Thank god for with fi... So we're the busiest band in the world right now...but I'm very proud to announce that we have indeed begun production on a new recording, "Snake Eat Snake". The record will feature at least six new songs and I truly believe it will surprise everyone who hears it. We have grown a lot as a band and are more excited than ever at the chance to share our music with you. Meanwhile thanks to everyone who came out to cine last week. Your support is vital to us. Ladies and gentlemen, a new year is upon us and like always Beatrix Kiddo has lots of plans. We will be doing a short tour soon, in addition we are recording our new ep in February. Be on the look out for more news and info via bulletins. Or just go to a show and get all your Beatrix Kiddo needs fulfilled there. Happy New Years!

It's a damn shame because we recorded this ep around two months ago, but it's finally been posted online in its full length. Stream it directly from our myspace page and enjoy.

So....okay, here it goes.

First of all, I think I can speak for every member of this band when I say that Friday night, we'll all be glued to the big screen for The Dark Knight.  And if you aren't, then this probably isn't your favorite blog anyways. 

In a funny coordination with the new movie, Beatrix Kiddo will be hitting the studio for the second time this weekend to record our first actual ep, entitled "A Serious House On Serious Earth".  We have have not only written a few new songs in the past few months, but also acquired the vocal talents of Josh Jordan, and had several occasions where we were able to play our new material in front of a crowd.  The feedback has been tremendous and those of you who have had the patience to put up with us this first year deserve a massive round of applause.  We've been seeing a few more faces at shows, and it is truly a great feeling when things start to pick up.

That said, we are prepared, ready and willing, to deliver the finest record we can.  Thanks to our friends and peers, we have access to several guitars, recording devices, mics, etc, all of which will be put to great use.  We have spent the past two months refining song selection and nailing down harmonies, secondary guitar arrangements, and lyrics.  We are all extremely proud of the result.  So, without further adeu, here's some details:

Wow, a lot has happened in the past few months, especially for a few newcomers like ourselves.  Thanks a bundle to all the cats who have come out to see beatrix live and in full force.  We ain't nuthin but geeks with guitars without you guys.

So, here's the plan...in case you haven't noticed, we got several shows coming right up your alley in the weeks to come so, be on the lookout and keep checkin' the myspace.  We also have some pretty solid plans regarding some new material, including vocal tracks, that should be finished by the spring.  It's going to be a pretty eventful summer, folks, so keep tuning in.
