Hey,
So many of you will by now have heard my EP, Nitwit! Blubber! Oddment! Tweak! (if you haven't heard it yet - fear not it's still available via the Wizard Rock EP of the Month Club!) As I was saying, if you have listened to it all the way through, you'll know that at the end there is an 'epilogue'... - that is to say there's an extra track. Well this song has some piano in it, and I thought I'd share this music with you now, so any people out there who play the piano and are interested can have a go for themselves. There are two files:
An intro: View Intro on GoogleDocs
And an epilogue: View Epilogue on GoggleDocs
If you haven't got a google account but still want to download the pdf files then there are two sendspace links here (the download link is at the bottom of the page under all the adverts): http://www.sendspace.com/file/8k2mvs http://www.sendspace.com/file/76q08v
Enjoy :)

Hey :)
I just suddenly realised that I hadn't actually
officially announced the title for the upcoming EP, and since it's going to be
shipped out to people within a month or two, then I thought I might as
well tell you. The title of peeved's debut ep will be!!!! - Nitwit! Blubber! Oddment! Tweak!
(ok... maybe the fact that that is the title of this bolg post took some of the mystery out of that 'big announcement' but I do like to at least try and build up the suspense....)
I also thought I'd share with you some pictures from a few weeks back when I tried to do some recording but didn't have a mic stand with me. I used my initiative though and by simply making a hole in this old cardboard box managed a perfectly adequate mic-stand substitute:

Whilst this set up did work quite wonderfully, the main draw back was that it was quite limited in it's flexibility - that is to say, it had absolutely no flexibility.... And so I did manage to get my old mic stand for the rest of the recordings.
Speaking of recordings, if you aren't on YouTube then you may not have seen this little vlog I made a few weeks ago:
And (as I'm sure you are by now aware) the ep is being released by the Wizard Rock EP of the Month Club (and you can click for more info).

Hey,
Voting has now officially opened for the wizrocklopedia's Wizard Rock People’s Choice Awards, and peeved has been nominated in a few categories!
I'd like to thank everyone who voted to nominate me, it's so cool just to see the name 'peeved' alongside loads of really great bands that I admire.
I will admit however that once it sunk in, it was kind of disappointing to realise that any chances of winning, when placed in comparison to these 'great bands' is greatly deminished....
Anyway, just so you know, here are the categories peeved has been nominated in:
Best Kept Secret Award
Best Music Video - Save Ginny Weasley I really had no idea this was even eligible :S
Best Comedy Song - "The Year Harry Went Emo" Available on the MySpace player and for sale on itunes here:

Best Punk Song - "The Year Harry Went Emo" well... they didn't have an 'emo' category so...
Best Remixed Song - "Ode to Voldemort (peeved remix)" by Riddle™ If any of you didn't get a chance to get this song when we first released it over a year ago, then here's a sendspace link for a free download. (link is at the bottom of the page) http://www.sendspace.com/file/mmmwe4
International AwardI'm from Wales you see...
You can vote by clicking this link here! And no matter who you vote for, thanks once again for the nominations :)
Byeeee,
Jack PEEVED

Hey everybody,
Here's the first Wizard Rock EP of the month Club Newsletter! Check it out:
Hello Witches and Wizards and Magical Creatures!
Welcome to another year of the Wizard Rock EP of the Month Club! We are thrilled about the upcoming year and we know you are too. If you haven’t heard, this year’s club will benefit the Harry Potter Alliance, an organization that prides itself on being a Dumbledore’s Army for the real world. Last year’s EP Club has already raised over $15,000 for the HPA and First Book, and this year we are expecting similar results. But we need your help! If you love wizard rock as much as we do, and if you love making a difference in the world around you, you can satisfy both of these worthy priorities by subscribing to the EP Club today! We’re limiting the club to 750 subscriptions this year, so these puppies won’t last forever! Puppies!!

