To commemorate the 10th anniversary of his death, the Paul Marinaro Trio (with Chris White on piano and Joe Policastro on bass) with celebrate the life and music of Frank Sinatra. A singer who changed the musical and cultural landscape of the 20th century, and whose influence spreads across genres and generations, Sinatra's songbook consists mainly of the greatest songs ever written. The trio will present well-known hits as well as more obscure gems culled from Sinatra's 60 year recording career. $7 cover.

This tribute will coincide with the US Postal Service release of The Frank Sinatra Commemorative Stamp.

If you haven't been to Katerina's yet, you truly are missing out on one of Chicago's best gems. "An eclectic club with its soul in the arts, Katerina's is a bar, it's a bistro, a cultural center. It's a meeting place for old friends and new friends. A place where romance blossoms and time stands still." The venue also boasts a fantastic menu and drink selection, as well as a reputation for booking some of the finest musicians in town.

Hello everybody,

Here are some new originals I just recorded (unedited).

Thanks for all that came out to Andy's last night.  It was a fun, fun gig - Tim Davis filled in for Mike on drums and did a wonderful job.

We're trying out some new material for my recital at Loyola in the fall.  I came up with this idea to do "A Time for Us," the love theme from Franco Zeffirelli's excellent 1968 film "Romeo and Juliet," as an 90's-type R&B ballad - we'll see if it works!

Come to my 80's tribute tonight from 7-9pm at Pause Cafe, 1107 Berwyn, Chicago (at Berwyn "el"). You'll hear me perform solo piano jazzy-arrangements of great 80's tunes (Spandau Ballet, Phil Collins, Cindy Lauper, U2, Tears for Fears, David Bowie, Elvis Costello, Asia, Bon Jovi, Simple Minds, Sinead O'Connor, Pat Benatar and many more). I won't be dressed as Don Johnson, but there may be a rubik's cube or an Alf doll lying around somewhere . . . .

Chris

PS. I can't resist - check out this cornball Hall and Oates gem from 1982

PPS.  Yes, I will be playing that song!
