Hey friends of the myspace.
We've got a couple shows this week in Minnesota that we're pretty excited about.
Thursday @ The Hexagon Bar w/ The Central Division, The Tank (CA), and Shageki
Friday @ What's Up Lounge, Mankato, MN w/ The Tank, Pocket Genius, Midlife
It'd be great to see you out.
In other news, we have 11 songs ready to go for the new, yet to be titled, record. We're going to be demoing them later this month with the incomparable Jeff Halland in St. Paul, MN. After that we'll tinker a bit, finish up some lyrics and fine tuning and get ready to track the full record early next year. The plans for this release are digital release as well as limited vinyl. Due to the long-windedness of some of these newbies, not all songs will make the vinyl, but will definitely be online for digital consumption.
Hopefully we'll talk soon. Be good. I hate the Yankees.

Hi there. I'm not altogether sure if anyone reads our blog posts. We have many fake friends thanks to the wonders of myspace. But we truck on....
Anyways... Scott's wrist is healed....we had a great last minute show last night at the Turf Club in St. Paul. It wasn't like a Paisley Park jam session for attendence or anything, but it was nice to get 1st team offense on the field again. It smelled like victory.
Next weekend we get to hit the land of Wisconsin. Curiously its the only land other than Minnesota that we seem to make it to more often than once a year. Maybe if we had t-shirts with obnoxiously large fonts and pastel colors things would be different. However, that would mean we'd have shitty shirts....so no thanks.
We rock La Crosse on Friday with our pals, Porcupine, who are stinking amazing and who lend their guitars to Swervedriver. On Saturday we move the series to Oshkosh and our favorite home away from home, The Reptile Palace. Porcupine will be with us again, but this time the two of us get to warm up for Fox Valley kings, Sunday Flood. This is the Flood's first show since June. You've got no excuse for skipping the drink and the rock.
Wisconsin friends, we'd love to see you at the shows.
Friday, Sept 26th @ JB's Speakeasy, La Crosse
w/ Porcupine
Saturday, Sept 27th @ The Reptile Palace, Oshkosh
w/Sunday Flood, Porcupine
be good. -all the way rider

Hey friends of the Rider,
We've had a bit of unforeseen trouble in the ATWR camp. Our bassist, Scott, fractured his left wrist this past weekend and will be unable to play the bass for a couple months. This really sucks for Scott. If you see him out and about, at one of the upcoming shows (which I'll get to in a moment) or at the pub....buy him a drink and wish him quick healing.
As a band we were very much looking forward to our next slew of shows. There are some unbelievable lineups that we're lucky enough to be a part of and good times seemed to be guaranteed. Having Scott on the disabled list is a rough blow.
We WILL continue playing the shows on the schedule. Jason Bauer, of the rock band Seconds Before, will be filling in on the four-string. Jason is a good friend of ours (he's done all the artwork for each of our records) and he's an extremely capable bass player. Scott has given Jason a glowing endorsement and we're relieved that the show will go on.
Hopefully we'll see you out at one or more of the next bunch of shows.....
Go buy the new Alternative Press, by the way. Apparently we made the "AP Recommends" section. We haven't seen it yet, but we'll post it as soon as we do.
Shows:
Monday, July 14th @ The 400 Bar, Minneapolis
Thursday, July 17th @ What's Up Lounge, Mankato
Friday, July 18th @ Triple Rock Social Club, Minneapolis **Threadbare Reunion show!**
Saturday, July 19th @ The Uptown Bar, Minneapolis **The Rockford Mules record release show**
Wednesday, July 23rd @ The Rock Nightclub, Maplewood **Opening for Helmet**
check our profile for info on ordering our new record online or through Itunes....
we love you. we love the Twins.

It has become our musical mission to have a record released somewhere other than the United States.
If your mom just gave you a boatload Euros or British Pounds to start a label......I'm just sayin....

Hey friends,
The news has finally arrived. Our new record, "The Eagle's Revenge", will be hitting the proverbial streets on May 6th through various e-tailers, namely CDBaby.com (where you can preorder!) and a few neighborhood record stores. It will be available digitally (Itunes, Emusic, Amazon, etc. etc.) around the same time, but being a small time independent rock band we cannot guarantee the EXACT date. The digital wheels are in motion, though, that much we do know. So keep searching for it each time you open your Itunes and download whatever it is you download.
As always, the cheapest place you can purchase this bad boy is direct from our hands. We sell our records and t-shirts for $5 at every show, all the time. Why, you ask? Well, aside from the fact that we ain't exactly pullin 'em in like the Stones, we feel like we outta attempt to get our music in as many hands as possible without asking people to sacrifice too much of their economic stimulus checks on rock music. Go buy a bunch of consumer goods in stores like they asked you to……just save $5 for our record. Fix the economy, yo……..by buying clothes at the Gap and eating at Gameworks. Right.
Where can you get it for $5? Check the show schedule. Our release "party" is on Friday, May 2nd at the Triple Rock in Minneapolis and many more midwestern shows in Milwaukee, Chicago, Sioux Falls, etc. etc. should be appearing periodically over the next many months.
If you haven't checked out "The Eagle's Revenge", plug in your computer speakers or headphones and go preview the whole dang thing at our website.

