DECEMBER 14, 2009 - LOS ANGELES, CA - Interscope Records artist Street Drum Corps continues to kick off the holiday season with a bang.  The band's Frank Zummo teams with Motley Crue's Tommy Lee as guests on tonight's "Loveline" with Dr. Drew.  Tune into the World Famous 106.7 FM KROQ from 10pm - midnight PST in Los Angeles or listen live online at www.lovelineshow.com.  Zummo and Lee will be co-presenting and performing an epic theatrical big beat driven show called "Bezerk" featuring guest luminaries Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Jose Pasillas (Incubus), Matt Sorum (Velvet Revolver), Abe Cunningham (Deftones), Sully Erna (Godsmack) and others at the Guitar Center Drum-Off Grand Finals in LA on January 8th at Wiltern.....

Street Drum Corps’ was recently part of a special performance with longtime friends and collaborators Thirty Seconds To Mars on the December 10th episode of The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien and performed with the band at Saturday’s KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas show – helping to celebrate the release of Thirty Seconds To Mars' new album This Is War. Bobby Alt and Adam Alt have cameos in "The Ride" - a short film inspired by the track “Kings & Queens," and Shannon Leto guests on Street Drum Corps’ forthcoming album.  Frank Zummo recently sat in on 5 Crue Fest 2 dates for an injured Tommy Lee and was the touring drummer for the Dhani Harrison-fronted band thenewno2’s winter tour.....


Street Drum Corps has been called "Soo good" by the New York Post and declared "A rapturous band of misfit drummers" by the Los Angeles Weekly.  The band is currently featured in Drumhead Magazine and is included in the January 2010 issue of Alternative Press Magazine showcasing “the essential guide to 2010’s best music.”  The band, who is Bobby Alt, Adam Alt and Frank Zummo, is currently prepping to release their major label debut double album in Spring 2010. One forthcoming disc is produced by the band and Jamie Rise and is all-drumming and syncopated rhythms featuring guest drumming greats Tommy Lee (Motley Crue), Adrian Young (No Doubt), Matt Sorum (Velvet Revolver), Brandon Saller (Atreyu) and Shannon Leto (Thirty Seconds To Mars).  The other disc, produced by the band and Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, Papa Roach), is of fully realized rock/pop/punk songs influenced by Adam and the Ants and Siouxsie and the Banshees, with lyrics and orchestration and Bobby Alt on vocals.

Guitar Center announced today that Tommy Lee and the Street Drum Corps’ Frank Zummo will present “Bezerk” – an exclusive project commissioned by Guitar Center, featuring some of today’s top drummers and artists – as part of the upcoming Drum-Off Grand Finals, taking place January 8, 2010 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles.  Artists performing in “Bezerk” include Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Matt Sorum (Guns ‘N Roses, Velvet Revolver), José Pasillas (Incubus), DJ Aero, Sully Erna (Godsmack), Jay Weinberg, BANG! and others to be announced. Hosted by Stephen Perkins (Jane’s Addiction), this historic evening will also include a very special tribute to John Bonham by Jason Bonham, along with an exclusive collaborative performance by Danny Carey (Tool) and Brann Dailor (Mastodon).
 
These all-star drummers will all come together on one stage to celebrate the night’s main event:
 performances by the top five undiscovered drummers in the nation, who will compete in front of a capacity crowd and a panel of celebrity judges to see who will win a prize package worth more than $40,000 and the title of “Guitar Center Drum-Off Champion” – the nation’s top undiscovered drummer. Guitar Center will also induct drum icons Billy Cobham and John Bonham into Guitar Center’s Drum Legends as part of the evening’s festivities.
