I just so happened to find the very rare (like only 20 on the whole planet) 1969 Moletron in Lane Windbird's bushes !!!!

But just as I was going to escape, Rossangeles bought it back from me to have restored...

But in all reality, I got to visit the Moletron @ Ross Harris's house while recording tracks for our new album "MOOGSAIC" ... Ross laid down some space, as well as guitar tracks. We are SUPER HONORED to have ROSS on the record...

More exciting MOOGSAIC News coming soon....

NAMM WAS AMAZING !

We'd like to thank Moog Music for having us there for the second year in a row! All of the Moog Staff and Musicians involved this year were an amazing group of people! Special thanks to Mike Adams, Jared White, Linda Pritchard, Cyril Lance (The Moog staff) and Pamelia Kurstin (world's best Thereminist and extremely cool chick), Eric Frampton (AMAZING keyboardist and super cool guy - plays with Paul Simon, B52s !), Eri (great Thereminist from Japan and sucha sweetie), Eric Levy ( Funky Keys player from Garaj Mahal), and Don Preston (brought all the funk to Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention) !!! It was such an honor to be there performing on the same stage with such virtuosos !! We love you guys.. It was also a very special week because we got to spend so much of it with Michelle Moog-Koussa, Bob's daughter... She is running the Bob Moog Foundation and is such a great person. BTW If you want to make waves by contributing to Bob Moog's legacy visit http://www.bobmoogfoundation.com

Anna and I also got to meet two of our biggest influences for the first time. Roger Manning Jr (Beck, Air, Moog Cookbook, Jellyfish) whom we have wanted to meet for a long time and of course STEVIE WONDER (!!!!!!!!!!) whom we thought we'd never have the chance to meet! We also met alot of cool new folks that we will surely keep in touch with... Like Joe Buzzelli, Michell Sigman and many more cool folks!!

I  had a ton of fun performing with Anna (as The VPOs of course) and getting to demo the new Moogerfooger MF 107 FREQ BOX !!! I became quite the expert demo guy, that pedal is amazing!!! (It's an Audio Modulated VCO that can make any incoming audio signal sound just like your favorite vintage Moog patch! Plus it is all ANALOG ! MUAHAHA)

Of course it is also fun to be writing for Keyboard magazine now, so running around and finding new analog stuff was cool... Look for my reviews in the NAMM report issue of Keyboard Magazine due out this spring (MARCH Isuue)

Current mood:  creative

Nick is very happy about the fact that Moog Music inc has incorporated Nick's idea into the latest update (ver.3.2) for the Minimoog Voyager.

Nick wanted to see a pixelated portrait of Bob Moog (on the Voyager boot screen) and Rudi came through...

The update is now available @ www.moogmusic.com

Nick was also a contributing musician in the design of Moog Music's latest creation, The Moog Little Phatty..

HeyMoogers -

The Moog Benefit @ The Velvet Jones in Santa Barbara was a great success. I would like to start by thanking Moog Music Inc. for sponsoring this event by donating a Moogerfooger Low Pass Filter Pedal for the grand prize in our raffle. The grand prize was awarded to Dan "The Man" Edman, of Lompoc, Ca. Word is, he is making that 20 dollar Casio sound like a crazy Moog machine. Right on and congrats Dan !

I couldn't have put this together with out the help of Keyboard Magazine's very talented technical editor (and keyboard master) Steve Fortner. Thanks so much Steve.

Also to the performers that were willing to to donate their time and genius to such a great cause. Brian Kehew (Air, Moog Cookbook, Fiona Apple), Hans Fjellestad (Director of Moog Documentary), David ScottStone and Joey Karem (The Locust), and Robbie Gennet (Keyboard Magazine).. You guys rocked !

Also a big thanks to Matt Kettman ofthe Santa Barbara Independent for an awesome review !
