Hiya Peyote Heads!!

I can't keep it to myself any longer. Some of my favourite artists are doing a remix of my tune 'Cuckoo', which will hopefully appear as an EP before the album early this year.

To repeat;
Minotaur Shock!!.....Dextro!!!!......and...... James Yuill!!!!!!

I am a very lucky fellow indeed.

I will keep you posted as and when.

Take care Floppy Joe

Well Humour Tumours, Iceland is even more magical and unique than I could ever have dreamt.

It had been over a decade since the yearning to visit the little volcanic pearl had taken hold and finally, it happened.
The landscape, history, folklore, music, people and culture is spell-binding in every way.

I managed to source a couple of venues to play once the live stuff is up together, perhaps a few DJing jaunts might happen in the meantime. I made sure the two main independent record shops 12 Tonar and Bad Taste were fully stocked with Zoon vinyl-thank you guys!!

Perhaps the highlight (although there were too many to mention here), was the Múm show at Iðnó on the Friday night. It was one of the best gigs I've ever been to (it will hover around the top 3, changing intermittently).

What topped it off was meeting and talking to Jónsi of Sigur Ros, who are also a very special band to me. I was tripping over my words like some syntactical cripple in a three legged race. He was very kind and we discussed his new solo material, which is fucking ace by the way!!

I'm most excited about the 40+ field recordings that I made which will form the basis of an EP or perhaps LP of songs for, about and inspired by Ísland.

Takk Fyir to Einar, Bjorn, Ed, everyone at KaffiBarrin, Den Danske Kro, Kofitomosar and Sangitamaya for letting me play and record the Sound Cradle.

We shall speak about this again friends.....................

Hallo Moomin Trolls!!

Well tomorrow morning sees the start of our great Icelandic adventure.

I'll be scouring the venues, radio stations and record shops of Reykjavik for suitable places to play and broadcast over the next year or so.

Very much looking forward to the lunar landscape and perhaps bagging myself a little elf roadie!!

See you on the other side Bread heads!!

Ola Cleg Nuts!!!

Well, after several months of numerous 'puter boffins trying to salvage my files, finally I can safely say that 70% of the album is irretrievable.

I will be back to the drawing board and beavering away over the summer to write the rest of the ill-fated '(Falling from) The Nutty Tree'-the irony of 'Loss' not being wasted on me at all!!!

In the meantime, coming up I have remix releases on the horizon for 'Lost Idol' (Cookshop), Ernest Gonzales (Friends of Friends/Exponential) and Dextro (Border Community/Gronland).

Ill keep thees posted like'

Take care

Hoittle Piano Dentists!!

Just thought Id keep you posted on some issues like'.

The remix of Fujiya & Miyagi's 'Dishewasher' will be included as the b-side to their next single 'Sore Thumb', released in April.

Those same lovely chaps will be remixing one of my tunes to included where and when we deem necessary.

My album is nearing completion, I just need to add a few more flecks of electric gravy to the carpet of digital sausage meat that currently presides.

The next remix I am taking on is Lost Idol's 'Litewerk' which is taken from his delicious forthcoming album.

I am currently putting the finishing touches to an hour mix for Solid Steel, which could well see the light of day sometime soon.

A HD version of the video to 'Bibliophone' by S_INK is available to view here:

Zoon van snooK 'Bibliophone' from Zoon van snooK on Vimeo.