The first batch of EPs are being pressed right now and will be heading out to subscribers before the end of April, so get in on the action now!
If you need further convincing, let’s hear from some of the bands who will be wizard rocking for charity this year! _________________________________________________________
From Milo of Mary and the GrandPres:
Wizard rock saved my life.
Emma Watson picture texted me the other day an image of herself playing ukulele and I was never happier.
The Whomping Willow is a volcano; When I was in 4th grade I went to get the first three harry potter books autographed (they were the only ones out) and JK told me she liked the shirt I was wearing. It was black and had a small skeleton on the chest. It was from old navy and also had a hole in the arm pit.
Also myspace is a jungle!
Also I think that Wizard Rock shouldn't contain swear words.
JK Rowling taught me how to read in a way that alphabets and my teachers couldn't.
One time when I was approx. 7 years of age I was like "hey big brother play capture the flag with us" and he was like "not now squirt I'm reading" and I was like "are you a dork?" and he was like "This book is SO AWESOME" and it was harry potter 1.
This other time dumbledore died and I cried my eyes out.
What if harry ACTUALLY HAD his mother's ACTUAL EYE BALLS i.e. what if snape or someone performed an eye transplant upon lily's death.
Is art useless if it is not political? Is art reduced to propaganda if it is political?
Mary and the GrandPres are post-wizard rock... whatever that means
I work as a waiter and this bus boy at my restaurant is 13 and he was like "I really hate reading" and I was like "harry potter?" and he was like "nope" and I hit him. This girl in my lit class was like "harry potter is for babies" and I was about to ask her out and then I didn't.
viva weasley!
I am in a band called Mary and the Grandpres and none of our songs are about Mary GrandpreNone of them are from the perspective of Mary Grandpre, i.e. none of them are about illustrating
People talk about the power of love, i.e. the weapon we have is love, i.e. love conquers hate/love conquers death, that is intoxicating but I don't know what love isI have no clue what love is. Also did we steal this from hippies? Is this a new idea at all?
Ron Weasley >>>>>> Ron Reagan TAKE A LOOK ITS IN A BOOK - reading rainbow I neeeeeeed emma's phone #. abcdefghijk rowling! make art and be happy. _________________________________________________________
From Jack of Peeved:
Hey!! I'm super excited to be releasing an EP with this year's wizard rock club. You know when I first got in to wizard rock, the 2007 ep of the month club was actually the first wrock CDs I bought, and was definitely one of the major things that encouraged me to make my own music.
So yea, I'm really thrilled to get the chance to be a part of this, and not just because of all the great bands involved, or because it raises thousands of pounds for charity, but also because I'm pretty lazy, and this is a great way for me get out of having to do CD artwork and postage and all the stuff I'm really quite terrible at... :)
Anyway, hope you're all looking forward to getting all these EPs as much as I am! _________________________________________________________
From Steph of Tonks and the Aurors:
Our EP for the EP of the Month Club has been an awesome experience to work on. While starting to write the EP, I decided I wanted to write from very specific years in Tonks' life, which lead me to making a pretty intricate timeline of what I thought life from starting at Hogwarts to the Battle of Hogwarts looked like for Tonks. The songs I ended up writing come from 5 specific years. 1984 is the year that Tonks started her schooling at Hogwarts. 1991 finds Tonks a Hogwarts graduate, and contemplating her current relationship. 1993 put her in the middle of her Auror training under Mad-Eye Moody. 1995 brings the Order of the Phoenix, and restlessness that is driving her crazy. Finally, 1998 culminates in a year of firsts and lasts for Tonks and her new family. In my opinion, this concept album features some of the most well-crafted songs that has come out of Tonks & the Aurors, and I'm extremely excited for the EP Club Subscribers to hear it soon. _________________________________________________________
Stay tuned for another exciting edition of the EP Club newsletter! In the mean time, keep your stick on the ice and don’t stop believin’!
Your pal, Matt Maggiacomo The Whomping Willows

