Aloha everyone,
Due to rigorous touring, everyone in the band got a little burnt, so we're gonna take a little break from Hell Camino shows and touring. In the meantime, a couple of us are playing in other bands. Take a look at our new projects:
Michael Camino's new project: The A.K.A.s www.myspace.com/theakas
Nick Danger's new project: Left Alone www.myspace.com/leftalonepunx
both bands will be playing the warped tour this year so check them out.
Handsome Jack is still chillin in hawaii with his new band CITY (ex-at sea). they are an awesome band and if you live in honolulu, they are a must see band.
I'm never gonna say that The Hell Caminos are done as a band. We all love this band too much to see it go away. We just wanna focus on other outlets right now. Thanks to everyone who supported us the last 5 years and gave us encouragement to always try to take the band to the next level. we love you all.
xoxo Michael Camino

I'm not alone when i say this, but everyone has been friendly and helpful as all fuck since we've been here. Dan-O and Sidetrack Sally, the promoters in spokane have been great hosts. we couldnt have asked for a better first show. All the bands we're great and we got to see familiar faces from hawaii. Tonight we will be rocking Seattle and Bremerton. Hope to see you kids there.

Cold! the one word i use to describe the northwest. the drive was unbelievable. people always tell us hawaii is paradise but driving through the mountains tipped with snow was paradise to me. everyone arrived to seattle safe and sound. our friend tanya is helping out with merch. jack and nick have already started cuddling in the back of the van. ah, three weeks of trouble. should be fun. mooney from los gatos locos has already saved our asses more than once. big ups to the seattle psychos.

So, I'm not sure if its the fact that people actually enjoy our music or if we have loyal fans who have called in requesting our music, but our album made it to the number one spot on KTUH, the college radio station out here. Maybe there is still hope for us and our music on this island of reggae. Thanks to whoever requested our shit and to the DJ's who liked our music enough to spin it. check out KTUH online at: www.ktuh.org and listen on the radio at: 90.3 Honolulu 91.3 North Shore 89.9 Windward and by all means, keep on requesting local music. I went to Anna Bananna's last night to check out the punk show with headliners Fearless Vampire Killers. I got there just as Crackskull took the stage. They only played two songs before they left the stage. The crowd was confused and we shouted for them to stay, but like a good first date, they left us wanting more.
There were a lot of good t-shirts at the show stating political slogans like "Bring our troops home" and "No ice in paradise", but my personal favorite was "WWJD - for a klondike bar". And let's hear it for all the hot women with tattoos! They were swarming and I was swooning.
The Enhancements came on next, and I just gotta say - to all you punk drummers out there, I bow down to you. The bassist's t-shirt simply stated "Bong" as he sang into the big doobie microphone. I think these guys musta been drinking red bull and vodka, because they busted out their first song with tons of energy and kept it going. They had some sweet bass and guitar solos that made me want to scream and jump up and down even more.
The Hell Caminos were next. I loved these guys. I have never seen an upright bass get manhandled in that way before. That thing was flying everywhere as the bassist spun it over his head and jumped on and off the stage. They seemed to mix rockabilly and punk and presley and surf, occasionally reminding me of this indie movie I once saw called Six String Samurai. By the time they finished playing, people were on the floor and beer was dripping from the rafters.
And finally, it was the Fearless Vampire Killers. The lead singer got on stage and started to stretch. I mean, this dude nearly did a split then jogged in place a little and shook himself out. I knew this was gonna be good. I think it was on the second note of the first song that the entirety of Anna's erupted into one huge mosh pit. I stood oh so bravely behind the really big guys lining the edge. Now, deep inside, I may not really understand the whole concept of moshing, but it's hella fun to watch. And FVK knew how to get it going and gave the crowd what it wanted.
Thanks for tearing up Anna's last night, boys!
