Our song "Broken Sky" will be going to radio the last week of February.  At that time we will be releasing it and possibly another song via internet music stores like iTunes.  We are still making the final touches on our album and have a target release for the month of April.  All of us are very excited to be releasing new music and getting out on the road playing these songs live.

We will be rotating some of the songs from our upcoming album in few weeks.

Hey everyone, just wanted to give you a quick update on the new album and everything that’s happening in our world. I hope everyone has had a great year.
The as yet untitled new release will drop summer 08. Honestly, it seems weird to even type that, for at one time I thought it would never come out at all. Over the last couple months we’ve had setback after setback, and it’s been difficult to stay on track. We’ve given every bit of ourselves to these songs, and we are anxious to get them out to you. We thank you for standing by us and giving us the motivation to try and outperform ourselves. Here’s to another year in the books, and to many more years of music and appreciation from us to you.

Greetings from Knoxville TN,

I just wanted to  give a quick update as to what's going on in the world of Copper. I also wanted to say hey to everybody, and I hope you all had a great 2006!

We've been writing and recording for some of the last year, touring whenever we could. I want to thank everyone who came out to a copper show, it was great to see both new and familiar faces in the crowd. It was a great year for us. We saw so many of you come by and leave us comments on our page. We appreciate it all, even if you're just saying hi. We got to play the historic Tennessee Theatre, which was amazing. We survived a hurricane in Florida, and we shared the stage with so many great bands, many of which are from Knoxville.

In 2007 we will continue to write and record the follow up to Fragile Fall. Hopefully it will be done sooner rather than later. You all have been waiting so patiently for us to release some new material, as have we. We have put a few of the new songs up on the music player over the past couple months, and your feedback has been great. We are excited to get the new stuff out and we're excited to get out and play it for you. Thank you for everything!! We are looking forward to what 2007 may bring....More Rock.

Current mood:  chipper
Hey everybody,

I just wanted to take a few minutes to talk about the past few shows we had and send out a special thanks to everyone who came out and showed their support.

We had a great time in Nashville at Buzzfest, made a lot of new friends and seen some old friends as well. The weather ended up being great, and the crowd helped us play a lot harder! You all definetly made it all worth while.

Panama City was a blast! A special thanks to the staff at 97x, the crew at Club La Vela, the guys from Shinedown, and everyone who watched our set and really just rocked out with us the whole time! We enjoyed meeting everyone and definetly had a great time we won't forget. We even took a day off and stayed at the beach.

We finally made it to Wisconsin and received a warm welcome from the other bands, who played their asses off, the staff at 94.1, and all our friends who rocked out with us! You all made the 24 hour drive well worth it!

So thanks again to everyone that made it to the shows. For those who didn't, we made it there safe, missed a hurricane and had a great time on the road. We'll see you all soon!

Rock on,

Mike

J. D’ADDARIO/GUITAR.COM/FUSE TV “WE’RE LISTENING”

CONTEST WINNER ANNOUNCED

Hard Rock Band Copper Takes the Gold
FARMINGDALE, NY, July 22, 2005—It’s happened. A winner has been selected for the historic J. D’Addario/Guitar.com, Fuse TV “We’re Listening” contest, which drew nearly 3,000 bands and 41,000 individual voters. Copper, out of Knoxville, Tennessee have been chosen as “The greatest band we’ve never heard” – until now.

Nearly 3,000 bands uploaded songs in MP3 format onto the We’re Listening web page with more than 41,000 votes cast to whittle the entrants down to a top 150. The voting closed April 15, and D’Addario’s panel of judges carefully listened to each Top 150 song, breaking the group down to a Top 20, which was then scrutinized once again. The judging was done by a panel of experts at D’Addario plus guest judges Jeff Stinco of Simple Plan, former Marilyn Manson guitarist John 5, Jane’s Addiction bassist Chris Chaney, former Megadeth bassist David Ellefson, producers Roy Z and Joe Beressi, and others. At the end of the long, intense judging process, Copper came out on top.

Copper, a melodic hard rock band, won the judges over with their song “Turn.” The band nets prizes ranging from an endorsement deal from J. D’Addario, a place in the next D’Addario television advertisement on Fuse TV and an appearance on Fuse TV’s live “Daily Download,” to full-page print ads, lots of J. D’Addario product, including gear from D’Addario, Evans drumheads, and Planet Waves cables and accessories, and more. Although Copper has not been signed to any label, they’ve been making a good name for themselves on their own, performing more than 200 shows a year in 23 cities.

“We’re honored to have made the cut as ‘The Best Band You’ve Never Heard,’ and it’s exciting to be associated with brands like D’Addario, Evans, and Planet Waves – they make some of the best products for musicians in the world, and are a company that has always supported music,” says Copper guitarist Keith Wallen. “We’d like to thank all of the fans who voted for us in the first round and the judges who ultimately selected us from what was a really great pool of talent.”

“D’Addario has always supported the grass-roots bands and artists who are looking for a chance to make it,” says Grace Newman, J. D’Addario Senior Manager, Artists and Promotions. “Copper has a really solid touring base, and have played with bands like Crossfade, The Exies, and Seether. Their website has gotten more than 300,000 visitors, and they’ve sold over 6,000 of their CDs, which is remarkable in that they haven’t been signed to a label yet. ‘Turn’ is a great song; there were a lot of great songs. Copper came out on top.”

Visit www.daddario.com and www.guitar.com to listen to Copper and some of the runners-up!
