It features 2 older songs from my first album "Stranger in a Strange Land" (Take me Away, Hold On to Your Dreams), 2 to be featured on my new one (Set Your Heart on Fire, Stay Tonight), one written just for the summer season and a live & unplugged version of "The Stranger".

In further Bilvox music news, the film I scored earlier this year just had its premiere to great reception at Montreal's Fantasia Film Festival. The Film is "Rule of Three" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1014807/ Also one of the leads was bestowed the honor of Best Actor Award at the festival. We are all very excited for all the cast and crew involved in seeing this film receive the accolades it deserves.

Hey Y'all!
Yesterday at the Fangoria Weekend of Horrors was good fun. Got to meet actors (twins form Planet Terror, Jaws from 007 movies, Zombies Zombies Zombies stars and a whole lot more), producers, and some fun people.
A big bummer was the CDs I had made to hand out to all are not going to arrive in LA until monday! What the f!
Well that's alright, the feeling is that the turnout tonight will be great and I am looking forward to meeting the rest of the cast from Rule of Three.
Los Angeles is a fun place to visit so far, catch up with friends, and get some sun on my skin...
and off to do that now... and then... ZEE PREMIERE!

Hey everyone!
I am writing you from the warm and sunny west-coast. I am in Los Angeles for the premiere screening of Rule of Three. Its very exciting and nerve racking... but mostly just extremely exciting. Tomorrow is the first screening and we should have about 100+ folks attending. So today we promote the hell out of it. We have some great flyers and swag to hand out. It will be a great day and a wonderful chance to meet some fun and interesting folks...
Its great to be here in LA and I will be bloggin all week - with the pictures to prove.

I think sometimes I feel I take nine steps forward with music, with progress in my life... and then it is often the case I take ten steps back.
~LATELY though I think its more like I take ten and a half steps forward and THEN take ten back... so .5 ahead of the game isnt that bad, right?
Well... Today I feel like a have taken one giant leap forward. (watch yer step now!)
A new song will not only be featured in an independant film due out in the next year, but it looks like the film (and hopefully myself as well) will be in Sundance Film Festival this next year. HOLY SHMOKES!
This sort of progress is so great as an artist, especially now as I am trying to finish the new album and piece together the rest of the band after some departures for their own reasons. (honest! no drug habits, fights, or creative differences at all! amazing I know!)

So, as my birthday approaches (the 19th of sept incase you are thinking of sending presents) perhaps good karma mixed with some hard work will start to pay off.

Speaking of the album, I will be in mexico as a birthday present with some talented musicians for a week long chill-lax'n, demo'n and writing session. I have a a bunch of ideas to bring down and hammer out and see what a little ocean, sun, and corona can do for the creative process.

A great man in the world of music passed away Friday, Tony Wilson Founder of Factory Records. He is often regarded as helping spark the fire of the "Madchester" movement originating from Manchester England in the 80s and early 90s. A movement that was partly fathered from the energy of punk, dance and ecstasy.
He is responsible for finds such acts like Joy Divison & New Order, The Happy Mondays, and also starting the whole DJ club phenomenon from his infamous and now defunked Manchester club The Hacienda. A hallowed venue to music fans; where bands like The Stone Roses, The Smiths, and Primal Screem all got their start. He is immortalized in the film "24 Hour Party People" about the fall of punk and the rise of post-punk and the effect it had on music around the world. He has since remained a constant force in the music industry heading up a renown festival in the UK and NYC called "In The City".
All musicians today owe him a debt of gratitude, including myself. Men like him rarely come along and push things forward as much has he did for the music scene and the recording arts in general.
He was a man that sometimes underestimated his role as a catalyst for a great movement and founder and promoter of great musicians.
