So yeah, "Slighter Awake" hopefully (knocks on wood) will be available for our CD release party on Friday Nov. 10th at Local 506. We will also be celebrating the release of "Teenage Horses" the debut album by Audubon Park. The plan is to charge 10 bucks at the door ("Who are you guys? Califone?) For that ten dollars, you'll get to witness live perfomances by Pleasant, Erie Choir and Audubon Park as well sets by renowed turntablist DJ Viva .("Sounds good.") But wait, there's more. ("Really?") Everyone who pays will also receive, at no additional charge a copy of both albums, "Slighter Awake" and "Teenage Horse". ("No shit?") Yes shit.

Happy Holidays,
As part of the vast conspiracy fighting a war on Christmas, I along with a bunch of other local musicians will be playing an Acoustic Christmas show at the Local 506 this Friday, December 23rd.
The lineup includes
Seamus & Matt (SNMNMNM)
Roberto & Diane (New Town Drunks)
Eric Roehrig (Erie Choir)
Sara Bell (Regina Hexaphone)
Kirk Ross (Lud)
Shannon O'Connor
Michael & Marc (Snatches of Pink)
Jane Francis (Velvet)
Josh Nowlan (Cities)
The show starts at 9pm and I'm scheduled to go on roughly at 10:45 or 11pm. I'm planning on playing various songs that may or may not have the word Christmas in the title or other more dubious connection to the season, by folks like Harry Nilsson and John Cale among others. So please, come be merry. And remember to look out for my friends the Wusses, the Hackey Sack Crew and Gerty at the 506 on New Year's Eve.

Hey Y'all,
It's time again for another cover-up at Kings in Raleigh.
THE SEVENTH ANNUAL GREAT COVER UP! Doors at 9. Your favorite (only the best, of course) local bands transform themselves into THEIR favorite bands for an evening, and play a short set in character. As much fun as you can have in a rock club. Past years have seen performances honoring Tom Petty, Devo, The Who, X, Danzig, Pink Floyd, the Rolling Stones, Thin Lizzy, Lynard Skynard, Black Sabbath...you get the picture. Proceeds to benefit InterAct and the Wake County Literacy Council.
The Wusses play Friday Dec. 2. Last year we did The Little River Band, come see what we have planned for this year.

Hey Everybody,
Erie Choir will be playing this Saturday, Nov. 12th to celebrate the release of COMPULATION VOLUME TWO: SONGS FROM NORTH CAROLINA from Pox World Empire. For 8 dollars you not only get admission to the Local 506 to see The Moaners, Finks, Erie Choir, Summer Set, and Fashion Design, but you’ll also receive your own copy of the above mentioned CD. All the bands playing have contributed a track to the CD which also features Work Clothes, Evil Weiner, Shark Quest, Audubon Park, Kingsbury Manx and many more*. Or tune is called “Everybody Knows” and was recorded by Chris Rossi at Spacelab Studios.
Team Magowan will be delinquent, so we’ll let Biggs leave the drums at home and showcase his multi-instrumental skills, while Bob lays it down, sweetly as always
Thanks,
Eric
