My Track “Friendly Fire” was featured on BBC Sussex and BBC Surrey & BBC Radio Solent’s “The Demo Panel” last night (Sunday the 7th Of June).  It was met with some rather encouraging comments from the panel of judges, some of which included the following;

Gary Mulholland: Music Journalist, (NME, The Guardian, The Independant and Q Magazine)

"Liked this song best of the three"


Pete Smith: Recording Engineer (Boomtown Rats, Police & Van Morrison)

"Well put together"

"Sounded like Roy Orbison vocally"

"Like the title"

"Very good Lyrically"


Trevor Madison: Production & Promotion Co-Ordinator of the Concorde 2 In Brighton

"Sounds Like Talking Heads"

"Really Hooky"

On and off over the past few months I have been recording my first album.  Well it is now finished and will be available to download for FREE within the month.  It will be called "From The Inside Out", there will be 10 tracks and it is produced by Mike Gates from the Dalsarns.

The album is currently being mastered and then we need to sort out some artwork for it etc.  So watch this space for further details.

On Sunday night Rory's track "Too Late In The Day" was played on BBC Southern Counties Radio and was reviewed by pannel of judges including

Steve Hillier (Record Producer and founder member of Dubstar)

Phil Nelson (Manager of Aqualung and founder of the Brighton Music Network)

Gary Mulholland (writer for the NME, The Guardian, Independant and Q Magazine)

And although there were some mixed comments, below is a selection of some of the more positive comments that were made.

"Vocally, it sounds like Roy Orbison. Love the chorus" (Steve Hillier)

Hi All,

Incase you were wondering.  The Panel on the "South Live" (BBC Southern Counties Radio unsigned Show) voted Acrobat the second best song of the 3 that wee being judged.  With some mixed, but fair comments they gave the track a score of 17, four points behind the winners UK Escapade.

Hi All,

Just to let you all know, my track Acrobat will be freatured on the "South Live". Which is a show on Southern Counties Radio where unsigned material is showcased. 

The song will be up against two other tracks of a
similar genre, all of which will be evaluated by a panel of music
industry professionals.  Each track will receive roughly 2:00 of
air-play, after which it be discussed and scored out of a possible
thirty points. The track achieving the highest combined score earns a
place on the show's playlist, with the band invited in for an interview
the following week.

During the show feedback by text and email by listeners is most weclome.

The show will be broadcast this Sunday 20th May between 7-9pm.