We're back from a fine weekend in Beer City and our favorite home away from home -- the Fox Valley. The drive to and from these places is not insignificant. We tend to let the hours pass in quiet reflection while our iPods deliver pleasing monologues through the van's stereo. This is what we listened to on the last trip, in chronological order: Clutch "Live in Flint-Disc 1" Far "Water and Solutions" (one song, then we started talking about Jonah and changed our minds about listening) Fugazi "Repeater +3" Hal Scanlon "Disc 1" Janes Addiction "Ritual De Lo Habitual" Pink Floyd "Meddle" Led Zeppelin "II" Porcupine Tree "Deadwing" Baroness "The Red Album" Rush "Farewell to Kings" Nirvana "In Utero" Longmont Potion Castle "Vol 6" Oceansize "Effloresce" The Notwist Radiohead "In Rainbows" Green Day "Kerplunk!" Riddle of Steel "1985" The Dames "s/t" The Mars Volta "The Bedlam Goliath" Longmont Potion Castle "Vol 6"

Hi friends (and spies), Big news in the land of All the Way Rider. We are saddened to announce the departure of guitarist, Bill Collins, from our rock band. Bill has decided to relocate to the windy city of Chicago to pursue his professional goals in recording engineering and we wish him the best of luck in all endeavors. Bill has been a fantastic cohort for these past few years and has contributed a lot to our musical brotherhood. As you'll see in a few months, he brought a lot of great riffage to our forthcoming record, "The Eagle's Revenge" and he's leaving us with some big and vacant shoes. We have been contemplating our future since learning of Bill's intentions in late December and have decided as a unit that we will move forward as a three piece. We are crotchety old men and the prospect of seeking someone of like mind, like schedule and like ambition is probably more trouble than simply spending that time and energy practicing to get up to speed as a trio. We've been rehearsing up a storm recently as a three piece and conglomerating two guitars into one. We are pretty dang sure that you're going to approve. If you are in Minneapolis, please come out to the Hexagon on February 1st and help us send off young Billy in a blaze of rock n roll glory. It will be good times, I promise. A mere two days later on February 3rd (Super Sunday, Packer fans, wait, nevermind), we will be opening for The Casting Out (Newark, DE) featuring Nathan Gray of Boysetsfire fame on vocals. The show is at the Triple Rock and will be our coming out party as a three-headed rock beast. We are taking this change in stride and are excited about the future. Hope to see you at some shows. New Record update: Jeff has provided us mix v.1 and things are sounding FANTASTIC. v.1.2 is expected today and things should be moving along very quickly in the coming weeks. Be good. Howdy folks. Some closing words for 2007.
Our new record is being mixed by Jeff Halland as we speak. This is going to define 2008 for us. We can't wait to unleash its power on your Ipods, or compact disc players (those of you left). Apologies for discrimimating against those of you with non-Apple manufactured mp3 players....we love you too.
We have some new shows posted over at our proper dot com website, www.allthewayrider.com , and we'll be posting a player allowing you to stream the new record for free as soon as mixing/mastering is completed.
Until then....

Howdy friends. We haven't updated the blog in quite some time. Things have been a bit nuts lately......we got a chance to escape Minnesota for a couple weekends in October and played some of our favorite spots in Wisconsin and Illinois. New friends and awesome bands: Disguised as Birds, Porcupine, Phistine Verona. Old friends and still awesome bands: Sunday Flood, Deconstructing Jim, Scarlet Escape.
Recording wise, its getting exciting. We just wrapped up vocals last week, and are finishing some guitar fixes this weekend. Sunday night will be a monumental night as we will sit and listen to all the existing tracks, get stoked, and then we'll be passing along the tracks to Jeff Halland, mix-master extraordinaire, to give us the record that we hoped for when beginning this process of song-writing back in May. Hopefully you'll see it in the form of a listenable product come late January/Early February.
More soon....

We just wrapped up 3 days of recording at A440 Studios in NE Minneapolis. Three 12+ hour days gave us 14 tracks of drums, bass, and rhythm guitars. I have to say that everything sounds fantastic. The drums sound huge! Our friends Jeff and Brett lent us some pretty cool amps to record with. Thanks guys.
We're taking a week break and then back to guitar tracking next week. We'll wrap vocals, and hopefully have the tracks in the hands of Jeff Halland to mix by mid-October.
What should we name this one? We still haven't got a working title for the record yet.
