Hey Everybody. Marc here giving you cool cats an update on whats going all things post-Faully

Tom was named runner-up Businessperson of the Year for his extreame success in his costume shop. **Thumbs Up**

Carp is working with NWA and is one of their most valued workers. NO. NOT THAT NWA. Northwest Airlines.

Nick is going to be doing some solo acoustic shows. Go check them out. all information Nicholas Bjerke can be found at www.myspace.com/nicholasbjerke

Finally, the reason im posting this blog, is that in case you haven't heard, I joined the Evermore Escape as they went full band and we are now about to begin performing as a full band. We have our first official full band show at the Whats Up Lounge on Feb 18th. HOWEVER, for those Faully Fans who live in the New Ulm area, we are the headliners for the local TEENFEST this Saturday night. There will be full band, there will be original trio music. If you loved Faully, there may be a place in your heart for the Evermore Escape to help fill. Please check out www.myspace.com/theevermoreescape for updates!

Hopefully I can tell you something nice next month too!

Tonight was amazing, probably my favorite Mankato show ever. Thanks to everyone for the past three years of my life, which because of all of you guys, was absolutly amazing and unforgettable. There are far too many people to thank, but I'll try to break it down.

To anyone who ever bought anything from Faully, you helped keep us around for as long as we were.

To anyone who came to a show, you were our audience, and we thank you for your eyes and ears.

To anyone who ever snuck into a show, thanks for taking the effort and for being a fan, but seriously, you probably owe us $5, you fucker. (jk)

To anyone who ever drove to a Faully show, thank you for basically saying we were worth the time you spent driving to one of our many shows. Also, thank you for contributing to traffic jams and our growing national dependance on oil.

To anyone who ever let us crash on a floor, bed, couch, chair, carpet, or pillow, we probably owe you at least $70 a night, and extra for cleaning up the mess we made in the living room (or the one carp made in the bathroom) but instead we gave you a hug, a cd, and a t-shirt and then ate your food. Thanks for helping us tour across the nation.

To anyone who ever listened to our music in a cd player or mp3 player, thank you for listening to us instead of really good music like Incubus, RHCP, or Kevin Federline. That shows us we were doing something right.

To anyone who sent me a thought, message, prayer, joke, or card during my hospitilization in 2005. Its because of all of you that I made it through the whole ordeal, and got back on stage.

To the parents of all the aformention people. We're sorry. Our bad. We're done now.

To anyone whoever booked us at a show. Bet you regretted that, huh? Thanks for the shows.

To all the bands we played with, including Bring Back Tomorrow, ATITS, Cannary Rose, Asking Abby, The Semester, CBD, Dropping Daylight, Quietdrive, Almost There, The Evermore Escape, Rainy Day Ollie, Straight Outta Junior High, Burning Both Ends, Somerset, Facing New York, Silent Rain/Hangar Wednesday, Makeshift Empire, Notwithstanding, Small Towns, Stereoscope, and all the other bands we were good friends with or who gave us a shot to open for, Thanks to you guys for putting up with us and treating us as equals. (my apologies if i left out good friends, I'm pretty tired, although thats no excuse)

To anyone I forgot. Sorry, i guess you weren't important enough to remember. JK. i have a bad memory, but I want to extend a special thanks for both what you did for us AND a apology for forgetting about you now.

Now I would like to share some words that I think are pertenant...

So long and thanks for all the fish
So sad that it should come to this
We tried to warn you all but oh dear?

You may not share our intellect
Which might explain your disrespect
For all the natural wonders that
grow around you

So long, so long and thanks
for all the fish

The world's about to be destroyed
There's no point getting all annoyed
Lie back and let the planet dissolve

Ok. so its just a segment of a song from Hitchikers Guide from the Galaxy, but i figured it made some sense.

Goodbye everyone. Farewell. Don't be strangers, and to those who we will not see again, We miss you

Marc
Faully (September 2003-November 2006)

Sunday, October 01, 2006

Hello everyone.

It is with a heavy heart and a sad demeanor that i bring news that burns me to the core. After hundreds of shows with local and national greats, in front of a few thousand good friends and aquaintances, at venues both famous and infamous, and three years of the perfect job, the band known as "the other Faully" has reached its end. We are at a different place than we were when we began in 2003. While some of us want to never stop playing, others have priorities that offer them new and exciting futures. It wouldn't be the same going on under the current name without the same faces. So instead of trying to replace the unreplaceable, we are going to leave the band as we started, as a unit united.

We have no 'irreconsileable differences' that are common with many divorces. We leave the band as friends, and more unifying, as roommates.

We may start a local cover band so we can still do what we love to do together. Who knows. We may even cover some Faully tunes. Who knows what the future may bring.

I'm sure Nick will continue on with his solo music. Why wouldn't he? He's written several songs that the three of us cannot stop singing everywhere we go. He may even turn it into his next official project. I expect him to dominate the local acoustic scene. Keep your eyes peeled for him to start performing.

Tom is successful, as he always is, with his business endevors. He started out his business career selling baseball cards to collectors. He now sells costumes. Every business he has started has been successful. Save one, that is. I once asked him if he ever had a business endevor that was not financially successful. He laughed and replied "Only one: Faully." If you need a costume check out http://www.costumesgalore.net or take a drive down to 1014 s front street in Mankato. I'm willing to bet that you will find what your looking for.

I'm not sure what Carp has in mind. I think you will see him in another band sooner or later. Wherever he ends up, I wish him the best, and i wish his bandmates to buy earplugs. Carp and I are talking about starting something new as well, so he may not be going to far.

Speaking of such, here's my deal. I fully intend to continue playing in bands. If you know someone looking for a bass player, let me know. Also, as i said, Carp and I may be starting a new band. Anyone who wants to try and sing and play guitar come on down to the house and we'll jam. We may even join a band that is already in existence. But I WILL be playing somewhere. You guys lit a fire in me to perform for crowds and live my life on a stage.

Some of you may be thinking about a final show. Well, We are keeping the Keep Minnesota Nice tour and are using it as our farewell tour. We can't get everywhere we want to get, but maybe you guys can come out and help us have the best sendoff ever.

Thanks for all the memories, and lets work to make the November shows the best we've ever played.

I can't wait until I play for you guys again. I'll keep you posted as to what we are going to be doing post Faully in the music world.

with love, respect, and many thanks,
Marc Richmond and
