Well I can't believe it! The Ryman is sold out! I can't wait for everyone to hear my new album and what an amazing place to debut it. Thanks to all who shelled out their hard earned money to come and help me celebrate a very special night.

Sorry it’s been a while since I wrote a blog. I guess I have kinda replaced it with tweeting. I have had a lot going on lately. Just left Nashville last week doing three days of press for the new album. I hosted a party for cotton and People Country. It was so great. A lot of friends stopped by to say hi. Thanks to all of the artist for showing up. Greatly appreciated.

I went to see Beyonce in Dallas in July and when I got there my mom and my manager surprised me and said they had set up a meet and greet. It was so amazing to get to meet her. She is one of my hero's. She was so nice and very soft spoken. I think I said like 100 words in one minute though. Anyway, we had a blast and the show was so unbelievable. Go see it.

Check out the video blog we shot of our random day off. Jordan, Aden, and I were in a little town in Utah right on the border of Idaho and we realized we were only 20 miles form the town where they filmed Napolean. We walked to the rental car place and the only thing they had left was a cargo van. So me, the guys and Delta and Delilah loaded up and took off to Idaho. I had to sit on a stool that we took off the bus. Needless to say we had a blast. It was an awesome road trip. Glad it was documented.

I guess that is it for now. Keep up with me on twitter for more random thoughts. Don’t forget, love a shelter pet.

Well here we go people. Its finally time. I have been so excited about all the fans hearing this record. I have had an amazing week already and its not even half over yet. Tuesday I did an ACM Honors ceremony. I sang a Merle Song and Hank Jr. song. Blake was there too and we hung backstage with some of my all time heroes…Patty Loveless (who I germed horribly), Vince, John Anderson, Steve Wariner, Kenny Rogers and more. But most important….Merle himself. I will fess up, I kissed him on the cheek....TWICE! I just couldn't help myself. I mean, how many opportunities like that am I gonna have? There is a picture to prove it (which I will be hanging in my house). I will post “the kiss” as soon as I can. ....

Then we did the show at the Ryman. We did the record in sequence and had great response from the crowd. We also did some singles and a few country classics. It was so surreal being there and standing on that stage, especially after everything on Tuesday. Those will be nights that I never forget. EVER! Thanks to everyone who showed up to hang out with us on such a special night. To my family and the Ran Fans, I’m glad you guys were right up front. I love you all for it. ....

We will be doing a lot of stuff in the next two weeks for the album release. GMA and Letterman on the 29th.  Jimmy Fallon on Thursday. Next week, Ellen!!!! I can’t wait.  I love her show!....

I hope you all enjoy the record and I can’t wait to hear what ya think.....

Don't forget, Love a shelter pet....

MIRANDA LAMBERT SELLS OUT RYMAN IN OPENING WEEKEND

FACT: “WHITE LIAR” A HIT WITH FANS & RADIO

With Miranda Lambert’s Revolution growing towards its September 29 release, the intensity is building on all fronts. Tickets went on sale for her September 24 headline show at the Ryman Auditorium on a Friday and before the weekend was over, the show had been declared Sold Out!

While the Ryman show will be the first opportunity for fans to hear Revolution in its entirety, Lambert is performing several songs from the album while on tour with Kenny Chesney. The new single, “White Liar,” written by Lambert and Natalie Hemby has quickly become a fan favorite and the candor at radio says it all. Keith Hill, the “Un Consultant” says, “Love It! A record I want to hear again and again.”  TJ McEntire, MD KBEQ ....Kansas City.... calls Lambert the “Loretta Lynn of her time,” adding that “‘White Liar’ is the best country tune I’ve heard in a long time, and reminds me why I’m in the business!”

Of the song Lambert allows, “This songs sounds like a lot of my influences. I feel like it’s a huge staple on this album because it’s different.” She continues, “I love songs that create images, tell a story that people can make up there own little movie to in their minds. To me that’s interesting and it keeps the music alive.”

