Back in my homeland of Australia after an epic journey that began with a farewell to London, my adopted city and a place which has given me so many wonderful memories and led me through the northern port city of Hamburg to the the deep south of Italy. Along the way I met old friends, new friends and fellow artists finding new ways to express themselves. Mine has always been in my songwriting.  You can hear it on my new EP coming very soon.

With songwriting not very high on the agenda lately, ironically, inspiration seems to be greater than ever!  And the lure of working again with Andy Black far too great to resist.

Taking less than a week to record, my new single 'When The Sun Goes Down' is a simple tune that in the studio just seemed to work.

So I'm in the middle of a two week spell with no gigs.   After a chaotic few months after christmas it's a welcome break and has given me the opportunity to write a few new tunes.  I'll be sure to play them at the Albany on the 11th of April where I'll be supporting Bobby Long. Tickets can be purchased at the door (open 7.30pm) Get down early because it will fill up very quickly!

I'm also playing at Tommy Flynns on the 23rd of April which is the eve of Camden Crawl. It would be great to see you down there!

After months of delay I've decided to start this with an update on my debut album Perfect Silence.  The studio work is done having finallly finished 'The Sign' -a song which production wise has metamorphasized from 80's anthem to stripped down 12 string acoustic and now back to melodic guitar rock!
So with the media for the cd happening now, the release date looks like being Monday Feb 23!

The album chronicles a 3 year journey having written parts in Rome, Melbourne and London. As my life has changed so to my songwriting, which is particularly evident  in the mood of the album. The nine tracks progress from bitter reflection to melodramatic ballad and finally to a dynamic potency evident in  Fire, Perfect Silence and The Sign.
With radio time of my single Perect Silence already on two internet stations aiiradio and phoenix radio I'm quietly optimistic about 2009!
Finally gigs are aplenty over the next few weeks with the 2nd of March penciled in at the famous 'Bedford', South London.
