Calling all Michael Roe fans in Idaho, Utah and Colorado.  Yes, you read that right.  After a successful tour in July we are planning on riding into the Rocky Mountains in mid-October, taking the good Doctor to parts less traveled.  No specific dates have been set yet.

We are looking for anyone who may be interested, even if  you have never hosted a concert before in your life.  This is your opportunity to invite Mike into your home (or other venue).  There were a number of folks who booked Mike for a house concert this past summer, who invited their friends and family, and made a party out of it.  Don't be left out.  You can do that, too!

We are only asking for a $400 guarantee plus $150 for hotel buy-outs ($75 x 2) for a total of $550, cheap at twice the price.  There will also be some minimal sound requirements.  We will help you in any way we can to make it so you have a successful show.

If you are interested in hosting a Master Class, we can do that, too.  We only need 5 people to preregister.  The cost of the Master Class is separate from the concert ticket.  A special free disk will be available only to those attending the class.

The sooner we hear from you, the better chance you will have to book the date you desire.

Michael Roe’s new album, "We All Gonna Face The Rising Sun" can be heard on iTunes and Rhapsody.

Don’t be shy!  Call or email me today.

We are anticipating the Michael Roe House Concert tour to run from July 5-31.

With the success of other house concerts, we are thinking your house, backyard, or wherever, would be the perfect venue and best way for folks to experience Mike Roe's music and song, possibly for the very first time.  Mike has invited friends and musical guests to accompany him on this living room journey, so you never know what surprises may be in store.

There will be a contract for you to sign.

Promoters would provide:
* A clean, safe, performance space that will comfortably seat a minimum of 20 people, with room for a small PA (provided by Mike) and a "stage" area close to electric outlets large enough to accommodate an amp, a couple of guitars, microphones, etc, plus a table where merchandise can be sold.

* A minimum of 2 volunteers to be available from the time Mike arrives until his departure, to help with load-in, set-up, and load-out, and at least one trustworthy person over the age of 21, who is able to make change, to sell merchandise.

* A commitment to promote your show!  We can't do it for you, though we will post your concert on the announcement lists, message boards and websites.  You must get the word out in your neighborhoods, friends, church, workplace, etc, to get people out to your show.

No tickets will be sold at the door.  We will pre-sell a set number of tickets on various websites before the show (including myspace and Facebook). Tickets will be $20.  You will be provided with a detailed list before the show of everyone who will be coming.  You will not have to deal with any money.  (You will be provided with up to 4 free tickets for the show.)

You have the freedom to make this a party!  Have fun!  Make it a finger food potluck!  Make ice cream!  Have a barbeque!  You name it!

Outdoor shows are generally discouraged during the summer due to unpredictability and extremes of weather conditions, and must be cleared by us beforehand.  In the event we approve your space for it, the area must be covered and protected from the sun.  You must also have an alternate venue in case of an emergency.  The show must go on, rain or shine.

There will be more specifics in the actual contract you will sign.

Please let us know if you're interested in pursuing this.

..........................

Everybody knows it's ugly out
there, so why not join MICHAEL ROE (The 77’s/The Lost Dogs) as he plays songs
that will share our collective blues while attempting to chase them away at the
same time.  No mean feat in these difficult days, but as we know, the Good
Doctor always has plenty of good cheer and powerful medicine to help cure what
ails us. Mike will be playing songs from the 77s' latest release "Holy
Ghost Building" as well as the 'more miserable' and saddest songs he can
find from his collective 77s/Lost Dogs/solo past.  In addition, he will be
previewing songs from his upcoming solo album that deal with our collective
hard times from ....America....'s
rocky economic past -- songs of mutual despair and hope culled from the great
American blues/gospel/bluegrass masters of yesteryear.

Speaking of 'masters', with this tour Mike is offering a pre-show "Master
Class" giving you, the fan, a unique opportunity to get inside his head
and hear the stories behind the songs you all know and love.  The Master
Class concept is Mike’s response to years of requests from fans for personal
input regarding songwriting and guitar playing.  In order to gather
information about what you, the fan, may want in the future from a master class
session, this first in a series will not be a 'clinic' in the typical music
store sense nor a formal 'class' featuring printed curricula.  Mike says
“This is my chance to share some knowledge and technique with my fans in a more
intimate and informal setting than you would commonly experience from an artist
in a music store or convention setting.  During the Master Class session,
my hope is to engage with the fans on a more personal level and share insight
into some of the songs that have become favorites over the years.  I think
it’s a great opportunity for all of us to have a lot of fun learning what I
thought I already knew!”

For the first time, fans will be able to hear the true (as opposed to rumored)
stories about their favorite songs that will reveal how and why they were
written.  Then, they can witness up close the guitar parts that made them
come alive, all in an effort to expose some of the mystery behind the playing,
writing and composing process.  Mike will also be happy to field questions
regarding vocalizing, the business of music, recording techniques and much
more.

