First of all. A BIG thanks to the audience and organisers of the festival Ilha Do Ermal in Portugal which was held this last weekend.
Although there were a lot of delays that made us cut our set, as well as guitar problems that fucked up some of the vibes, you were still there and pushed us and gave us an awesome time on stage. Thank you again!!!!
This was also the last show with session guitarrist Rune Foss. You were amazing man. Thank you a million times for everything.

And now to the main news:
It..s with great pleasure I..m finally introducing the new line-up for you.
The new guy in One man army is called Jonas Blom. A great guy that will fit perfectly in this band. He has a great personality, awesome skills and he is very hungry and motivated. All the things we need right now to build up the machine once more.
The first show with Jonas will take place at the Metal Invasion festival in Ruhstorf,Germany on the 19th of September so make sure to come and support Jonas and the rest of the band.

Hello Army fans out there!

Long time since the last update but here it comes:

The search for a new guitarplayer is over. We have found the perfect guy for this band.
But we will wait with the presentation of him until we have played our show at the Festival - ILHA DO ERMAL on the 28th of august, where we will do the last show with our great friend and session guitarplayer Mr Rune Foss.

We are looking forward to this festival show very much as well as what the future might bring for the new line-up further on.

Keep on supporting death metal!!!!
Hail to you all!!!!!!!

A short statement about our show at the Roxy in Flensburg:

There has been complications with this show that has forced us to cancel it. I will not go into any details since it would be unfair to the people involved, but what I can say is that it..s not within our powers to change the outcome of it. And we are very sad for the people who intended to come to the show. Although, be very sure that we will come back to Germany any time soon.

Another update concerning our guitarplayer situtation is that we have done a couple of positive auditions and we are getting closer and closer to a final decision. More on this soon.

Cheers,
Johan

Hello metal friends!

Hope you..re doing good out there.

Just a little update for you all.

We will start with a couple of auditions today. We have 3 guys on our current list that seems interesting for us. Stay tuned for more info on how that progress goes.

And need I tell you that we will not release a new album this year?;-) We have worked really hard since we started 2004 but 2009 will be the first year to put our feet on the breaks. We will take it really easy with stuff. Do a couple of on off shows, get a new member and then focus on the fourth album 2010.We are definitely not in a hurry, but when we do come back with new material it will be something special. That..s a promise.

And a message to all Swedish metal heads out there:

Känner ni att ni är den rätte för One man army? Känner ni nån som är grym? Tveka då inte att kontakta oss på info@onemanarmy.tv  å markera mailet "Ny gitarrist".

Cheers!

On the first of April 2009 our longtime friend and bandmember Mikael Lagerblad decided to quit the band. His thoughts has been towards this decision for a while now even though we haven..t seen it coming. But being in this band is of course all about free will. If you don..t feel comfortable in being in a band that plays extreme music and loving every minute of it, then you shouldn..t be in the band.

Mikael has written a lot of good songs for this band but one should know that his contribution only has covered around 35-40% of the total Army catalouge. That means that we without doubt will be able to continue writing new great Army stuff for the future, despite this setback .
I mean, for example, 95% of the first album "21st century killing machine" was written without him so this situation isn..t something new and scary that will bring us down. It..s of course a sad thing but not the end of the world.

Mikael has been a big part of this band and he will surely be missed and we wish him the best of luck with his other projects. C-ya Mike!, keep on shredding the beast and the harlot.

For the next couple of months We have brought a session guitarist into the band that will help us out during some of the already booked shows that we have. So if you are worried that we will start canceling shows you should stop worrying. One man army doesn..t quit. Setbacks like this always makes this killing machine stronger and stronger. We will play as much as possible for the Grim Tales touring cycle so c..mon, keep those bookings coming.

Our session guitar player is a guy named Rune Foss who also plays with both Marek and Mattias in their other band Reclusion. He is a great guitarplayer and a great guy on the personal level so doing a couple of shows with him throughout Europe will be a blessing. Mattias will handle all the solos at the moment. He is originally a lead guitarist and this task will come very natural for him. We definitely have an interesting time in front of us.

But of course, in time we will need a new fulltime member so this is the chance for YOU to proove that you belong in this great band. Write an email and apply for the job will ya!!
info@onemanarmy.tv is where you need to send your application and one thing should be mentioned: We only pay attention to swedish applications. This for obvious reasons. It..s kinda hard to rehearse with people that lives a million miles away from you. Lead or rhythm. Contact us anyway if you belive you are great in what you do.

ONLY THE STRONG SURVIVE!!!

See you on the road,
/Johan and the band

Hear you can read Mikaels final statement:

"After three albums and almost five years in the band I have decided to quit. It has been a great time and I..m proud of the music that we have created.

Even though One Man Army has been a big part of my life, I feel I..m ready to move on. During the last couple of months my motivation and inspiration has not been at the high level it usedto be.

It might sound like a cliché but there..s no bad blood between us and I..m comfortable with my decision.

I want to thank the fans, the bands we have toured with, the companies and all the people that are involved in the band.

Last but not least I want to thank Johan, Robert, Marek and Mattias for the great time and I wish all you guys the best in the future!
/Mikael"

Hey all you metal heads out there!!
Are you wondering what..s happening in The Army camp?
Well, at the moment we are working hard to get a new good booking agency, a new partner that can book us some more tours and festivals. This band needs to get out and play and I know that a lot of you guys want this to happen as much as we do. All I can say right now is that we might have a couple of interesting partners that we are in contact with right now. Time will tell if anything will go our way.
Other than this we have like 2 more shows booked in Germany later this year. More on this when showtime approaches.
And to all the Swedish fans out there! KOM TILL TROLLHÄTTAN PÅ LÖRDAG FÖR FAN!!!!!! DET BLIR ETT JÄVLA ÖS!!
Till next time,
Cheers!!!
