Hope you all had a happy Xmas and a very merry New Year.

We've just about recovered here at Pure Filth and have our sights set on what looks set to be a fiendishly good year

The next few events especially promise to be large, loud and very very filthy!

First off a reminder to you all that you can join us daubing filth over some UV hippies this coming Saturday (12th Jan) as Pure Filth play host to some back room shenanigans at Psycle

Joining us for an extra dose of mayhem will be our good friend & local hero Tinitus

Saturday 2nd February sees us inviting back the one and only Jerome Hill

An absolute genius, he is without doubt, the only DJ I know able to put two randomly selected records together, from any genre and make it sound like techno

Anyone who has been party to his unique style before will know this is one night not to be missed under any circumstances!

Joining him in support will be UDS/Lobotomy maestro Nicholas Lowenstein for some more crazyness on the wheels of steel

In both the SubLogik & Manifesto rooms we are very pleased to welcome the presence of Rave Trent DJ's Arcane & Tricky1 (B2B) and DJ Muse

Doors: 10pm - 3am Tax: £6otd

And Finally...

Saturday 1st March sees us make a triumphant return to The Marcus Garvey Ballroom for an extra special alnight extravaganza!

In association with Red Seal & Infamous Player Records, Pure Filth is proud to present an exclusive night of

..:NAMESPACE PREFIX = O />

Cold Dust

(Player/Red Seal/ Core)

with special guest

Ignition Technician (Live!)

Plus

The Resident Filth:

See you there!

Sunday, December 09, 2007

A fortnight ago Phil was found unconscious in his flat and rushed to hospital

He remained unconscious for a few days and then appeared to be recovering

Unfortunately he suffered a massive stroke late Thurday night from which he was unable to recover and he died peacefully, with friends and familly by his side, at 10:12am on Friday 7th December

Words cannot express the loss that must be felt by his loved ones and our hearts go out to them

It was an absolute pleasure to have his company when he played at Filth in March 2003.

A true gent with a big heart who will be sorely missed

R.I.P. Phil Wells (1955-2007)

Check out the new recordings added to our player (you can download them from our eSnips folder by clicking the button below it)

Some classics in there not least JE:5s awesome live set from way back in the day (written for the night and on borrowed kit - never to be repeated)

And now a request for help!

We have over the years tried our best to capture the nights (with sometimes limited success) and then offer them as a download from our site.

Unfortunately many things have occurred (not least Doms laptop being stolen) leaving us without backup files for many of them

Since eSnips kindly give us 5GB of space we can both download & stream from we are trying to find as many recordings of the night as possible

If you have any saved anywhere please let us know so we can get them up there for people to hear

Cheers

Pure Filth