“One feature of this concept that makes it unique will be the submission of
specific questions and topics by the attendees beforehand so that I can gear
each class session specifically to those that will actually be there.  I
am also expecting that a fair amount of the fun and goodwill present during
these class sessions will spill over into the concert performance that evening.
Those who attend the sessions will have the option to bring along their
own acoustic guitars, and I will attempt to teach the group a medley of one of
our 'hits' with the aim that if all goes well, the group could join me onstage
for a final encore at the evening performance. A splendid time is guaranteed
for all!” - Mike Roe

As a special bonus for paid "Master Class" attendees, Mike will offer
a free CD of rare and unreleased tracks as a limited edition souvenir to mark
the event.  This special CD will only be available to those who attend the
"Master Class" sessions!!  Please note that there will be a
separate fee and registration to attend the "Master Class."  To register, visit http://www.myspace.com/micro77s and
click on the PayPal link for the Master Class nearest you.  You may pose any questions on the PayPal
payment form.  There must be 10
participants for the class to go forward.
In the event the class is cancelled due to lack of interest, your fee
will be fully refunded.

Lo-Fidelity Presents:
Mike Roe - "Harvest Loon" Tour 2008

Please join us as Mike dons a turkey suit and rings in the harvest with a continuation of his successful and much lauded "John The Baptist" and "Holy Ghost Building" tours....

"The John The Baptist and 77s Holy Ghost Building tours played very well but both were so brief. I really look forward to spending a couple weeks on the road performing the new 77s album material to our fans in their homes, church's and clubs. The new album was so much fun to premier in an intimate acoustic setting and I would love to share it all again before the holidays set in." - Mike Roe

Mike will again make a solo return to the road, playing both acoustic and electric guitars, and featuring material from the recently released 77s recording, "Holy Ghost Building" as well as doing special requests and fan favorites from the past.

We are still confirming a few dates and we are awaiting full details from promoters for others. We still need to fill some open dates....feel free to contact jeffrey k. at booking@lo-fidelity.com if you would like info on booking Mike in your home, church, or club.

Michael Roe, Terry Scott Taylor, Derri Daugherty and Steve Hindalong are The Lost Dogs.  The time is fast approaching when The Lost Dogs will once again be taking the 'Scenic Routes'.

September 14th is the kickoff date in the Chicago area.  You will find them traversing The Glory Road in a pursuit to rediscover an America gone but not forgotten, which now seems more alive in the imagination than reality.  More than just an itching of four aging and wandering spirits, the journey they take will be a search for artistic inspiration along America's most iconic highway.

Emphasis will be placed on their various encounters and interviews with the uniquely fascinating people found along Route 66.  The band will travel by RV and trade in the comforts of three-star hotels for the simple pleasure of a campfire shared with friends.

A GPS unit, provided by BrickHouse Security, will allow fans to go online and watch the band's every move in real-time or even get in their cars, come out and travel along with them for a few miles.  Video blogs will be posted so fans can watch as their experiences are transformed into a musical narrative of The Glory Road.

Fans can donate money (at www.thelostdogs.com or www.myspace.com/thelostdogsmusic) to have their names included in the CD credits and credit roll of the DVD and may enter into the auction to purchase items from the tour including the Waterstone guitars the band will use while on the road. The tour will end with a beach party at the Santa Monica pier, where the band will share new songs from the road. Come join the Dogs lost on Route 66 as the journey becomes the music.

Lo-Fidelity Records and The 77s are proud to present the highly anticipated release of their new studio recording, "Holy Ghost Building." Recorded over a 2-year stretch, the initial sessions were done quickly, much like Johnny Cash or Elvis recorded their early records at Sun Studios in Memphis. Mike Roe comments, "Those guys would choose a song, play through it to get the feel and arrangement, and while it was all fresh they would just roll the tape. Drawing from literally the same sources they did, we did the same thing....choosing old gospel, blues and bluegrass tunes that said something to us as a band, and then recording them on the spot with no rehearsal....the only difference was we spent a couple years putting the finishing touches on the songs!"

While "Holy Ghost Building" could be called a "return to form" for the band, saying so would also sell short the new depth the band has found in playing these songs. The record has The 77's touchstones of rock and blues, but they have also included folk, slide guitar, Byrds-era jangle electric 12-strings, and vocal harmonies previously unheard on any 77's record. Mike says "When folks ask me what this record sounds like, I like to say 'Elvis, Scotty, Bill & D.J.' because we did it exactly the way those guys did the early Elvis recordings. It even sounds like them sonically here and there, but thankfully none of that was planned either, which of course makes me very happy. You can't plan those things without them often sounding planned, and I'm so glad we didn't. Even the one original tune we tacked on at the end of this project as a bonus treat for the fans was made up on the spot: music, lyrics, melody and all. Talk about risk! But that's how you end up with records like the ones I loved as a kid, and this one's got that sound and feeling.

" For a preview off the record, visit www. myspace. com/the77s to hear "Working on a Building," the first single. The band will feature three new songs off the record leading up to its release.

The first pressing of "Holy Ghost Building" will feature limited edition digipack packaging and is scheduled for release beginning Friday, June 20th to coincide with The 77's brief return to the road.