Well, it was taking me forever to get an album together, but now I can announce that finally.... it's going to happen. Introducing:2009 Wizard Rock EP of the Month Club!!! Featuring exclusive EPs from old and new friends such as: Harry and the Pottersthe Whomping Willowsthe Moaning MyrtlesTonks and the AurorsPeevedSwish and FlickMary and the GrandPresDanny DementorRiddleTMMC KreacherShrieking Shack Disco Gangand one awesome surprise EP!! This year, we are limiting the club to 750 subscriptions. The price of subscriptions is $60 for US and Canada, and $75 for all foreign countries. Subscribe now! Yes indeed! I'm happy to say that Peeved will be releasing an EP through the Wizard Rock EP of the Month Club. It might seem like a lot of money to subscribe, but considering how much great music you get for that one payment (12 CDs - that's $5 each! ) it's actually a real bargain. On top of that all profits made are going to the Harry Potter Alliance. It's a great way to get great music. In 2007, the EP club subscription was actually the very first wrock CD(s) I bought when I first found out about wizard rock myself, and I feel really honored to be a part of it now. If you still need some convincing then head over to the www.wizardrockclub.com for more info, on how it works, but there are fewer subscriptions available this year so if you don't want to miss out then you really shouldn't leave it too long. Hope you're all as excited about this as I am! :) Jack PEEVED

So I thought to myself one day:
"Let's forget about all this 'plinky-plonky Percy Weasley style piano music' and try and come up with an idea that would work as a good rock/pop song". And since Harry did get rather emo in book 5, it was quite obvious really that it would be best to present that through the medium of 'emo'.
This track is featured exclusively on the 'Siriusly Smiling' Charity compilation CD which features comedy songs from loads of other great bands, and all profits are going to the National Foundation for Facial Reconstruction. It's only available for download and you can find it on itunes by clicking here:

Hope you guys like the track and please do buy a copy and support this good cause.
Jack
::::::::: EDIT :::::::::
Lyrics:
The Year Harry Went Emo
VERSE 1 Summer, hot and long, on a parched-grass lawn, a boy all forlorn sits alone.
He needs some Weasly pranks, to relieve his wizard angst. But all he's got are CDs by My Chemical Romance
BRIDGE 1 This year's going pretty crap, so it must be the year that,
CHORUS 1 he cries, cos Cedric Diggory's dead, he cries, when he takes a bludger to the head, he cries, cos Hermione's too well read, yea he cries.
The boy who lived now in year 5 gets called the boy who lied, but he's just the boy who cried, cos this is the year, that Harry went emo.
VERSE 2 A dementor attack, and his cousins fat, some old woman with a cat their only saviour.
He misses Sirius Black, and Michael Gambon's crap, yea this is definitely the year for wizard angst.
BRIDGE 2 the year for wizard angst.
CHORUS 2 he cries, now Dumbledore is gone. he cries, everything looks so wrong, he cries, worse than Dobby in Ron's thong... ... well maybe not that bad.
Everyone he loves just dies, on every date his girlfriend cries, it should come as no surprise, that this is the year that Harry went emo.
BREAK He can't get Voldemort out of his head He can't get Cho Chang in his bed The prophet tells everyone he says lies but still, Snape seems to like his eyes...??! Snape really, really seems to like his eyes, (it's kinda weird) how Snape really likes his eyes...
CHORUS 3 He cries, cos Cedric Diggory's dead, he cries, when he takes a bludger to the head, he cries, can't get Cho Chang in his bed, yea he cries.
Hopefully by book six he'll be able to resist the urge to cut his wrists
cos this is the year, it's just for this year, thank God it's only one year... that harry went emo.

So as we approach that special time of year once more, it can only mean one thing... - Cheesy Christmas Songs! "But wait!" I head you cry, "where might I find such festive, musical delights??" Why on The Leaky Cauldron's new Christmas compilation album- Jingle Spells 2! Following the success of last years album, Leaky have once again organised this charity compilation, featuring loads of your favourite wizard rock bands as well as an exclusive new track from Peeved – a 'Percy-style' number entitled "A Ministry-Approved Christmas." Head on over to this page to find out more about it, have a listen to extracts from each of the songs, and place your order. There are only a limited number of CDs available, so order early to make sure you get one. The album will also be released on iTunes later on in December, and all profits from CD and download sales will go to Book Aid International. So it's great music, and for a good cause, so do go check it out; and (it might be a bit early for this, but I'm going to say it anyway - ) Merry Christmas! Jack PEEVED
