So, it's no surprise that Wilmington, NC has been very good to me since moving here last Summer. And things just got better!

Southern Gothic Productions (which came to be by the most wonderful Hilarie Burton and friends) has taken little ole me under their big, beautiful wing!

The support ALREADY has really been amazing... thank you so much to anyone who's taken a second to listen... I'm excited and inspired by ya'll!!

So! Wilmington has been really good to me this summer and you're about to see some of it! The Star News (www.starnewsonline.com) came out to film a little video article and also to film my new song "Lady of Nobody." The video goes up August 15th on the Star News site. Check it!

Because Chapel Hill likes to juice you every once in a while (you know what I'm saying) I've been on the road and out of town/sight/mind for the past little while. Traveling, be it to the grocery store or Latvia, tends to make you think about things...like your name. Two weekends ago, in Wilmington, I was schooled on the Latin origin of my name... which means "to drink."(??) Now, that could imply anything but if you throw a "whoo!" in there beforehand it makes me a wild party animal. THEN! In another separate occasion a handsome boy with a thick accent sort of snickered and touched my shoulder when I introduced myself and told me that my name was also slang for "boy part" (you know what I'm saying) in Latvian... and "was I serious!"(??) I don't know if this is true, but kudos to handsome boy with the thick accent for pulling the best possible pick up line ever. Even if you didn't get my number.
In conclusion, my name alone is the life of the party. If you know any other possible Bibis definitions, hit a girl up.

Oh! Also! Girl in Wilmington at the Karaoke bar: If you read this then yes. It was me.
