Hey all,Mike here again.
The folks over at Harmonix (which is a Boston based company by the way) are finally giving their customers the chance to play along with Boston's best band (our band of course).
Damone's Out Here All Night is now available for the game Rock Band.
I'm sorry to say that I haven't actually played the game. Mostly because I can't bring myself to re-enact a "virtual version" of my day again.
(Although I'd probably get paid about the same to do so)
But if you are a fan of the game, download it!
Will we see any royalties from it? Doubt it.
The record companies still have some collecting to do, and the fine folks in charge of our Walmarts and other retailers of this game.... well... they need to eat too, you know.
"And I was going to buy that ivory back-scratcher"
- Montgomery Burns
If you need help with the guitar parts... you know where to find me.

Hey guys, Mike here. I said that I would do a follow up on that Jonas Bros meeting, so here it is.
It was a really great night. Damone's old tour manager, Misty, has been out with those boys on their last two tours. When she told them that she used to work with us, they were apparently pretty psyched, and asked her if she could set up a meeting in Boston. So in a way that only Misty could, she put the whole thing together for us.
SO nice to hang out with Misty again too. Good times 4 sure.
The Jonas kids appeared tired to me. They may be one of the hardest working bands I've ever met. The marketing genius behind it all completely blew my mind too, but all of that $tuff is a whole other story.
Mrs Jonas seemed really sweet, and Misty had nothing but nice things to say about working on the tour and the Jonas family in general.
A couple things did catch me off guard though. The first was when one of boys started talking about seeing us live on tour a fews back. They didn't see us with the Rejects, or at some radio festival... they saw us in this slummy NJ rock club with Bullets and Octane, and Valient Thorr (who they apparently like a lot too).
Now, Valient kicks some serious ass, but they're really not a band I expected those kids to be into. Plus they must've been super young to be hanging out in a place like that. I know I wouldnt've been allowed in there back then. (I'm still not allowed. *crying in the corner*)
Damn we had some wild fun days on that tour. - Valient Thorr.
The second thing was the show itself.
They were nice enough to give us front row seats, and seemed excited for us to catch their live show. Initially, the only thing I could focus on was the deafening sounds of 70+ thousand screaming girls, and like an old man I basically I just wanted to go home... or cash in those sweeeet tickets for (god only knows how much $) to some poor parent outside who's simply desperate to get their little Sussi-pants into the concert. BUT, obviously that would be a rude and ungrateful gesture to these seemingly super nice people.
(Besides, if those seats were empty, it would look pretty damn conspicuous)
Yeah, I know. Most 14yr old girls can only dream.
As it turns out, it was one of the best concerts I've ever been to.
The excitement of all those kids can't be faked, and it reminded me of how I felt about my favorite bands back in the day. The performances, the stage show, the outfits... I mean everything was pure entertainment. At one point they actually made it rain on stage! It was like a full on Vegas production. Unbelievable.
I'm told that this was Jordin Sparkks or something like that
I hate to say this (and it's sure to piss a few people off) but I was lucky enough to see Metallica with my buddy Len a few months back, in the same place, with seats almost as good as these were. The Jonas show blew them clear out of the water. And I love Metallica, but these days they're just not that exciting. Like my bedroom doorknob.
Totally off the subject, I don't think that I would get along too well with Lars Ulrich. And I hated that movie Some Kind Of Monster. (prolly cause it hits too close to home) And it was like getting to see Superman in his home argue with his wife. Some things you just don't wanna know about. But at one point in the film, Lars is talking about Hetfield's mellowing-out and says something like, "20 years of hatred. It sold us millions of records... and NOW look at him!" -Hahahaha. That was awesome.
Don't get me wrong. I'm all in favor growing up a little by the time you're like 50, because nothing's sadder than some rocker who's acting as rebellious as he did at 21... but, none-the-less... what happened to metal?
No but... seriously... what the hell happened?
Alright then. That's that. I'm done.
There's other things to talk about too, but I'm too lazy to get into it right now.
I'm sorry. I just can't help it. James? Really?
You went from "this" to an "Armani Collezioni" bag?
This is absolutely heartbreaking for me. I feel like killing myself right now. Like, everything in life is fraud.
I mean... it's just too much to handle
And on that note I will leave you with a Metallica lyric that suddenly makes more sense than ever, as if they were predicting the future.
"Yesterday seems as though It never existed Death greets me warm Now I will just say goodbye"

