gracious hosts. We hope to see you again in the future. Especially Jason, who brought me that big bucket of ice. and the free beer... well... it goes without saying that you earned our love... Thanks to everyone who came out. It was a great night, and I know I don't sound evil enough right now... but I took pain killers... and i'm kinda happy. See you all at Otto's! -J. Pogo-

Brimstones need a bass player!! A word from the band. Listen up Sinners!!! The Brimstones are currently looking for a dedicated bass player from the NJ/NY area to fill their ranks. For those of you who aren't familiar with us, we are based in central NJ and play Instrumental Surf & 60's Garage punk. We have been playing for over 6 years, opening for some national and international acts and are getting a pretty devoted following in the NYC area. Right now, we're finishing off a professional demo and press kit in response to label interest and are gearing up to record a second album. This is a chance to step into an established band and leave a mark. Let us know if you have: Competent Playing Ability - Able to learn quickly and to contribute in writing original material. No need to be perfect, but the more you know what you're doing, the better. Equipment - Works and is not held together with duct tape & gum. At least, it better be damn strong duct tape & gum. Digs The Music - We prefer someone schooled in the genre (I.E. Surf & Garage), but interest & attitude is more important then band-name dropping. If you're a punk kid who really digs surf, or some other wacky combination...let us know. Committed! - We can't stress enough; this is for the long haul, not a quick fill-ins or such. We prefer a bass player with one project, but are willing to make allowances. A lot of time and effort has gone into this project and it's taking off. We don't want to have to post this again in 6 weeks because your job/girlfriend/other band is taking up too much of your time. Serious Inquires Only! www.brimstones.com
