DAY ONE - KILMARNOCK
So after arriving at my house very early (uncharacteristic of us), we end up leaving late as usual. One thing that is a very steady constant in the gap year riot is lateness. Eveywhere we go we're at least half an hour late. It sucks. But it's true! Had a few pitstops on route to Killie. First up we had to check the air in the tyres of the riot van. Now im told they were all meant to be at 55 (whatver that means) anyway, the front drivers one was at 14..Fuck me!! Had we not checked before we set off then this may have been our farewell tour!
Another 3 stops trying to find a new merch board (cause we broke the ours on the tour last month) and we're finally all set to go.
Arrived at The Cell a bit later than planned but wasn't much behind the other bands so all was good. That was until the venue changed it's door age to +18 from +14 40 mins before the show. Bad time indeed. One thing led to another and we didn't play the show. Gutting way to start off the tour but we felt it was best thing for us to do. We shall nit get into the ins and outs. Felt sorry for the boys from Energy but unfortunately these things happen.
Anyway we didn't waste our night, we headed back to mine via ASDA and got very very drunk. Good night indeed!

A good bit of Guitar hero, plenty of beer and some transferable tattoos is a great evening. Beats x factor any day.
DAY TWO - BATHGATE
Ok hangovers aside, Dave makes an audacious statement that his gran used to own a monkey and it got put in jail one night for jumping on a mans head. This is later backed up by a text, YES A TEXT, from his gran. Strange and in my opinion still untrue. We travel the short distance for our first trip to Bathgate still with fake tattoos and sore heads. That aside, the venue is Harleys and after soundcheck the gap year riot decide we love this place! The vibe is awesome and a good crowd turned out so we're happy.

NICE TAT
DAY THREE - LEEDS
So once again after a few hitches we set off a bit late but Leeds is closer than we thought. Three and a half hours driving in the wind and rain before we arrive at Rios. This is our first trip as a band to Leeds so we're all well up for the show and in particularly high spirits after visting Whetherby service station.
Being in a band and travelling a lot, we do spend a large amount of time in service stations and this place is amazing! FACT! It ranks very high in our top services. check it out if you get a chance! Hats off!
After this Neil takes a stint at driving the last half hour. He does however spend more time on the cats eyes than the proper road. All in all though a comfortable drive accompanied by a bit of Young Guns EP. We also passed the John Smeaton lesuire centre. In Leeds, very funny indeed.
The show in Rios had a few technical hitches but all in all we loved our trip and hope to be back soon.

I'll update the rest soon. Get in touch for Yashin tickets now!!!!
