"Triste nouvelle tombée hier soir.... Il m'a bien fallu quelques heures pour réaliser... "Michael Jackson passed away at 50"... Incroyable.

De tous les hommages recueillis depuis hier soir, l'un résume l'essentiel :

Jamie Foxx  "J'espère que le monde se souviendra de lui comme d'un musicien brillant, et non pour le numéro de cirque" qu'était devenu sa vie"

C'est en tant que musicien, DJ et avant tout fan de musique que je suis touché.
Surement aussi parce que c'est une icône de NOTRE génération qui s'en va...

Jackson a réalisé quelque chose qui nous est cher chez les Waiting : le croisement des genres, l'ouverture sur toutes les musiques et ne jamais s'enfermer dans un style.
Rock, Funk, Soul, New Jack, Pop, Jazz....

Mais il a été broyé par le système, par l'industrie du disque... Comment rester serein quand une maison de disque n'est jamais satisfaite des ventes (le fantôme des 42 Millions de Thriller à la sortie... entre 65 & 108 selon les sources, à ce jour)...
Bad : 32 Millions / Dangerous : 29 Millions / History : 38 millions (Double album le plus vendu de tous les temps) / Blood On The Dance Floor (chiffre non dispo mais à ce jour l'album de remix le plus vendu de tous les temps) / Invincible  : 11 Millions

11 Millions,  un Flop comme tout le monde dit.... un flop, quelle blague... qui peut se targuer de vendre 11 MILLIONS de copie d'UN album ?

Certains se la pète avec à peine UN ! le 1^er single You Rock My World a été n°1 en diffusion radio, n°1 des classements singles, et l’album a été n°1 des classements albums, ce dès la 1^re semaine. Aucun autre artiste n'a réussi cela en France à ce jour.

Beat It, Smooth Criminal, Leave Me Alone, PYT, Wanna Be Startin Somethin, Jam, Remember The Time, Rock My World... L'héritage musical est énorme... et ne parlons même pas de la révolution visuelle que Jackson a opéré.

Il y a eu un avant et un apres Jackson.

Alors oui, il y a eu les "à côtés", les extravagances, les rumeurs, la mythologie... Tout ce dont on ne manquera pas de parler dans les médias, les livres...

Et puis le bal des faux culs de tous les hommages qui tombent hier... Où étaient ils tous ces 8 dernières années ?

Jackson nous laisse donc avec un sentiment d'inachevé. Comment aurait sonné son nouvel album dont l'enregistrement avait commencé en Irlande il y a quelques temps ? Qu'aurait donné son retour ?

Mais quelque part, un sentiment de soulagement aprs ces années de souffrance physique et surtout mental. Aucune autre expression que "Repose En Paix'" n'aura mieux coller à quelqu'un. Fini les lynchages médiatiques, les parasites qui l'ont utilisé, usé et abusé, la pression inhumaine à chaque mouvement...

Il reste en tout cas pour tous les musiciens de la terre, quelque soit leur style, un modèle absolu de travail, de perfectionnisme, de créativité...

Rest In Peace.... et moi, bah je m'en écoute les albums Thriller, Bad.... "

It is as a musician, DJ and foremost a fan of music that I'm touched.
Certainly because it is an icon of our generation who goes ...

Jackson has done something that is important to the Waiting's: the intersection of gender, openness to all music and never locked into a style.
Rock, Funk, Soul, New Jack, Pop, Jazz ....

But he was crushed by the system, for the record industry ... Staying calm when a record company is never satisfied with the sales (the ghost of Thriller's 42 Millions at the time of release ... between 65 & 108 depending on the source, so far) ...

Beat It, Smooth Criminal, Leave Me Alone, PYT, Wanna Be Startin Somethin, Jam, Remember The Time, Rock My World... The musical legacy is enormous ... and not even talking about the visual revolution that Jackson has made.

There was a before and an after Jackson.

So yes, there were the "dark side", the extravagances, rumors, mythology ... Anything which will not fail to be mentionned in the media, books ...

And then the fake asses with all the tributes that fall ... Where were they all during the last 8 years?

Jackson left with a feeling of incompleteness. How would his new album sounded which recording began in Ireland some time ago? How would have been his concerts to come in the next days?

But somehow, there's a sense of relief after years of suffering physical and especially mental. No other phrase "Rest In Peace" will stick better to someone. No more lynchings media, no more parasites who used and abused him, inhuman pressure with every movement ...

It remains in any case for all the musicians of the earth, whatever their style, an absolute model of work, efficiency, perfectionism, creativity ...

Rest In Peace. ... and me, bah I listen to albums Thriller, Bad.... "
