Hello All ,
Are
you ready? Join the rally at www.toyotires.com/blog.
High
adventure. Radical terrain. A few hundred motorcycles, cars, quads, and trucks
racing over mountains, through deserts, and along the Pacific
Ocean. This is where heroes are made and legends lived.
Welcome
to the 2010 Dakar,
the craziest, most dangerous off-road rally in the world. And once again,
Toyo Tires is covering it all from the front seat—or at least the
trunk—of an H3. For the third year, our own Ramses Perez is blogging,
shooting video, and taking photos while riding with off-road rock star Robby Gordon's Team Dakar USA.
On
January 2–16, Gordon will traverse some of the world’s highest
sand dunes and mountains while racing through Argentina
and Chile
with one thing on his mind: victory. After an impressive third place overall
and first-in-class finish in 2009, he is determined to take the top spot in
2010.
Originally
run through Europe and Africa, the Dakar
returns to South America for the second time
with a course that covers 5,592 miles (9,000 kilometers) over 14 stages. This
is an incredible, international event. It’s wild and fun, beautiful and
dangerous, and you can be in the middle of it with Toyo Tires.
Ramses’
Rally Journal is now live at www.toyotires.com/blog.
Check it out for an inside look at the preparation and planning as Team Dakar
leaves for Argentina.
We
look forward to having you with us for the adventure.

Goodridge, Minn. (Dec. 16, 2009) – Monster Energy/Arctic Cat’s Tucker Hibbertis set for his 100th career start and 50th career win at the historic Milwaukee Mile this weekend at round two of the AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series (ACSS.) For the first time, the oldest motor speedway in the world will be transformed into a snocross track for the Milwaukee Mile National. Hibbert will take his 99th career start in the Pro Super Stock final Friday night. If he wins, he will record his 49th pro victory. That would set him up for his 100th career start and potential 50th pro win Saturday night in the Pro Open final. At only 25, Hibbert is already considered a veteran in the sport and proved last weekend he is still the man to beat. At the season opener in Duluth Minn., he won all of his qualifying rounds and both pro finals, riding flawlessly in brutal conditions. He was undefeated last season and has not lost a race, including qualifying rounds, since March 2008. Pro racing action begins Friday afternoon with Pro Super Stock qualifying. Pro main events will take place under the lights Friday and Saturday night. Check out isocracing.com for the full schedule along with more details on the event. Tucker Hibbert – Milwaukee Mile National • First Career Appearance at the Milwaukee Mile Friday, Dec. 18 Saturday, Dec. 19 3 p.m. - Pro Qualifying Begins 3 p.m. - Pro Qualifying Begins 7 p.m. - Opening Ceremonies 7 p.m. - Opening Ceremonies 9:45 - Pro Super Stock Final 9:15 - Pro Open Final Tucker Hibbert #68 – Monster Energy/Arctic Cat “I can’t wait to race at the Milwaukee Mile this weekend. I’ve never been there but it’s exciting to know I’ll be racing at a venue with such rich racing history. I try not to think about career wins but this is a big weekend. It’s hard to believe I’ll be taking my 100th pro start. That makes me sound old but I certainly don’t feel old! After having so much success last season, I didn’t know what to expect this year. Duluth was unbelievable and gave me a lot of confidence that I can have another strong season. I can’t say enough good things about the Monster Energy/Arctic Cat crew. They have my sled dialed in and I feel so strong on it. It’s a good feeling pulling up to the starting line knowing I have great equipment. I know I have a target on my back but it just makes me work harder. I have no plans on slowing down and am prepared to put my Monster Energy/Arctic Cat on top of the box again this weekend.” Resources: tucker-hibbert.com • monsterenergy.com • arcticcat.com • isocracing.com

