Seasons Greetings Ya`ll from the Randall Bramblett Band !!
During the hustle and bustle of the holidays it`s important to take time for yourself, and there`s no better source of healing than an evening of live Randal Bramblett Band.
This month you have two more opportunities to catch the boys in full swing.
First, a rare acoustic set by the full band at Eddie`s Attic in Decatur, GA takes place this Friday the 11th. Randall has been playing a number of solo shows this fall, occasionally performing with Mike Hines from the RBB as a duo, but this night will provide a different soundscape when the whole band takes the stage.
Show kicks at 8..for info..www.eddiesattic.com
The day after Christmas brings all the presents this year when the RBB return to one of their favorite haunts, The Melting Point in Athens, GA. A hometown gig always brings out the best, but expect extra fireworks for this holiday appearance. Doors at 6, fun at 8.

The Randall Bramblett Band is excited to be performing as the Sunday Headliner at Athfest this weekend. Show scheduled for a 7 pm start. For the music lover, this is a do-not-miss festival, all the more so this year with the RBB on the main outdoor
stage !!  If you are planning on attending, here are some tips ..more can be found at athfest.com......   Come out and support Randall and the Athens music scene !

AthFest is a 501(c)(3) non-profit annual music and arts festival in downtown Athens, Georgia that largely showcases the Athens area musical and artistic community. Much of AthFest is free while wristbands or cover charges are required for certain events. AthFest's mission is to educate citizens and visitors about music and arts in general, and about Athens music and arts in particular.
Rain Plans: AthFest is a community event and we are very concerned about public safety. In the event of dangerous rain, lightening, wind, or other weather conditions during AthFest there may be delays, venue changes, or performer cancellations on the Outdoor Stages. AthFest staff will be monitoring weather conditions using internet weather forecasting sites to make decisions about the safety of performers and the public in the outdoor stage areas. The decision to stop, delay, cancel or move a performance due to weather conditions will be made by the Director with input from the stage technical directors.

There are two rain locations for the AthFest Outdoor Stages for 2009 and they are the Morton Theatre and the 40 Watt. If the event is rained out as many of the bands as we can accommodate from the Main Stage will play in the 40 Watt. Bands from the second stage and KidsFest stage will move into the Morton. The Club Crawl in the downtown venues will be held rain or shine and the wristbands for the Club Crawl will still be valid and are non-refundable.

Wristband Information - Wristbands allow unlimited acccess to participating venues, subject to age and capacity restrictions. Outdoor stages are free and do not require wristbands. Wristbands also provide discounts or free entry to Affiliated Events put on in conjunction with AthFest. Wristbands are now available for pre-order online and in Athens at Wuxtry Records, SchoolKids Records, the Athens Welcome Center, and Cine. They will also be available during AthFest at the Main Stage area and at venues.
Location - The Main Stage Area of AthFest is on Washington Street in the two blocks in front of the 40 Watt Club (285 W. Washington Street) and the Morton Theatre. This area will house the outdoor stages, Artist Market, KidsFest, vendors and more. Club crawl venues are located throughout downtown.

A quick update for all of the RBB..s friends and neighbors..
We..ve received word that there will be line up change at the Blind Willie McTell Blues Festival.  As you might know, Randall will be in attendance on May 9th for a set, but due to Buddy Miller..s recent illness, Buddy will have to miss the event. Miller, who was slated to co-headline with Chuck Leavell, is
sidelined until June due to bypass heart surgery performed in February.
The lineup change marks the first time in the festival history that an
artist slated to perform here has had to cancel. In Mr. Miller's place, singer/songwriter Jim Lauderdale will take
the stage. Lauderdale is one of the premier Americana and bluegrass
artists in music today. Patty Loveless, The Dixie Chicks, Mark
Chestnut, Vince Gill, and George Strait are just a handful of the
artists who have recorded Mr. Lauderdale's songs.
This year's festival lineup also includes Hubert Sumlin, Chatham County Line, Willie "Big Eyes" Smith and McDuffie
County's own Crosstie Walkers.
Tickets for the May 9 festival go on sale April 1. Go to www.blindwillie.com for the latest information on the 2009 festival. Get your tickets soon....gonna be ahellofa show........

  Hey Now Campers...

For those of you too young to remember,or too old and have forgotten, a brief history lesson. Back in the seventies the primer record label featuring southern artists was Capricorn. An independent label launched in 1969 by Phil Walden, Alan Walden, and Frank Fenter. Capricorn became famous for spearheading southern rock, including notables like the Allman Brothers Band and Cowboy. This year the Brothers will head out on a 40th anniversary tour, but this week some other members of the Capricorn stable will be hitting the road in a reunion revival of their own.
Randall Bramblett, Tommy Talton and Scott Boyer were all part of the scene back in the day, Tommy and Scott as founding members of Cowboy and Randall as Capricorn sideman extrodinaire. All of them enjoyed notoriety then, and have continued to practice their craft successfully for years. This coming weekend the trio will be barnstorming across Alabama in three dates, 3/5 in Montgomery, 3/6 in Mobile and 3/7 in Tuscaloosa. Randall and Tommy will also be appearing in Roswell, GA for two nights on March 13 and 14. Magic happens when old friends gather with their instruments, so take advantage of the opportunity to see and hear some southern music history ! Who knows, they might even regale you with a sordid tale from those halcyon days....
