Hello all Fred here how is everybody doing on this cloudy monday morning??
Soooo I have been putting this off but it's time to come clean and tell you all just what the hell is going on. For quite some time now Team Waterpolo has been fighting to stay afloat. We have had two headline tours of our own playing to pretty much empty venues everynight. This doesn't really bother us because we love playing the music but our record label unfortunatly don't seem to share our enthusiasm. A few weeks ago Sony decided to give our album back to us in other words yep DROP US!!! So we found ourselves in the position of what do we do??  We started building a recording studio in Lex's garage we thought fuck the industry lets just make our own studio so we can record our own shit without loads of stupid moronic industry types fucking with our msuic. We started jamming together,  something we hadn't done in like almost 6 months although Nathan had gone to America and it was just the three of us, it was electric and we started getting song ideas out of the jams, but the music was much darker than TWP more aggresive. It was at this point thant we thought about maybe leaving TWP behind. The studio is now complete and looks fantastic.About a week ago we got an email from Nathan, he has decided to leave the band and move back to America which is where he originally came from all those millions of staryears ago. Nathan went to school with Rugg and myself and we have known each other and played in bands for over 12 years, it was a very very sad day for us but we understand his decision and wish him all the best I know that guy will get far due to his incredible musical talent.

SOOOOOOo where does that leave us Me, Rugg and Lex well first let me tell you the bad news.  This is the official ending of Team Waterpolo,  as one of our members has left we decided TWP is over, we had an amazing two years, easily the greatest experience of my life, if any of you reading this were their at the start ( July 2007) you will know how crazy it all went. It is my personal wish that our album is to be given away for free on the internet , we are so proud of our little album we made and I want people to hear it. I dno how we will do this yet but we will figure out a way. The good news is their is a new musical project that we are working on that already seems to be smashing TWP out of the water we will be leaving alot of our pop mentality behind for this new project , it will be darker grittier and well it's all still top secret. Eventually the new project will be put up in TWPs top friends so keep your eyes peeled. Just so you know we plan to come back with this new project, and of course again world domination is our goal!!  I want to say this and i truly mean it Thankyou from the bottom of my heart to each and everyone one of you who came to watch us play or bought a single, words can't describe how grateful I am to our fans. We may not have been the biggest band ever lol but we did have loyal fans and I love you all. I don't give a toss how corny it sounds.
Apologies for the bad spelling and punctuation I wasn't going to post this blog, and I have just typed this out pretty furiously and not looked back, so it may be a bit sketchy but this is the truth and I'm glad you all know. I will keep checking up on the myspace so feel free to message me, any questions etc I will happily answer.
So from Team Waterpolo we wish you all adieu, may the stars guide you and the fires of Mordorph not burn you to a crisp. I have a feeling we shall all be meeting again sometime soon. Here is to the future

                                THE DIRTY FUTURE!!

Team Waterpolo are delighted to announce that the second single from their debut album will be 'Letting Go'.....

Having toured extensively over the last couple of years, Letting Go has become a firm live favourite.

Although this was the first song Team Waterpolo wrote together in their bedroom, they have since had the opportunity to rework it with producer Dave McCracken (who has also worked with Depeche Mode and Ian Brown)

Letting Go is released August 24th, but to get a sneak preview of the new version check out the player on the Team Waterpolo page!

So we had a great time at Glastonbury, thanks to everyone who came and watched us. The Queens Head gig was great it felt amazing to return higher up on the bill and loaded with album tracks. Saturday we played the Orange Chill And Charge Tent, i was a little dubious about this one as we were playing to a tent full of people charging their mobile phones. I was wrong it turned out to be loads of fun and quite a laugh. We can't wait for The Secret Garden Party, and we have a  new single coming soon to!

eyyyy,
our first single has been released today in the uk, i saw one today in hmv at the trafford centre so i'm not making it up.
we have launched a campaign to get ourselves charted, if we can get say, 50,000 people, to download our track from itunes for 79p then we have a shot and getting our song heard by the masses, which is cool because that means we'll be sticking around for while :)

if our campaign is successful, and enough people download the track to get us charted, then every single person that has downloaded it (and let us know) will receive 'a twp defenders of the universe platinum membership card, toys and more (all signed by the band)' ...we promise we will stick to our part of the agreement. so if you can spare 79p, or persuade your friends to spare 79p, or train your neighbour's rottweilers to use itunes and buy the single, then you can sit back and vibe to our tunes while you wait for our gifts of gratitude to arrive.
help us out in anyway you can, on itunes there is the single along with a cover of you can call me al, two different remixes by some decent dj's, and our first ever video that we recorded at the same studios where they filmed 28 days later.

i will leave you with an open question which is something i pondered on the last part of our tour...
why do they lock the toilets at petrol stations? are they afraid someone will clean them?

keep smiling

Well it's Easter Sunday not much to do so I thought I would share with you some you tube videos that make my day, this first one i recently discovered it's the all time worst freestyle battle. I dno if these guys are being serious but make sure you watch the whole thing especially the second rapper guy sooooo funny!!!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bHpw6CzprNY
This kid is amazing I know their are loads of videos of kids playing Beethoven and insane things on piano but this kid has so much groove! Plus if you like this check out his other videos, he plays a mean Hammond!!  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RMBIihJNsK4
haha what can I say about this guy alot of you may not see the humour in this but being a film buff really makes you appreciate this guy, every two weeks he makes 30 minuite videos just telling you what DVD's he bought, this guy really needs to get out more http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvAOnLccl2c
Afro Ninja im sooo addicted to this video I know everyones seen it but it never gets old http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEtIoGQxqQs
This was done by a mate from filmschool, he ended up directing the Letting Go video, he's called Mike Doxford, anyway this was made for a competition where they had to make a film in 60 seconds, they chose to do American Psyco. Mike plays Bateman, Nyway check this out it should of won in my opinion. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fiZSrPjErYI&feature=channel_page
This next video just watch, this is the best version of it because it's got subtitles. Funniest thing ever  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fCYYPCtHGs&feature=related
Angry German Kid, needs no introduction apparently it was made for a German TV show and it's a kid acting, if that's true that kid is the best actor ever. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBVmfIUR1DA
Well I could go on forever thats enough for this blog. Nyone got any videos they wanna send please do.
