hello myspace!

if you follow me on twitter, (if you don't follow me now @jillianriscoe ;D) i know you got to read and (see) all my posts and twitpics all last week during my trip to austin texas!

it went amazing! minus getting lost on the highway the first day hahaha..

i finished recording the last 5 songs on the album at the stellar yellowDOGstudios with the amazing dave percefull (rock on dave!) all week long..you guys will totally dig the new material! should i put up an album preview in august or a snippet of a new song or something? let me know thoughts! ;)

south congress ave. rules. that's all i have to say ha, we hung out there alot when i wasn't in the studio and i <3 it and miss it ha. rad shops, rad restraunts, rad scene, rad people. :D shoutout to soco in austin!

got to hang out w/ my rockin texas street team leader katy and her bro jeremiah and sis abby the first night, we went to home slice pizza (giant pizza=delicious haha) and hung out in soco! they rock! (rock on katy, abby&jeremiah!, we're officially homeslices haha get it? :P) got some rad vintage stuff f/new bohemia<3 on the way home, we were attacked by a flock? of bats under a bridge, not the bridge you're supposed to see them at either ha.

hung out w/ heather f/ best bet promotions on tuesday night! (rock on heath!) went to the famous threadgill's where people like janis joplin, van morrison used to hang out..rad place, great food! then we "hung out" off of 6th street (haha) then hung out in soco again because i can't stay away from it.

wednesday after studio i went down to san antonio for the afternoon/evening. went to the alamo again, and then went to the riverwalk. so pretty. walked around, ate at casa rio, took a boat tour down the river which i was afraid we were going to go under, but then the tour guide said, save yourself if the boat tips over, it's only 3 feet of water. ha!

thursday! finished up the last song in the studio then headed down to soco again in search for souveniers for everyone back home! got at quick bite to eat at guerro's then went back to the hotel for a bit then went to oasis at lake travis which was insane. it's this huge restraunt on a cliff on lake travis. beautiful. looks like the mediterrean (sp) sea and greece. met up w/ phil marshall&jessica leibowitz for a bit there, rock on phil&jessica! got back to the hotel to pack and sleep!

left friday morning, got back to KC about 8pm.

i had a stellar time and love you austin texas! can't wait to go back! look for pics and vids all this week from the trip! shoutouts to...
