The wind in Ireland is like none other! No where else have I felt wind like this. Yes, it's cold (fucking cold, in fact), yes it bites your nose at times, and yes, it seems to be ever-present. Being a fire sign, the fire in me has always been fed by wind more than anything else natural...well, maybe it's a tie with great trees...But this wind, the way it fills me, surrounds me, comforts me almost, but can still freeze me to the core; with all the energy and magic that I feel in it: it just knocked the deep South, overly warm, pre-Hurricane winds out of first place for my favorite winds.
You'd have to be here to really understand it, but if you like wind, this is the best!

So for basically the first time this trip, I'm having fun! However, I had to make it VERY clear upon arrival in Ireland (i.e. right after we got off the ferry) when Albert tried to take control of everything again, that this was the main thing I really wanted to see here, and if I wasn't gonna be able to do the things I (me, not him) wanted to do here, that I had absolutely no problem changing my plane tickets and leaving the next morning from dublin...cuz I figured that the change fees had to be cheaper than what it would cost me to stick around and not have fun again. At first i think he thought I was joking...but when he realized that, after having been awake all night, watching the sun come up over dublin, cold and sea-sick from the ferry, I was DEAD serious about it, he gave in...so today I dragged him all over dublin...seeing the things I wanted to see...and then he got really drunk off Guinness and went to bed early...

For one, I can't believe Obama won the fucking election!!
And then, I am currently in Amsterdam, we will be leaving tomorrow to go to Ireland!
Please anybody who knows anybody who has my number that doesn't have myspace, please let them know not to call or text me unless it's an emergency! Or, unless I text them first.
Bill, I haven't checked your message yet, my phone bill is already at about 100 dollars with the few calls and texts I've already made/received...what happened are you ok?
And then...hope everybody is doing good...ttys!

Current mood:Jet-Lagging like a MF!
So we're heading to Berlin soon and then we will be leaving germany.
Things I will remember about germany: the toilets are weird! Never try to outdrink a German! German beer (even the so-called "cheap crap") is waaayyyy better than American beer! Germans love to try to learn English (mostly). Cab drivers in Germany usually don't speak English so knowing how to say "I want to go to" in German is extremely helpful! Germans think that Coke is the same as Pepsi, and Mountain Dew is extremely!!! hard to find, so treat it like Gold if you do find it! Also, to most Germans .79 euro (about 1 dollar) is very expensive for beer! Some germans live off of 200 euro a month, and aren't considered "poor".

Current mood: frisky
My dad is one of those people who thinks/realizes that his one single vote doesn't make a difference in the grand scheme of an election...but either way, he keeps going back and forth about who to vote for in this upcoming presidential race. He says that if it weren't for Palin, he'd vote for McCain...but he doesn't like Obama's plans for giving away all his (my dad's) tax money to people who don't deserve it (his words, not mine...though I can't help agreeing with him on that last part).

So okay, I don't like to promote other people's causes very often, but this is a good one....pay attention partygirl, you might like it. There is a guy on live journal who is helping his friend raise money for breast cancer research, but the way he's going about it is very interesting. He calls it "Racks for research" and basically he wants to celebrate his birthday coming up by seeing breasts, and he has agreee to donate $1.00 per "rack" that is posted on his livejournal up to 100 girls to breast cancer foundation research. This post is not for the public, the only people who will be able to see the breasts are those who post a picture, or those who also make a donation to the research fund. To the donators: you can either donate per rack, and you can have a maximum amount preset, or you can make a flat donation. To the "racks": you don't have to give him a naked breast shot, in a tank top/corset/bikini top/bra, etc. is fine...but it has to actually be of your own breasts. Naked shots would also be welcome, I assume. Also, the girls who agree to particpate do not have to donate money themselves, but they are still free to do so. So c'mon ladies! Let's give a guy a happy birthday and help breast cancer research in the process...the last time I checked, there were donations up to $10.00 per "set" posted. You know you have a pic of your breasts around somewhere that you can share to help out Breast Cancer. C'mon guys! Don't ya wanna see some breasts? You can donate as much as you want per "set" or as little as you want...a quarter per set, a dime per set, whatever...Get all the info and post pics and donations here: http://drjeff.livejournal.com/1334772.html start clicking...also, here's the livejournal account home page which shows the updates about this fundraiser http://drjeff.livejournal.com/

Advice given is usually advice that should also be taken...so i know that this was for myself as much as for whoever might read this. what follows is snip-its of letters i wrote today to my friends...if it helps you, great! if not, then i know that it wasn't for you...at any rate no matter who it helps or doesn't help, i felt that it needed to be said to myself and to anybody else who needs it. .......................................................................................................
i know now that god let whatever it was...push my car off the road, because he wanted me to be exactly where i am now...he let chaos take away my car but not my life...he let it happen, but saved me because i still have things to do on earth. i know that now...and i'm not sad anymore about the loss of my car, or the most recent loss of my good friend mary--she's not dead, but we will not be friends anymore.
and do not feel ashamed or feel that you wronged me in any way because you could not stand up to legion when he came to you. i am not mad at you, and do not think less of you because of it. i know how powerful he is, i've always known--well for as long as he's been following me--i'm just happy he did not do anything worse to you. I am really the one who should apologize and feel ashamed...because i'm the one who put you in the situation for that to happen. i'm sorry for that and i hope that you'll forgive me for trying to give my burden to you.
i think we're all a little sick of gettin our hearts broken, i've actually decided to become one of the "unlaid" ranks myself...i just don't want to be that intimate with somebody who doesn't really care about me anymore...i can't take it. I want somebody to really love me again...i miss that.
getting into school while working is a very difficult feat to accomplish, but if it's what you really want to do...i know that you will be able to do it. keep heart! and know that all of our burdens are laid on us for a reason (not that you didn't know that already) and even when it's hard...remember to keep the goal in mind...always! that was the hardest part for me about staying in/getting back into school: it was very difficult to see the end result, while all you're doing is treading water....just keep breathing deep and keep your head above water...the place where you're supposed to end up, will eventually show up in the distance.
i'm really glad god decided that i couldn't leave for basic until much later than i wanted to leave b/c now i'll get to see all my army friends before i leave...which will make me very happy.
well, yeah pretty much that's all the new stuff...there was lots more that happened in the last year, but i've covered the basics...this is where i am now...not where i've been, i think that's a much more positive way to begin things again. not to drudge up all the crap that's happened to me over the past year or so...and instead just be honest with myself and with you about where i am right now.
love ya always angel

I was going to write another "episode" of my stories for all my "fans" tonight, but I'm sorry I just can't get it up for you tonight. Perhaps tomorrow or the next night. Stay tuned! More to come soon, I promise!
The past two days I've had to dig more glass out myself, and that does not make me happy...especially since I had to reopen the wounds and clean them that way. It seems to have killed the creative spirit a little.
Sidenote: I once heard a joke about an Englishman, a Scottsman, and an Irishman...tonight I was the Scottsman! Ha Ha Ha...maybe I should have actually told the joke...heh.
*thinking* Nah, keep 'em in suspense...much more fun that way! *deviant smile*
