Current mood:  froggy
As you may have heard our noticed, our upright bass player, the beloved Chris Powers Jr, has decided to retire from the world of 7 Shot Screamers. After 10 years of service, CPJ will now be focusing his energy into new and different projects, musical or otherwise. The good news, Chris is still willing to write songs with 7 Shot Screamers, so in a sense, he will still be around...
The idea to go ahead with 7 Shot Screamers minus Chris Powers was not an easy choice... But we are blessed to have paired up with an old friend and fellow Saint Louis native, Shane Kiel ( code name: Phyto Planktin). Shane will be taking over upright bass duties with  a 100% thumbs up from CPJ and the rest of the 7 Shot Screamers camp.. You may know Shane from his upright bass work with our close friends, The Two Timin' Four... We welcome Shane "Phyto" Planktin back to Saint Louis, and into the family that is 7 Shot Screamers. We will be hitting the road again with The Horrorpops in May, and doing more local shows in Saint Louis this summer and we can assure you, the new dynamic that Phyto brings to the band will blow your mind! Thanks for your support in this changing of gaurds.. And thanks to Chris Powers Jr for his 10 years of service and all the great times we had with him..

The 7 Shot Screamers have been tearing up the USA since 1998. Chances are they have been in your hometown, played your favorite club and maybe even slept on your couch. With a contstant touring and recording schedule, these rufians men have accomplished feats that other bands only dream of

This band mixes psychobilly and 70's glitter rock with the attitude of street punk. With a unique yet hauntingly classic sound, they have been called the "ultimate rock-n-roll hybrid". Check out the first album "I Was a Teenage 7 Shot Screamer" to hear the dark-yet-fun origins of the band. Then listen to the second album,  "Keep The Flame Alive", out on Haunted Town Records and produced by Levi Dexter (of the Rockats) and Paul Roman (of the Quakes) is a favorite among many psychobilly and punk rock fans across the globe.   Their most recent album "7 SHOT SCREAMERS IN WONDERLAND" on Big Muddy Records is available now at www.bigmuddyrecords.org or through CD baby

In 2005 the band was hired by Exene Cervenka (of legendary LA punk band X) to be her backing band, the Original Sinners. They have since recorded an album with Exene entitled "Sev7en" for Nitro Records that was released in march of 2006 and toured coast to coast, pulling double duty, opening for, and then performing as the Original Sinners with Exene.

HELLLLLLO SCREAMIES!

We have spent the better part of the last year on the road, so chances are we've probably seen you recently! Let me fill you in on what we've been doing and what we are doing now and in the future!

We just got off a 2 month coast to coast tour that we did with Exene Cervenka from X. Now, what makes this tour special is that not only were we opening for Exene, but after our set, Deano, Kevin and Chris would stay on stage and perform as Exene's back up band, The Original Sinners. Also, we have recorded an album with Exene that is now out on Nitro Records entitled "Sev7en" (available at www.nitrorecords.com). Check it out and hear our boys get far out with the Queen of punk rock!

Now we are back in our lovely town of Saint Louis. We have been in the studio working on our newest full length album that will be coming out THIS SUMMER on a new Saint Louis based label called BIG MUDDY RECORDS (www.myspace.com/bigmuddyrecords). Also, look for us touring on on the east coast this August/September with pyschobilly legends THE QUAKES!