12/13/2009 Snow dust was in the air as some of the most exciting racing of the AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series of the season kicked it up on Spirit Mountain Duluth, on day two of the AMSOIL Duluth National. There was a lot of energy on the track some of the best drivers in the world took the green for the Caterpillar Pro Super Stock race for the first of two huge finals of the weekend. At the end of 22 laps with 20 drivers at the start it was an Arctic Cat sweep with Tucker Hibbert, #68 of Goodridge, Minn., Arctic Cat, who took first place at the checkered finishing this race where he left off at the end of last season. But the win didn’t come without challenges and a few surprises. Dan Ebert, #60 of Lake Shore, Minn., Arctic Cat, got the hole shot in his first appearance as a Pro after moving up from semi-pros. Ebert put on a clinic for the seasoned drivers with a huge lead until Hibbert passed him at the half-way mark. Ebert appeared to be stuck in lap traffic and thick snow dust but held the second place position to the podium. Garth Kaufman, #48 of Driggs, Idaho, Arctic Cat, poured on the energy throughout the race. Kaufman had a bad start at the hole and was pushed to the back of the pack. He held up his momentum and started picking off drivers left and right to come from behind and finish in 3rd at the podium where he said there were yellow flags in both corners and he had to “get creative.” The biggest surprises of the race were Ryan Simons, #67, Levi LaValle, #108 and Robbie Malinoski #4 who all looked impressive during qualifying rounds ended up not finishing. There were a lot of yellow flags during the 16 laps of extreme tight racing of the Arctiva Semi-Pro final. Mike Bauer, #717 of Owen, Wisc., Polaris, raced strong off the start and led the majority of the race to finish in first at the podium. Kyle Palin #324 of Ironwood, Mich., took his new ride as he switched from Ski-Doo to Arctic Cat and took the second place spot at the podium. It was Chris Kafka, #991 of Stratford, Wisc., on a Polaris finishing third after being the number one qualifier. He fell back at the start and battled his way back for position. Another impressive race was the Fox Shox Pro Plus 30 Super Stock. This class seems to be growing in numbers as 14 drivers took the start. At the end of ten laps it was Justin Tate, #28 of Scandia, Minn., Polaris, who took the first-place podium spot after a good battle on the snow. Dave Allard, #167 of St. Felcien, Quebec, stepped up to the second-place spot at the podium. In third it was then Earl Reimer, #100, Ski-Doo, of Waldhof, Ontario, has dominated the class for several years. The Camoplast Pro Women Super Stock gave the crowd an exciting race with Kylie Abrahamson, #87, of Merrifield, Minn., Polaris, took the green and without skipping a beat she looked styling and picked up where she left off last season by dominating her class. Jennifer Pare, #112 of LaDore, Quebec took a solid second-place. Carly Davis, # 905, of Soldonta, Alaska, Arctic Cat qualified second and finished in third place proved she will no doubt be a force to be reckoned with this season. In the Motocomm Sport Super Stock final it was Andrew Carlson, # 151, Arctic Cat who held the race flag-to-flag taking the first place spot on the podium. It was Casey Boylan, #630 of Anchorage, Alaska, on Ski-Doo in second and Travis Muller, #436 of Windom, Minn., Ski-Doo in third. For the Newman’s Trailers Jr. Novice 10-14 class Dalton Johnson, #515 of Eau Claire, Wisc., took the podium in first place after an impressive battle. It was Preston Cowing, #127, of Wyoming, Minn., in second-place and Eddie Neubauer, #747 of Union Grove, Wisc., Ski-Doo taking the third. Freddie Grove, #777 finished both qualifying rounds in first place and held that position taking the first in the Rengel Printing Transition 8-12 final. It was Devinn Galley, #136 of Kenosha, Polaris, in second-place and Trent Wittwer, #115 of Bemidgi, Minn., finishing in third place. The crowd was treated to an impressive realization as several men and women took the step and were sworn in as members of the United States Air Force. The achievement was followed by an amazing display of an F-15 fly-over. The Monster Energy Slednecks kicked it up a notch and treated the crowd to two shows of wild tricks and thrills. The theme of the day was high energy racing proving that these drivers are not just racers — they are athletes |

The Monster Energy Slednecks Invasion Tour is once again partnering with the AMSOIL ISOC National Snocross Series for 2009-2010.
