Hello TPS friends/lovers

We are playing a very special show next week-

Tue 12th-
Hopetoun Hotel.
8PM $12

It is a special unannounced secret show
for industry and friends and fans: to play eveyone some new songs and just say hello after being a bit hermit-like for a while.
We have been working on new music- writing, recording and mixing and we are putting out the HOWL EP in June with some new stuff from us, including lead track HOWL which will be on your radios soon, plus some remixes by some electro superstars.
You need to remember the words Woo! and Ho!
A big chunk of our set on Tuesday will be new tunes, plus some old favourites too.

We are supported by Camilla Parker Bowles which is somewhat of a super group, that is fronted by a young man who delivers a mean performance, sings of about his generation and now resides in the city of angels, Los Angeles U.S. of A. Can you guess ?

Opening on the night will be News Hawks, a new sydney band that have been recording an EP with Dappled CIties keyboardist Ned Cooke. They play very nice guitary/melodic rock. http://www.myspace.com/newshawks

For those that can't make tuesday
we have some more shows coming up, including one in our nations capital!

Mon 11th May - Jai Pyne solo- Oxford Arts Factory- Livewire charity show
Thur 18 June – Transit Bar Canberra
Fri 19 June – Sosueme, Q Bar Sydney
Wed 15 July – Beach Road Hotel, Bondi (double headline with Whiskey Go Go's)

After these shows, we be doing a east coast tour late July/August, before once again getting our hermit on and working on writing
and recording the rest of our second album.

Ok, ladies and gentlemen.
Hope to see you there next week, Tue May 12th Hopetoun 8PM $12, if not soon.

x

Hello TPS Massive.
It has been oh so long since we updated you on here and you would have maybe been thinking that we had gone into hibernation?
Well YOU ARE WRONG!
We have been sucking in all good things, our other bands, writing, other projects, our friends food, coffee, travel, work, money, festivals and all that jazz.
We have been writing new songs, and we have recently started recording, tracking back up at the family studio Fracas in byron.
We still not exactly sure when it's gonna come out
but will definitely have a single out mid year which will get us back on stage in your face.
It is sounding pretty great, as diverse and fucked up as you might expect but with a clarity and presence that we may have missed somewhat on LTMPS.
I'm sorry we can't play you anything yet, the best way is to come and see us play a show, but we will be working hard on the songs and we want to get something out there asap. I suppose we are just tryig to be patient and do a great job on the record.
There are some photos that you can see of the recording in our pictures bit,
so check them out. We had a bunch of kids come from byron high and shearwater and byron steiner to sing, so thanks to all of you, you did an awesome job, it sounds fantastic.
We have had some fun shows recently too, Playground weekender was really fun, dusty and hot, the crowd mustered up some serious energy and costumes and we brought the party. And we did a show at the wharf theatre for the Sydney Theatre Company,  receiving a stamp of approval from Andrew Upton and Cate Blanchett, grooving out to our songs with many other happy looking theatre goers.

So we will see you soon good people, you will hear us soon ladies and gents.
We will ride again, will sing your faces off motherbitches.

Love
TPS

YOU .ESS. EY
Hello good people and musiclovers,
I am currently bored out of my mind in Charlotte, North Carolina. (well I was when I wrote this)
Waiting on plane to New York from a friends wedding in Florida.
It has been a while since I wrote on here, so I just thought I'd, well,
blog it up. Been traveling around the US, mostly spending time in New York.
I also went through LA, where i stayed with Andy Clockwise, who resides there now, he is making some great new music, which he will have out soon. and played a very low key acoustic show to a small crowd of people.
Been writing songs and doing some demos, keen to get the rest of the band together
and embellish these further and write some new stuff. We are getting new tunes
together to do an album, hopefully have a single out January/Feb maybe. Not sure exactly.
Juts enjoying having a bit of non band time at the moment, but having said that, pretty keen to get back on stage and play for you lovely people (oh, if i enter into a southern twang or start sounding america, sorry, I just read Catcher In The Rye, and have been to a wedding where people say "y'all" a lot.).
SO anyways- PARKLIFE- we are on stage at 455Pm, on the Village Disco stage, so that should be fun for you Sydney people.
And then we playing with The E.L.F at UNSW for Oktoberfest, Ja!! Das Is Gut!
Remember, you can still buy Less Talk More Paper Scissors in good shops, and our Signature The Paper Scissors Tea Towels are running out, so come to a show and get one while they last.
Anyways folks, it's been realy lovely talking with y'all.
See you soon,

Jai

Yo people.

so in Byron Bay, it is sunny and lovely. We played in Brisbane on Thursday night at the Troubadour which was fun, thanks peoples that came along, and thanks to the seabellies and to yeo and the fresh goods who were both great. You should check both of them out, they in our friends list.

We drove back from brisbane to byron with the band and philharmonic and arrived bleary eyed and grumpy at 3am.

We have been playing music here at the faithful old Fracas in Byron, drinking mexican beer with tabasco in it and, it is exciting (not the beer, it's actually pretty bad), coming up with new sounds and songs and melodies. It is gonna be different to stuff we've done before. Tom bought a new guitar a music man one, it is niiiice.

Oh and there is an interview with moi at Lost At E Minor it gives a nice little back stroy of tps- check it people

Anyway, going to have soup and then come back and play more tunes. Oh and oh lord it was so nice to get away from all the catholics, god damned fluoro back packs and lack of condoms was killing me. Oh and if anyone is going to splendour I will be guesting with bluejuice on the axe, totally shredding

much love Jai

Yo people.
So just about to head to brizvegas to play there tonight.
Pre breakfast just doing some nerding out and want to tell you all
that Unkle Ho our friend over at Elefant Traks, beat man for Sydney super hip hop collective
The Herd- has done a remix of Yamanote Line and we are giving it away for
free! free! free! for a limited time. You can download it on our myspace home page.
It is an excursion into dub/gypsy/crunk,
so get your vodka out, squeeze your squeeze boxes, download it and get down out on the dusty road.
visit Unkle ho at his myspace
or his website to check out his tunes.

Besides that, remember that we are rocking the Troubadour in Brisbane tonight!
Then next week we are at Oxford Arts Factory in Sydney on Friday night (25th)
then Northcote Social Club in Melbourne on Saturday 26th.
Check our myspace home for tickets and all the excellent support bands.

Remember these are going to be our last headline shows before we put our heads down
to write some new stuff and record. So get along or you lose!

Stay tuned to our myspace for another remix by Nick Wales from Coda under
his Alter Boy moniker. It is a dark disco monster remix of We Don't Walk.
That will be up next week for a free download for a while too.

Ok going to have a cup of tea and pack my bag.

x

Jai

So just quickly.
Go and check out
Buffet Libre
This cool Spanish site.
They asked us to do a cover of an 80's classic
so we chose Hall & Oates - 'I Can't Go For That (No Can Do)'
It's a part of a big project that has artists from all over the world
doing covers of 80's tunes.
You can even download it and keep it for yourself.
Moustaches and mullets are a must.
You totally have to watch the little video on the page too it's amazing.
