The Subjects

Great time in Austin last week. Got to hang out with most of our friends. Day 1 we leave at 6am fly to Dallas. As we walk off the plane we are welcomed by non other then our manager Nick.

About an hour later End of The World show up with a van and we all drive down to Austin. EOTW played that night. it was fun, we also saw the Lemon Heads last 2 songs and met a guy who looked just like our friend JP from Pittsburgh (BTR for life!!!). That night we all went back to the place we were staying and realize that the room is 10 feet by 10 feet in size and we need to fit 5 guys in it. some how we did it.

Thursday we played at Chain Drive outside with our friends The Jealous Girlfriends. It was a good hang, we got to meet a great group of guys called Bear Hands. a few free drinks a $2 bill and shot gunning a lone star i dont remember much else... oh we saw Drug Rug play. Amazing!

Friday we had no shows so we woke up early and went to see Drug Rug at some party. After that we went to the Fader Fort and spent the whole day in the RCRD LBL room. White Rabbits showed up mid day and spent the rest of the night with them until their showcase at Club De Ville. Around 10am Joe is doing an amazing impression of Weekend At Bernie’s, Jimmy has been lost for 6 hours, Dave got a new Tank Top and 3D glasses and Matty doesn’t understand why he feels exactly the same as he did at 1pm.

Saturday. took us a little while to all get up. Jimmy and Dave went off to some place together... no one knows where, and Joe, Matty and Nick went to a few high class parties. That night we played our showcase at BD Riley’s. Very fun and the Rabbits sat in on percussion through the window for the entire set.

after the show Dave went to see Dr. Dog while Matty, Joe and Jimmy all got denied in the artist entrance when they claimed to be a band that had played there that night. Joe, Jimmy and Nick end up going to the Perez Hilton party and Matty goes to the Vice after party. some how talked our way into hotel parties and all slept on the drive back to Dallas while Ben from EOTW drove... Sorry Ben.

so it was a fun weekend!