Continuing on the success of last year's Invasion Tour, the Slednecks team backed by Monster Energy is once again fusing the high flying antics of freestyle snowmobiling with the best snocross series in the world. While the plans have been on the down low for the last while, Monster and Slednecks have planted riders Paul Thacker, Cody Borchers, Jeff Mullin, Dylan Harju, and Matt "Tinger" Tinstad, just outside of Duluth at the Black Bear Casino ready to put on a show for the rescheduled Duluth National this weekend.. Slednecks Invasion Tour Manager Paul Thacker states, "The course is set, the riders are ready, and we will put on a great show tonight and tomorrow. We are stoked to be working with ISOC once again this year." Previous Champion and 2009-2010 ISOC contender Robbie Malinoski also is excited to see freestyle back at the events. "I'm pumped to see the Slednecks Invasion Tour back! It adds another dimension to the show. I'm a freestyle fan as well as a race fan, and for fans to be able to see both in the same package is pretty cool." Special thanks are in order for Monster Energy for making these shows happen again.

http://www.cyclenews.com/articles/motocross/2009/12/02/kawi-riders-dominate-winter-nationalsMonster Energy Kawasaki Team Green riders celebrated the holiday weekend with a chart-topping 25 championships and 47 podiums at the 2009 Winter National Olympics in Gainesville, Fla. The riders were faced with both supercross and motocross racing throughout the week, proving their all-around riding ability. Young gun Chase Bell took home five total championships, while veteran riders captured every championship throughout the week in the plus classes. Chase BellWith a three month break from the last big national at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch, Bell didn’t seem to miss a beat when he took to the track in Florida. Bell won every first moto he attempted and ended up with an impressive five championships in both 65cc and 85cc classes. Plus Riders Take AllKawasaki’s dominance in the Plus classes continued with James Evans, Jon Boruff, Mike Treadwell, Earl May, and Matt Tedder Sr. taking wins. Evans earned both the supercross and motocross titles in the Plus 30 and the Plus 25 supercross title, while Boruff snuck in and grabbed the Plus 25 motocross title. Treadwell swept up the Plus 35 and Plus 40 in both the supercross and motocross competition. May rode to a steady two title week with wins in both Plus 45 classes, while Tedder did the same in the Plus 50. Chase and Tanner Round Up 65ccWith eight 65cc class championships up for grabs, Kawasaki’s KX65 took five of the eight throughout the week with the help of Bell and Stack. Between them, they won 12 of the 16 possible motos and took three of the four Olympiad awards in the 65cc classes. First Big Bike ChampionshipJustin Summers took his first-career big bike championship in the competitive Open B Stock class. Summers had earned titles in smaller displacements, but this was his first on a bigger displacement. With the gate always stacked with talent, Summers showed off his supercross skills and was able to grab his first in his home state of Florida. The Award Goes To…The Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green riders took home a host of awards after the final checkered flag was waved. Summers took home the special Thor Outstanding Achievement Award, while a handful of riders were named Olympiad of their specific classes. The Olympiad award is calculated by averaging the moto scores from both the supercross and motocross competition, with Kawasaki taking nine awards. Stack earned the honors in 65 (7-9) Division 1, Bell in the 65 (10-11) Division 2 and 85 (9-11) Division 3, Evans in the Plus 25 and Plus 30, Treadwell in the Plus 35 and Plus 40, May in the Plus 45, and Matt Tedder Sr. in the Plus 50. Trackside SupportThe support that Team Green™ set out to offer 30 years ago was still being offered at the first official race of the new season in Florida. The staff’s assistance is available at each amateur national, along with select regional events throughout the year. Muddy TrackAfter most of the supercross racing had concluded, the rains of Florida moved in to Gatorback Cycle Park. Although it had stopped for Thursday’s racing, the track conditions made it challenging for the riders. ResultsWinter National Olympics Gatorback Cycle Park- Gainesville, Fla.
