Here's the tracklist for Cut the Shit, which you can order by sending a message to this here myspace page or to thebangup@hotmail.com.  We could line up some sort of Paypal thing.  I don't know how that stuff works yet.  You could show me.  These are only going to cost 2 bucks, so its no biggie:

1.  Sunlight
2.  Waiting
3.  Culture
4.  Planet A
5.  Sexual Needs
6.  Benefits of Being (alternate version)
7.  Untitled (Live)
8.  Caterwauling (Live)
9.  Pablo Picasso (Modern Lovers cover)
10. No. 1 Radio Hit (Minutemen cover)
11. Sonic Reducer (Dead Boys cover)

The first 4 were recorded with Jack Hughey and are what would have been on the 7" that never happened.  The next two were recorded early in the band's existence and originally scrapped, but we listened to them again and decided they shouldn't have been.  The live tracks are from a show at The Boro in December 2005.  The Modern Lovers song is all Rick and Lin, and the last two were recorded when we did the first EP.  There's also a video of us playing Goodbye, Goodbye at the last Firestorm show that you can watch on your computer.  The overall quality of it in every aspect is rather spotty, so whatever player you use you'll probably have to adjust the settings to be able to see it.  You won't be able to fix our performance.

I just realized that it would have been cool to get our Fo' Show TV performance on there, but I've never actually seen it.  Perhaps I'll get that on later versions of this CD.  Thataway you have to buy it twice.

Thanks big time,

The Bang Up

Its going to be on April 28th, and its going to be at The Evergreen (620 Greenland Dr. Murfreesboro, TN), and its going to be with How I Became the Bomb, and we're going to have CD's that have audio of us doing stuff, and we're going to have the "Singing in the Choir" compilation that also has audio of us doing stuff and How I Became the Bomb doing stuff and Velcro Stars, A Poet Named Revolver, Ghostinger, Kelly Kerr, The Roosevelts doing the stuff that they do and other bands that I can't remember but also are on the cd doing stuff. Me not remembering which other bands are also on it doesn't mean that I don't like that stuff. I think Maniac Mcgee is one of them, and I like them/him. That EP of his is pretty dope. You dig?

The Bang Up is breaking up.  We haven't booked our last show yet, but it will coincide with the release of a 7 inch that will include 4 songs that we almost finished recording.  The record will also come with CD-Rs with the same songs and some other odds and ends stuff that was recorded but never included on anything.  Ever wanted to hear Lin sing "Pablo Picasso"?  Well, we'll put it on there.  What do we care, we're not going to be a band anymore.

Thanks to everyone all the time.

Tonight we start work on the new EP, which has no working title and no definitive release date.  Most of the songs don't even have titles yet.  We hope to have it finished and ready to release in January.  Anyone want to do that for us?  The releasing part?

The EP is available in Murfreesboro, TN at both Cat's Music and Hastings, and is available in Nashville at Grimey's.  You can also order it at www.instanthaiku.com, along with releases by some of our favorite bands.  Of course, CD's are still available at shows for the special low-price of dirt cheap.  Hopefully we'll have some new recordings done by the end of November and some sort of release early in the new year.
