Current mood:Intrigued
So, we're writing the last few tunes for the new record.  I'm really excited about three new tunes in particular, because virtually no one has heard them.  I think some of the music on the new record is heading in a little bit of a different direction, but we're really excited about getting into some new territory.  As far as the studio goes, we're finishing the drums this month.  We've already cut a lot of scratch tracks and tested out mic placements, and I think we're getting a really good drum sound.  Daniel's new kit sounds great, the toms really resonate and the snare has a good crack to it.  Blue has been working really hard on the bass ever since he transitioned over from guitar, and he's really sounding solid.  The bass is playing a lot larger role on this album than it did on the EP, and I like the change.  We can't wait to get the new tunes out and see what everyone thinks.

Thanks for all the support,
                                       -Jake

Picked up some new mics today...more on the way.  Hurry up, UPS!

Pre-production has already begun.  Setting levels, laying down scratch tracks, etc.

The weather is pretty crappy right now.  Cold and rainy.

It's almost Christmas.  Where in the hell did this year run off to?  Last minute shopping is approaching.

Stay tuned...

Greetings everyone,

Just wanted to let you know we've posted a new song from the upcoming CD.  Though it's still in it's infancy, we couldn't resist the temptation to give all of you a sneak peak at what's in store.  More "leaks" to follow in the upcoming months.  Stay tuned...

Thanks for your support,
Daniel

Clocks on the wall,
screaming you're running out of time.
Doctor gives you drugs,
so that you don't lose your mind.
People disagree,
and someone's got to die.
When everyone is right,
everyone is blind.

Money is god,
and people are for sale.
The government is corrupt,
and they control the jails.
These murderers are walking,
the justice system failed.
The hypocrites are pointing,
and they've saved their seats in hell.

I'm not asking for perfection,
just a little decency.
After all, it is the 21st century.

Mother nature, save yourself.
We have tried, but we have failed.
We are killers, we lie and steal.
The just man silent, his lips are sealed.
Mother nature, save yourself.
We are unable to save ourselves.

Mayday, this ship is going down.
This storm is unforgiving, I cannot reach dry ground.
This is my last transmission, I wait for a reply,
but my radio is silent, while the vessel groans and cries.
Now the ship is taken far below.
It calls for its captain, but I'm not ready to go.

I am drowning in a sea of names.
Overcome by the towering waves,
but I kick my legs and fight the sea
to keep my head above the water, where I can breathe.

Find me.
I will,
Find you,
In me.

Hi everyone,

Just a bit of news for those who've been out of the loop.  We were given the opportunity this past Thursday to spend a couple of hours down at the Atlanta Art Institute recording some of our new material.  Although we are in the midst of recording the new songs ourselves, we thought this would be a perfect time to lay down some fresh cuts and post them up for your listening pleasure.  We also have some video footage from our little field trip which we'll post in a few days (oh, goody!).  Since it was a spur of the moment endeavor and we were in a rush (we only had about an hour to lay down the tracks and vocals), please excuse the sound quality.  We figured it was best just to throw the songs up and continue focusing on our own recording process.  Sure, we could try mixing it to perfection, but that would just put us behind on finishing the album.  We don't want that now, do we?

Anyhoo,  take a listen and read through the lyrics Jake posted earlier.  This is a sneak peek of what's to come.  The album will be a concept based on time, space, and human nature.  Since you've all been waiting patiently, we're gonna have another song posted within the next couple of days!  So, get The Main Sequence running through your brain for a bit and get ready, because we're gonna take you on a ride for the next tune.  Buckle up...it's gonna get a little shaky.

I stare off into space, quietly contemplating.
Their light has just reached us, but long ago they faded.
Space and time,
these things I cannot fathom, for I have a finite mind.
Though I will never know the size of it all.
I know that I am small, I know that I am small.

The threads of creation, the dawn of time.
From a singularity, the universe unwinds.
Chemical reaction, particles collide.
We are born of stardust, from death comes life.
I know that I know nothing, but I'm completely enthralled.
I know that I am small, I know that I am small.

Bend time black hole.
Our math cannot predict the secrets that you hold.
Great star, burn slow.
You will live for ages, but you will still grow old.
