Hiiiideee folks!

Hope you're all doing well!  Me, Tron and Juice are in the middle of tracking 13 songs for the album.  We've finished 4 thus far and I can't tell you how excited I am.  I think it's going to be called "The Bed You Made".  You can check out "Gravity" here.  It will be one of the tracks on the album featuring Alison Krauss.  She's freaking amazing!!

Back a couple of months ago Better Than Ezra released there new LP "Paper Empire" featuring 2 songs I wrote with their singer Kevin Griffin "Fit" and "Just One Day".  They're using "Just One Day" for there next single.   It hit stations in the next couple of weeks.  So everyone please call your local radio station and request the song.

More to come......

Jeremy

Greetings from London fellow myspace-ites!

First off I'm extremely flattered and honored that the folks of Nashville voted me the best singer-songwriter in town for this years issue of the Nashville Scenes Best Of Nashville.
Thank you very kindly :)

I'm sitting in Kensaltown Studios in London, England where I'm pretty sure I'm having the best time of my life.
I'm working with the brilliant producer Martin Terefe martinterefe. com and we're starting tracking today for the LP. yippie! I've been writing my tiny hiney off as well and have some great new songs to bring back across the pond. Oh.... I have my first international gig on Monday here in London at a place called 12 Bar.
That's pretty sweet and I'm flipping excited!

I've been videoing a lot of the trip and I should have some clips up on my website soon. Send me some good vibrations pretty please.

Love!
Jeremy

Nashville, TN: Its no secret that the home of country music serves as a hideout for one of America's most bustling music scenes. People move to Nashville aspiring to change it, only to find themselves chewed up and spit out by the spirit that gave us Johnny Cash, Woody Guthrie, and Bob Dylan. What rises from the dust are songs with ache and pain, hopes and sorrows, victories and defeats. But redemption is found in the community of people whose kinship runs much deeper than the music.

Ten out of Tenn is a compilation that shines a light on a few of the many Nashville artists who haven't waited around for the world to hear about them. With TV being the new radio and beat up vans the new tour bus, this generation of American originals have taken full advantage of opportunities to take their music beyond the city limits of their adopted home town. Years of restlessness and work have allowed competition to give way to a community where late nights on the front porch are king.

Ten out of Tenn volume 1 was released in 2005 and partnered with Myspace and Paste Magazine for an extensive national tour. Volume 2 is partnering with American Songwriter Magazine for a tour set to launch on July 19 at Nashville's historic Cannery Ballroom. The tour will feature a rotating lineup of artists sharing musicians and supporting one another. Tickets will go on sale June 13th.

If you don't live in Nashville, then you might have a preconceived notion of what the Music City is like: Bright neon lights of honky-tonks downtown, LP Field lit up for the CMA Music fest, the Opry next to the Bass Pro Shop and the palatial homesteads of country music stars.

But if you live in Nashville, then you know that country is just the tip of the musical iceberg. There are plenty of songwriters and artists here who don't subscribe to the mainstream country model, for various reasons, and manage not only to carve out a niche, but to build a foundation that grows into a following, that eventually blossoms into a creative community...(click the picture above to continue blog)

Is the name of a new demo I have up. It's one of my favorites and I think most of you can relate to it.

People are asking me when the full length will be coming out and I don't have a definitive answer for that. I'm waiting for the folks with suits and ties to push the green button. I have all of this great new music i'd love to uncork and share with you.... Mail "The Man" and tell them you're ready for the full length Jeremy Lister album.

First off I have a favor to ask of you. I went to the doctor yesterday and I have the flu Photobucket . I have a really big show coming up on Thursday at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah (I'll tell you more about this in a minute). So please send me positive thoughts to punch the funk outta the lungs.
Photobucket

So yes, Sundance. Me and Richie are leaving tomorrow morning at 6 AM for the Rockies. Warner has a concert series there called "Where Music Meets Film". This is a great opportunity to showcase my music to some of the best filmmakers and music supervisors in movie land. Photobucket You can read more about the series and the other artists playing at http://myspace.com/livefromparkcity or check out my top friend here on myspace.

On February 9th I'm having my EP Release Show for "Just One Day". Photobucket I'm really excited about this one! I'm having numerous special guests, a string section, and my dear friend Courtney Jaye will be opening the show. Photobucket The show will be at 12th and Porter here in Nashville, TN at 8:00. I have a ton of brand spanking new merchandise too. Hope you can make it out.

Ok, the full length album... It looks as though we're getting geared up to start working on it. I'm sending in some final demos to the men upstairs Photobucket and I'm flying out to LA in late February to meet with the label. I think I have an amazing album in store and I can't wait to share it with you. I'll be posting some new demos for everyone both here on myspace and at my website jeremylister.com. Full length = happiness happiness

Finally, 2008. This is going to be a good year. I can feel it.... or maybe it's the lovely cough syrup I've been drinking on Photobucket whew.... that maybe the only good thing about having the flu. Thank you! I love you! Jeremy Photobucket

Me and Richie are out here in LA recording with Greg Wells www.gregwells.net at his studio Rocket Carousel. It's going great! We're three days into recording two new songs called "Just One Day" and "Fit". I'm flying to NYC on Tuesday to work with Michael Brauer http://www.mbrauer.com on the mixing of these two songs along with remixes of "Hostage" and "Ready To Fall" which Ian Fitchuck and Justin Loucks produced. It's looking like WB will be releasing the 4 songs digitally this fall. So you all make sure to get a copy. I'll have physical copies as well and plan on having a release party in Nashville.

Damn I look crazy. :)

They have the best fish tacos in LA.

My manager Doc took us out on the town last night and my brain is a bit spongy today....

So that's that. I hope that this finds you lovely and I can't wait to unleash some sonic goodness your way soon. xoxox Jeremy

So I actually leave Sunday for LA. Me and my brother Richie are heading into the studio on Monday. Send out some good vibrations please.

There's this new hot dog stand here in East Nashville that makes an unbelievable tofu dog with a spicy relish chow chow. It's called "I Dream Of Weenie". I think I'm gonna eat 4 today :) If you're in Nashville go there, sit on a blanket, and let the therapy begin.

If you're around tonight I'm singing 2 songs with Guilty Pleasures @ Cannery Row Ball Room. They're an 80's cover band... Fun times.

We just added 24 tracks of strings to Hostage... Holy Crapazoids! It sounds really freaking good. Can't wait to share some new songs. Coming soon! Many cheers! jeremy
