I'll be selling the usual Load books ("Why Do You Cry When I'm On Top?" and "Load: The Tiny Book") and "Pope & Pig" comic books. New for this year is the "Sex Kittens" adult art book and the "Tongue In Cheek" books of sex poetry. I'll also have the erotic cartoony man-art prints I did for the Tom of Finland show. Please check them out. I've had a lot of fun writing these dirty poems and doing the drawings. It's been a departure for me from comic strips but I found it very fulfilling.

You there! Yes, you! It's time you heard about my new books! This July I'll be releasing two books of dirty funny sex poetry: Tongue In Cheek, Book 1: Ladies and Tongue In Cheek, Book 2: Gentlemen.



As the titles suggest, the poems are mostly butt-focused with the first book being about doing it with women and the second being about men. So there's something for everyone, assuming you're a pervert ;) It's all meant to be funny, of course. In case you were wondering, the videos I've been putting up for the last couple months are based on some of the poems from these books. So THAT'S what was going on with those things.

And don't think I've given up on drawing; the books will be fully-illustrated in color, too! Hot!

Perhaps you've noticed I haven't posted a Load comic in quite a while. I've noticed this too! I've been going through an unexpected creative transition over the last couple months. I've felt like Load has become creatively dry for me. I'm sure I could churn out more, but that's really not where my heart is right now.  For some reason, a few months ago I began writing silly sex poetry. I discovered I liked it and so I wrote more and more at an impressive rate. I've been much more interested in doing this instead of drawing Load.

That's not to say I've stopped drawing. Just a few weeks ago I created a small collection of adult art for the Tom of Finland Erotic Art Fair. You can see it all here.  I also drew a couple small comics for different projects, one of which was the True Chicken Stories video I put up a month ago. The other might be too dirty to upload to YouTube, though. We'll see.

The whole music video thing came about because I really wanted to record some of my poems. I messed around in GarageBand to set the poems to music, and bam, I got songs. This has been very very fun for me. I may just be going through a phase, but it's a creatively rewarding one. I'm finally combining the things I like or have studied (comedy, sex, rhyming, music, and film) into one entity. Upcoming videos will even incorporate my love of video games.

I don't think I'm done with Load. I plan to get it going again at some point, just not right now. I will have a couple books of my poetry done and for sale by the time the San Diego Comic-Con comes around in July. And I'll have work in various art shows between now at then as well. So continue to watch this space. I swear to god, there will be funny stuff!