Recently People Magazine Country, Cotton Incorporated and Miranda hosted a VIP party in ....Nashville.... to coincide with the launch of Miranda’s print campaign representing “The Fabric Of Our Lives”.  Lambert is featured on the back cover of the current People Magazine Country Special Issue and can also be seen on the August 17 cover of Country Weekly.  Maggie Murphy, Assistant Managing Editor for People Magazine said, “Miranda has her own style, her own vision and everyone respects what she does. Which is exactly how we want people to feel about People Country. We were thrilled to include Miranda in the issue and have her host our first celebration party. Both People Country and Miranda's new album, Revolution, are going to have a great fall.”

J. Berrye Worsham, President, CEO, Cotton Incorporated adds, “Miranda’s interpretation of The Fabric of Our Lives words and music demonstrates her talent and her personality. Her take, coupled with her own sense of style, positions cotton as fashionable and versatile to a new generation.”

Sunday, May 24, 2009

The second annual "Cause for the Paws" went off without a hitch. I think it was even better than last year. Adam Hood and Kacey Musgraves played and, of course, Blake and I. We don't have the total count yet, but we might have beat last year's number of $113,000. Near the end of the set people started sending notes to the stage like "I'll pay $1000 to hear 'The More I Drink' and $500 for 'More Like Her'". I got so overwhelmed because people were so giving to something that means the world to me. I started crying because I was thinking about all my animals and how much they are loved and then all the animals that don't have a home. It seems like people are just as passionate as I am about it, and that is priceless. We lost a dog right around Easter. Our dog Hank, the one Blake found at the boat dock last year, disappeared. We think he was killed by a pack of wild dogs that had been roaming the area. Thinking about the year he was with us though, I know he died happy. And if he happens to be alive, and someone took him, please bring him home. Hank, you are loved and missed. Anyway enough sadness, we kicked butt for the Humane Society of East Texas!!! I want to thank.... Aden, Scotty, Newsome, Pone and Jordan for coming and making the show great, Mom and Dad did all the leg work, of course The Villa, Gayle and the H.S.O.E.T. and staff and the volunteers. Everyone did a great job. I will post the numbers ASAP!

Another moving day... Yesterday in Baltimore, Aden, Jordan and I went to visit Walter Read hospital. It's the place where all the wounded warriors come when they get hurt. It serves all military. Two years ago I got to go to Bethesda, which is also a hospital for the wounded, so when this came up, I was all about it. We got to meet and talk with about six soldiers that were wounded while serving. They showed us pictures and told their stories of what happened. Sometimes they ask you before you go in if you are squeamish because some of the injuries are pretty graphic. You can't imagine how humbling it is to hear these guys, who have broken legs or are amputees or have shattered bones, talk. All they can say is how they are mad that they can't be with their buddies fighting for us and how they want to get back. And they all just kept thanking us for coming, and I 'm like "jeez that's the least we can do". Look what these people sacrificed for us and are willing to do it again!!!

It just feels sometimes that we are removed a little from what's going on with he war because all we see is the news, and we live in our happy world out here on the road. But its really hits home when you talk to a 23 year old kid with all of his limbs gone who is just a normal guy that you would have gone to high school with. It takes it from just being on the news straight to your core. I mean I wish I could have stayed all day and, if nothing else, just bring a smile to their faces. Cause they definitely bring a smile to mine. Aden made 'em smile cause he had the Hawk rockin'.  The soldiers all commented on Gun Powder. They like its cause its about shootin' people!!!

So I say all that to say: thanks to all who serve and to all the guys and girls at the hospital that allowed us a look into your world. We are all praying for you and hope that we can bring joy and peace through our music.

And......Don't forget, love a shelter pet.

Ran

PS: I wanted to say a huge thank you to all the Ran Fans who worked on the scrapbook they presented to me at the meet and greet at Cause. It reminded me of all the great times we've had in the past few years. It took a lot of work to put that book together and I appreciate all the fans who had a part in it. It is awesome!
