Hey Marc fans... I know it's been a while since the last blog... but there's a new look & a new light to the space.. as Marc's BIG time of the year is just around the corner!

Wanted to share this cute home video with you all, as it is so great to see KIDS really enjoying Marc's spirit !!! If Marc could have only known people would be studying his moves like he did Elvis and Eddie Cochran (32 YEARS ON!) ....

As far as I'm concerned, there were only 3 real Kings of our time, and we've just lost the last of them.

It is/was such a shame to watch the world tear them down in their glory...

Hey cats...

Thought you might enjoy some more fascinating statistics about the Marc Bolan fanbase - in other words, US!

These come from the Marc Bolan Facebook page, which can be found here. Facebook allows you to "become a fan" of someone/something, and then tells all your friends when you do that, so Marc Bolan has been able to spread much faster there, compared to friend requests to this myspace! But I tread lightly as far as actually interacting with fans on there, because they do seem a little more touchy! lol

Anywhoo, see if this enlightens you!


I've been noticing a vast increase in visits from Italy... which is very cool! They are fun in the weekly chats as well! Thanks for sticking with this Marc site through thick and thin... 2 years this November?!?!

Another great chat today... with a little help from a new addition to the goodies on this site - our own radio station!!!

"Marc-Spaced" radio will play (during the scheduled chats), requests, interviews... all that good radio stuff! It would be cool to eventually have scheduled live radio specials/programs about Marc on there too...

This has started circulating around just today... and is very very exciting! Try not to drool while reading! lol


"UK production company 'Masterplan Film Productions Ltd' have secured the
film rights to "TWENTIETH CENTURY BOY", a biopic of legendary T.Rex
frontman Marc Bolan.

Marc Bolan has gone down in history as a cultural icon whose hit singles,
fashion sensibilities and stage presence with T.Rex in the early 1970s
helped cultivate the glam rock era. He remains one of the most recognisable
stars in British music.

The script has been written by first time scribe Susie Kahlich, who worked
closely with Bolan's family to create an accurate and deeply personal
potrayal of the legendary star. "This is a long overdue project and we're
really looking forward to finally seeing this get made" says Marc's son,
Rolan Bolan. "We think my dad's story and his music is important not only
to older fans, but appeals to a whole new crop of fans across all
generations."

Bolan's long time partner, Gloria Jones, feels the time is right for this
project. "I see 6-year olds wearing T.Rex T-shirts and dancing to Marc's
music. These young fans only go to show you that Marc was a man of great
spirit and integrity, and a child at heart that could speak to all
generations. We're really excited about this film, because while Marc's
story takes place in the past, the man and his music are very relevant to
the present."

The script has already been subject to interest from a number of the major
studios and has been described by industry insiders as "a beautiful and
often surreal trip into the mind of a musical genius". Award winning Welsh
film maker Andrew Jones will be producing the project for Masterplan Films.
Principal photography is set to begin in late 2010 and will take in a wide
range of locations including London, Wales and the USA.
We have not started casting the project yet so no one is in place to play
Marc as yet!"

Alright, it is safe to say today's chat was the best one yet! The regulars are sure getting the hang of it - there is no dead space in our chats... for 5+ hours!

We listed potential Marc-ish crayon colours... that was too much fun! Some of the cool ones were: Crimson Moon, Navy Bluemerang, Lilac Hand, Green Riot Structure, White Of Love, Yellow Love, Mango Sun, and the one I chuckled the most over - Sometimes Blue (thanks TerraplaneTommy) ha! I might be the only one that thinks that's hilarious

After crayons, we went into drinks... it was just endless!

So......

The next Marc Chat is literally the Same Marc Time, Same Marc Channel! You know the drill by now :) May 16th, 10 AM USA Pacific / 6 PM United Kingdom!

***For Marc fans in Oz, there will be an earlier chat starting at 5 AM USA Pac. / 1 PM UK. [I think that would be 10 PM in Australia?] Maybe some others of you can make it early to the chat too!?

Hi all...

Just dropping in real quick, for this blog-worthy video!

Marc - in his tight pink pants, high heeled sneakers... rocks it awesome (even with a bit of a cold!) He was such a great performer, and always kept it light... see if you can spot where he sings 'dandy in the underwear' ... ...............



In other news, the THIRD big Marc chat is today (Saturday, already?) at 10 AM for the West Coast of USA, 6 PM United Kingdom, 7 PM for those who joined us from Germany last time... I swear next week will be weirdly scheduled just for you fans from the land of OZ!
