but listen all - i'm currently at University of Victoria, working very hard to finish my degree!  bustin' my ass, and music takes the back burner.
i'm still playing shows here, in victoria that is.  it's hard for me to slip away what with working and full-time school.  i may be playing a bit with Ultraklystron for his set on Dec. 29th in Seattle Wa - please look for me there if you're there too!

no new tracks to post - there's new stuff and vox recorded, but i am loathe to leak anything that isn't mastered.  you can be assured that i'm putting music as a priority once school is finished.  karl olson and i will be working together, and you may see some more stuff by Spellah too, on the mastering side of things if we can work that out between our schedules.

school life is poor and studious, but i'm working on huge comic book panels as my grad year project. it's fucking nerdy as shit, and the profs are fairly cool with it.  in fact, i may just rap for my year end grad show exhibition.  it should really melt the faces of any pretentious artschoolies lurking in the vicinity!

 in any case, keep checking back here because i'll be throwing something new up within the next few weeks. i'm aiming to make this year the one that i keep real web maintanence and presence - so i've made a goal to rotate 1 new track on here every 2 months or so, to keep things fresh and get more feedback!!! keeps ya motivated, it does.  ...over the last half of '08, i feel like i've been juggling 4 or 5 tracks that are complete in concept, written lyrics, and their word-to-melody flow. so where the fuck are they?!!  (you and me -both- ask. heh.).. well, i'm lazy and a perfectionist; a procrastinator and overly talented; adhd and easily distractable... but mostly lazy.  yeah fuck it, i love being lazy - don't you?  not an excuse, but pretty damn honest - and honestly, i'm hellbent on this year being about kicking out the jams before i kick back to relax.  gotta make the most of it before school starts this fall, so stick with me peeps!  i read and appreciate all of your messages and comments, they really do make a difference to me and my determination.

been working on 3 new songs - lol.  it's been painstaking, but after a year of fucking around i finally made some progress with my doc towards getting medication for adult adhd.  things look promising for you out there who want more product from the princess - my sinapses should be working correctly soon.  remember, as jennifer herrema from royal trux says: "the best high is a government high".  words to live and die by, friends.

so also, with this hiatus from music to take census of my physical and mental health (also including loafing, playing videogames, living in montreal for a brief stint and gaining a better appreciation for the west coast) it's become pretty clear that i love starting a variety of new things, but rarely have the motivation to follow it through,(which is why i'm hoping the new approach to this adhd thing pans out). for instance, four years ago i dropped out of university about a week before my final exams.  to me it's less troublin to quit school than to quit trying for a musical career- only irks me mildly, but to put it bluntly my dropped-outedness gives my family regular conniptions.  i've been haggling it out with them to put some money where it counts and get my tuition debt paid off (what, you expect -me- to do it? pah!) and i'll see them in silks and tassels in 2009.  going back to UVic might be hard on my pride, but with a little salt you can swallow anything?  ain't that the truth?


lemme know what y'all think - and if i should keep blogging/making music. sometimes videogames get the best of me and i find it hard to get off them and on to more productive things (like recording and keeping in touch with the online world)... i mean christ kids, listen - i fucking gave up my xmas wii that my awesome mom bought for me because i'm so determined to continue doing music and going back to school... I GAVE UP MY XMAS WII for fucks sake!!!!! holy shit, i mean, that's like a junkhead throwing out some grade a mexican brown sugar! i was like "take it back! you tempt me vile and most coveted of hobbies!"  leave me to my nintendo ds for godssake.  it's my methodone, and i'm sticking to it until prove i can handle the hard stuff of a full sized console without fully ignoring the world and myself.
