Current Acts

~Poodle Parlour~

'How much is that doggy in the window?' Nothing when she's scruffy, but when she visits the Poodle Parlor and strips to reveal her six tassels she becomes the pampered pooch everybody wants!

A thematic and witty character take on the classic striptease, performed to a cut of Perez Prado's 'Mambo Number 5'

~Rhinestone Cowboy Balloon Pop~
Join Vendetta on those dirty sidewalks of Broadway as a pistol packin', six shootin', balloon popin' cowboy!A deliciously kitsch character balloon pop with optional tassel twirling finale, performed to Glen Campbell's 'Rhinestone Cowboy'

~V for Vendetta! Military Strip~

V for Vengeance, V for Victory, V for Vendetta! Stand to attention as Vendetta celebrates the glorious revolution by shedding the uniform of war! A modern and atmospheric striptease with a  strong fetish aesthetic, perfect for neo-burlesque evenings, fetish nights and other crossover events, performed to Laibach Tanz Mit Laibach

~Ballet Heels Geisha~

Delicate and ethereal, the blushing geisha glances out from behind her fans to entice and delight from the dizzying height of her impossible heels....but do they represent her restraint and subjugation, or her wild erotic abandon...? A dance act with oriental fans performed entirely on 7inch fetish ballet heels to traditional Japanese music

~Mistletoe Balloon Pop~

Perfect for the Holiday Season, Vendetta is looking for smooches.
A classic balloon pop performed to Aretha Franklin's 'Kissin' by the Mistletoe'

~Southern Discomfort~ aka ~Burning Ring of Fire Balloon Pop~ (Currently under Redevelopment)

~Ambient Acts/Characters~

Blessed with a huge wardrobe of costumes so ambient acts can be customised for any event or theme. Some popular characters have proven to be....

....

The Maid: A wonderfully sexy PVC maid to clean up after performers and guests, hand out drinks, or any other aspect of domestic bliss.....

....

Cigarette Girl/Usherette: An ambient classic, the usherette can be bubbly or sultry, professional or just plain trashy! With her tray to sell wares, or guide guests to their seats, she is always a winner.....

....

Vendetta the Horror Hostess: One part Vampira, one part Elvira; all Vendetta! The Horror Hostess is a unique character that mixes schlock horror and pin up charm for a retro kick back to the days of the drive in....don't have nightmares darlings!....

....

....

All Aboard MoB’s Movers and Shakers!

Docking at Glasgow, Campaign Captain Vendetta Vain is seeking adventurous locals...

Ahoy me hearties, the good ship 'Movers & Shakers' is looking for a new crew to swab the decks: It’s time to weigh the anchor, set sail, and earn those sea legs!

Based on the increasing demand for performance opportunities, ‘Movers & Shakers’ is an early evening, free event designed to give a platform to new, emerging talent on the burlesque and cabaret circuit. Unlike the majority of new-comer and hobbyist events, Movers and Shakers is produced by those with long standing expertise and success in the genre and the event places emphasis entirely on inclusive fun and community support.

The Ministry of Burlesque were lauded as ‘The Movers and Shakers of the Burlesque World’ by the BBC and so it seems only fitting to bestow this moniker upon those emerging stars and hopeful new comers too. The event is for performers of all levels of experience so as to get that essential stage time and professional feedback - whether it's old timers trying out a new act or new comers taking to the stage for the first time.

About Vendetta:

Putting the ‘Imp’ in ‘Impresario’ - the captain of the Scottish Movers and Shakers fleet is Vendetta Vain. An establish performer in Scotland and herself a graduate of the MoB Academy, Vendetta has been attending burlesque events since 2003 and performing since 2007. Her knowledge and passion for the burlesque and cabaret circuit in Scotland, together with her natural charm and confidence (both on and off stage!), make her the perfect candidate to keep everything running ship shape and Bristol fashion!

A Good Mission:

Not only is Movers and Shakers a real opportunity for aspiring new performers, but it is also working to preserve the history of the genre by helping to support the Britannia Panopticon Music Hall Preservation Trust. Located in Glasgow’s Trongate, the Britannia Panopticon is the UK’s oldest surviving music hall and was founded in 1857. It was the hub of popular entertainment in the vibrant Victorian Glasgow metropolis, and remained open until 1938. At present, the Trust is working to restore the music hall to its former glory and all guests at Movers & Shakers Scotland are asked to show their support for this grand old building.

So, if you would like to tread the boards in the same venue where a young Stan Laurel once made his debut, then contact Vendetta, and remember the MoB Motto….Together we Can Can!

"A gorgeous, playfull burlesque in Vendetta Vain," - Fringe Review

"über-cool burlesquer" The Skinny

“Vendetta Vain injects her performances with humour, encouraging the audience to laugh at her vibrant, cartoon-like characters. Her pieces are colourful and playful, adding an up-tempo energy-burst to any stage show. Vendetta was a pleasure to work with, professional both on-stage and back-stage. I would not hesitate to work with her again.” - Beatrix Von Bourbon, ShakeItDoll.com

"Bringing burlesque back to it's origins; Vendetta creates perfect tales of cheeky glamour, clever circumstance and play. As a well known stalwart of the Scottish Scene, Vendetta's acts are thought-provoking and definitely provide more than is expected. A wonderful performer to work with both onstage and behind, I am always delighted to see Vendetta's name on the bill." - Amelie Soleil from Frayed Knot Circus

“Vendetta's gun-totin' finale certainly hit the mark!”  - The Bluesbunny Independent Music Reviews
