I love to have artists do scenes from Fallon in their own style. I recently discovered Daniele Serra here on Myspace. His art is absolutely amazing. Check his site out HERE. I asked him if he could do a poster for the book and he agreed! Here is another scene from Fallon by Daniele Serra. Thanks Dani!

I wasn't going to post this here, but I neglect this site way too much. So I will share the secret lowdown with you as well.
I went to Evansville Indiana to do some research for the trilogy. I am anywhere from 3-5 chapters away from being done with the first book, "Fallon", and the end of that book takes place in Evansville. The second book, "The Adversary", which is about half written almost exclusively takes place in Evansville. Also a satallite novella, (Which is done, but needs to be edited) "A Weapon Ripens" happens in Evansville as well. This one happens in a small time gap between the first and second full novels.
The greatest and strangest thing about the trip was that everything seemed to just be laid out for me. It was easy, and everything I was looking for, I found! Evansvillians are the nicest people I have ever met, so it was really great when I needed direction. I took 124 pictures and 6 pages of hand written notes. I will only bore you with a few. Here is the breakdown:
This is the Willard Library. Famously haunted by "The Grey Lady". The story goes that she was pissed when they sold her father's house without her permission and she hangs around there out of anger. I spent about an hour and a half there, taking pictures and notes. This is the actual place where Fallon will encounter The Grey Lady. Fallon has the ability to speak with such beings and in some cases, she can use them. She will be standing about where this picture was taken. This is fun! Here is a screen capture of me taking notes in the upstairs of the Library. They have a live web cam so people can look for the ghost. This is the very weird Tuberculosis Clinic hidden on the outskirts of Evansville. This place is weird. It is very big, as you can see and they are doing some massive construction on the inside. I have no idea who would want to live or work there. I took pictures through the windows and under the door (which has a huge chunk out of it.) The downstairs are completely spooky. The walls are covered with a tan tile. (I imagine for easy cleaning...ew.) It is strange that many many people died in this building. Anyway, as Fallon discovers that she can actually capture ghosts, goes here in search of more "recruits". This is also where she begins to develop a kind of prejudice against them. Here is the shot I took from under the door. You can see the "sanitary" tile on the right side, that extends throughout the downstairs. This next shot may go in Fallon, if I have room in the story. This is a graveyard which also makes an appearance in "A Weapn Ripens", but Fallon will go here and dsicover this little patch which personally really made me feel weird as I walked around in it. This entire patch is for newborn children or kids that were under a year old when they died. Emotionally, Fallon fluctuates between a human side and something much grander. While walking around these graves, I don't know if it as just the magnitude of what was under me or what, but the area felt constricting. Like my blood pressure was going up or something. I just felt weird, like something was pressing down on me. To add to the creepy factor, there are light windchimes in that little tree. Speaking of how creepy this all was, here is a hand made cement cross. It has a crudly hand carved message in it, which indicates that these people didnt have a very much money. This was really really sad. It reads: "Died Jan 1933- Infant Daughter- of Mr Mrs WC Marx" Can you imagine writing these words in a wet block of cement? Pretty powerful stuff there... This next shot is going shows up in the novella "A Weapon Ripens". This is the Ohio River where Brody strolls in search of answers to what has happened to him. He runs into two entities here that guide him on a violent path. This also takes place in "A Weapon Ripens". That story is already written and I seriously just happened to encounter this out of nowhere. (That was kind of the odd theme to the entire trip.) While it just looks like a patch of woods to you, everything about this area was almost a carbon copy of the part of the story that is already done. Everything from the hill above it, to the trees, to the little playground not pictured here. Here Brody commits his first "unintentional" act of murder. That is it for now. There are 116 more pictures, but I thought this would be enough to get an idea.
