Day 1 phish tour, J WAIL show on lot Jones BEach, NY...went really well! We started off with a downpour and then quickly set up all the gear. Since we were limited on time we decided to not use the stage and set up on tarp. As soon as I started busting out the gear it drew attention....before I even started playing a crowd had gathered to see what was up. Besides some feedback noises the generator was giving off and the slight sock I got from guitar, it went really well! We still got a lil sprinkle after the initial downpour so I had to multi task and wipe off the gear as I was playing. I also was greeted during my set by some old skool peeps I havent seen in like 15 years!! Oh and the cops.....The cops were chill and we had no issues at all! We had peeps enjoying the music and gettin down and th vibes were great! We are now searching online for a power conditioner and a subwoofer! See you Thursday for the phestivities and J WAIL pre and post show!!! PS...photos coming soon!!!!

I just found out that i made newsday.com

Well folks! It's been another 10,000 miles or so and here I am back in Colorado! What a great run it was. I hit up so many places and had so manyt blissful times....of course in hand with that are all the struggles that go along with the road..tires going flat, going the wrong way due to the GPS and the shows where you were wishing more people were there. But that's ok, thats life. All in all, i had the privilege of making new friends, jamming with a ton of musicians, and getting people feeling good on the dance floor.

Ohhh, but the traveling hasn't stopped quite yet. This Thursday night I take it back to Dulcinea's in Denver with Organik Time Machine from Ashland, OR. Friday OTM and I head to Nebraska where we will be playing at the Box Awesome in Lincoln on Friday and at the Goofy Foot in Omaha on Saturday and Sunday. Then I head down to Texas to get my groove on with my friends in Lubbock at Bar PM. For this show there will be some special guest DJs as well. Then we head back east to go visit the family in NY. Why not play some shows along the way? Right, lets funk it up! Look for dates in Oxford, MS with members of Zoogma--an Asheville, NC show and more TBA in the upcoming days.

Thanks for the support and all the love to the people that came out to the shows and shared in the vibe. Without you beautiful people--none of this would ever be possible....so I LOVE YOU and look forward to seein' ya'll again for some bumpin' blissful freaky funky action!

Every year the town of Telluride gets to together for a fiasco at the Opera house. Talk about an evening that will be ragin'!  I will be delighted to provide some candy for the ears and souls on this spooky n' freaky October 31st.  Come join the festivities and get crazy with Telluride as KOTO Radio throws another blissful bash!

Then the next day I will stroll on over to Durango as we roll into November where I will get funky at the good ole' Summit!  Can't wait!

A lil Sheridan Opera House history:

Performers from Lillian Gish to Sarah Bernhardt to Jackson Browne have graced our stage. The Sheridan Opera House was built by the Telluride miners in 1913 as a vaudeville theater and cultural center, attracting variety shows, orchestras and touring theater companies.

Start your summer off right and join us in celebrating the art of electronic music and dance. Groove to the latest in electronic music performed by both local and national artists. Catch a glimpse of the shimmying gyrations of local belly dancers. Enjoy a dazzling display by AK Fire Circus and the live art being created to the music.. You're sure to find something you'll love under our Midnight Sunrise. What better way to really begin the summer then with a celebration of the Alaskan solstice?

This year's Summer Solstice will not only greet Alaska with plenty of sunshine, but also with the birth of a music festival. On the eve of Friday, June 20th, hundreds will celebrate the First Annual Midnight Sunrise Solstice Celebration at UAA's Wendy Williamson Auditorium. This year's celebration features the art of electronic music and dance. National Touring artists J.Wail and Rob Nobel headline the event with an array of DJs from Alaska.

Catch a glimpse of the shimmying gyrations of local belly dancers and enjoy a dazzling display by AK Fire Circus. In an effort to bring music to Alaska, Midnight Sunrise Founder Jonah Lipsky aka J. Wail says, "For the years to come on Solstice, I plan on bringing an array of acts from Alaska and around the world in for Midnight Sunrise. Somewhere in my heart is a strong desire to bring Alaskans more music."

J.Wail came to Alaska last year for the first time and infused audiences with something completely fresh and new. Playing live instruments, vocals, and live electronics, his "one man band of the future" antics have been setting off crowds from Hawaii to Alaska to San Francisco into blissful frenzies. Having played over 400 shows in less than 3 years he is on a mission to share his unique styles with the world. His current "Tour De Bliss" reaches off to dates from Kodiak Island to San Diego to Maine. On recent tours he's shared the stage with members of the String Cheese Incident, the Grateful Dead, Bassnectar, Perpetual Groove and Ekoostik Hookah. You can get sneak peak of these funky sounds at www.myspace.com/jwail

Rob Nobel has been a key figure in the Seattle drum and bass and electronic music since 2000. After releasing 2 CDs and 1 album, he has performed throughout North America, including some of the biggest music festivals in the country such as Emerg-N-See, Burning Man, One Family Gathering, Photosynthesis and others. Rob has a diversified sound and incorporates breaks, dubstep and drum 'n' bass. This is a triumphant return to the last frontier and he will be sure to bring the beats.

Midnight Sunrise will also feature a core group of significant Alaskan DJs who over the years have ignited the rapidly growing electronic scene. Artists include Dig Sista. Pranxter, Sol, Uzoma and DJ Lytw8. Midnight Sunrise, an all ages event, starts at 6 pm on Friday, June 20th. **The tickets are only $10 before 8 p.m. and $15 after 8 p.m., and can be bought at the Wendy Williamson Auditorium after 5 p.m. on the day of the event. The event will end at 1 a.m. For more info please about visit www.myspace.com/midnightsunriseak Doors open at 6 p.m. All Ages $10 before 8p.m., $15 after Wendy Williamson Auditorium UAA Campus 3211 Providence Drive
