If you don't already know, Versify is a project between me, and the beat producer, Ulliversal, and our record is going to be released on New Ground Collabo/Premiyum Entertainment in April of 2006. Included will be collaborations with top underground artists and a track or tracks produced by the winner of the HHD producer contest. (Link here: http://www.hiphop-directory.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11688 )

This is my first project that has had any label involvement, so its a little more serious than my stuff on this page... so add us as friends and let us know what you think of the songs we have so far... thanks millions,

Doc

Alright, well, I've just released a new free mixtape called "Doctor Oscify- best of 2005". Out of the 60 or so songs i've made this year this release includes the top seventeen or so, plus never before heard demos and bonus tracks. It includes songs with Richie Griffin, Joe Fury, Obsoleet, and others and will include production by Ulliversal, BrainStormedWeather, M-Stryke, Turl, and myself.

Basically, if you want this release, write me a message with your name and address, and I will contact you as quickly as possible to get you these songs.

What if it sucks and I hate it? well, its free, then isn't it and you can give it to a friend who likes really shitty music, besides theres no harm in sharing music of an artist you hate over the internet to steal thousands of sales from that artist. Its the American way.

For snail mail hit me with your address or send an envelope care of:

Leo Fairbanks
1000 Rim Drive
Durango CO, 81301
FLC 7966

So send me a message to get on the list NOW!!!

PS: I can't still send it through the internet cause my connection fried, but hit me with an address and I'll get it to you ASAP!!!!

Well, B-Rex and I just lost our freestyle show, The Velour Hour, on the Durango college radio station, KDUR FM, 91.9, 93.9 for saying way too many fucking curse words. It sucks that we lost the show after only three broadcasts, but we'll be back next semester. we also have a couple recordings of the freestyles we did on The Velour Hour that will be posted shortly. If your pissed that Durango lost its only live freestyle show, you can visit the KDUR website at www.kdur.org to complain or make a comment.

On Wednesday the 14th, I finally entered a studio to begin recording vocals for my long ass project called "Self Portrait in Progress". I did some vocal takes for the album version of "Ten Minutes of Hate" and some for another political track called "Money and War". they both basically sucked for every take, but what can a person do? It looks like it could be largely free, cause the sound engineer is a dude I work with, so hopefuly I can finish this shit and not be completely broke. It was also the first time I've heard a truly high fidelity recording of my own voice, and damn, I sound like such a fuckin nerd, its like the first time you hear yourself on an answering machine, and you're like, "I talk like that?". Anyway it's good times, but now I'm hoping desperately to finish the beat for one more track. Blowin' the fuck up, or some shit like that.

If I can finish production on these two pesky ass songs, I can finally be in the studio for vocal recordings of "Self Portrait in Progress", a hellish project that has been two years in the making. If listener response is weak I may tear each hair out, because this project has been all consuming for a year and a half and partially consuming for an additional six months. Fortunately, I have found some excellent producers to help me achieve amazing sound on the record, so thank you's are greatly desereved by M-Stryke, Ulliversal, and BrainStormedWeather. without you guys I would be further than ever from finishing this hunk of shit. Thanks also to all of the artists I sampled in the process of making this, without your lovely recordings, this would be a Fruity Loops exclusive.
