DEAN SANTORO (R-FL)
My name is Dean Santoro and I am running for United States House of Representative in District 18 of South Florida.
I began my professional career 20 years ago in the trenches of corporate America. Simultaneously, I taught students of all ages as an adjunct professor in the evenings for more than a decade. I've owned businesses and worked diligently at the America dream. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Masters Degree in Business. I am the epitome of a hard-working American citizen.
So I understand your frustration because I live it too.
I've decided to run for office to affect positive change for everyone in District 18, all of South Florida and the country. A vote for me is a vote for the return of government accountability and the requirement that your representative truly represents the best interests of the people, their constituency and the human race.
I'm an avid believer in the rule of law and I strongly advocate a return to the Constitutional values that gave birth to our nation. Let's make the United States the Land of Opportunity again!
Special interest organizations dominate our government in a way that is unprecedented in the history of our country. The middle class is evaporating before our eyes and the divide between the "haves" and "have-not's" is growing at an alarming rate. Inflation is out of control and our future financial survival is at stake. We must reverse this course before it's too late. District 18 needs a representative who will answer to the people first, not the wealthy aristocracy and the failed policies of the Bush Administration.
The incumbent in this race, neocon and ardent Bush supporter Ileana Ros-Lehtinen has held the District 18 seat since 1989. It has been postulated that long terms in office tend to obligate office holders to special interests. The voting record of the incumbent clearly showcases this in her across the board support of the neoconservative agenda regardless of the detrimental effect on District voters. South Florida and District 18 is ready for new leadership in Congress, and I am the right individual for the job.
In the coming months leading up to the election, I'll be sharing my ideas about how we can return the government to the people, where it belongs. I stand firmly behind Ron Paul for President and I will work hard to uphold the Constitution and restore our respectability around the world.
It is my sincere hope you will put your trust and faith in me come November of 2008 and vote Santoro for United States House of Representative in District 18 of South Florida. Thank you and God Bless.