Hey, Mike here. This is pretty cool. My friend Liz just emailed this to me:
"i started getting all these weird comments on one of my vids about nick jonas liking damone.... so i googled it, and this is what i found." -Liz
As for the song "You're The One", it was one of my favorites on the record as well. If I remember right, I was trying write a song that mirrored Def Leppard's "Photograph". My original chorus lyric was actually "photograph" instead of "you're the one" too. For obvious reasons the band and I changed that in the studio.
Go here to see the full article:
To see the video that Liz was talking about, go here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_QMNjp6ib-E **It's from an in-store show we did to promote the record. Ouch, the harmonies are a little rough**
And to hear the song "You're The One" and others Click Here:
Thanks Mr Jonas! Gimme a call sometime. We'll make some tunes. =-)

The first thing people might ask is why we made a video for this particular song. The answer is simple. It’s the one song on the record that was begging for a FUN video to be made for it. The other songs on the record are dark and very personal. This is why we decided NOT to make another horror movie video for “Serial Killer” or a tour video for “When It Ends”. We also didn’t want to do the cliché band playing live cut to people having a party because a gazillion bands have done it. Damone needed something that was purely FUN! In the spirit of David Lee Roth “Talk Of The Town” was coming to life in way America has not scene in almost 20 years.
We started making the video back in June before the record was even finished being recorded. We knew “Talk OF The Town” would be the song a video would be made for. When we started we wanted it to be like the movie Smokey and The Bandit since my good friend Danny was kind enough to let me borrow his Trans AM this seemed very possible. I asked my brother Lieutenant Vazquez if we could have a police chase but this would have been way too expensive. Mike Gill our esteemed director decided we needed the Trans AM but we would not be able to do a Smokey and The Bandit type video. Gill decided the video should only include me. Gill didn’t want anyone else in the band in the video except for many different women. Believe or not I was not for this right away because I was wondering where the hell we are going to find women kind enough to help us out for free. Soon after the clouds parted and the sun broke through and just like Obama said, “Yes We Can”. We didn’t finish shooting the video until October and there were times it seemed like it would never be finished.
I want to thank all the people who made this possible.I want to thank the rest of the band for allowing me to see this through because I know they have put up with my ego problem for years. I know deep in their hearts they understand that I am amazing even if they never admit it.
I want to thank the lovely ladies for all your help and time with this project. Thank you Jenna, Linzy, Rebal, Valerie, Sarah, Karen, Lindsay, Felicia, Audrena and Brittany. You all did an amazing job of pretending to be into me.
I want to thank Mike Gill for giving us a wonderful video at a very amazing price. Any bands out there should contact him if you are looking to make a video. Mike Gill is the George Lucas of videos! You can contact him at goosegill@gmail.com
I want to thank the Onyx Hotel in Boston for allowing us to shoot inside the hotel and the free upgrade to the Penthouse. If you ever need to stay Boston those people will treat you right.
I want thank the Sheahan family for letting me use their Trans AM. Even though I didn’t have a hat or mustache I felt like Burt Reynolds for one day driving around in that car.
I want to thank the Scalzi family for letting me borrow their low-rider. I actually had the bike for a few weeks after the shoot and they were kind enough to let me borrow it for all that time. It's a badass machine. After seeing the raw footage of me riding with Linzy it looked kind of dangerous. What was I thinking?
I want thank Chris Debarge for doing a cameo in the video. The tattoo of my face on Valerie brings a smile to my face every time I see it. Chris works over at Stingray Body Art in Allston. Get a tattoo there now and don’t bother with any other place in Boston. The number is 617-254-0666. Chris is also a huge fan of Smokey And The Bandit and when I get a tattoo he is going to do it.
I want thank Fitz and James from L.A. Mob for driving the truck while shooting the motorcycle footage and Fitz for his leather hat. I’m really not a hat guy but it looks a lot cooler on camera than a helmet.
I want thank Tracey Vaughan for cutting my hair and keeping me sexxy. Tracey works at Salon Luna 878 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge - (617) 492-7792. If you want your hair to look amazing go see her right now.
I want to thank the Zachko twins for letting be borrow their leather jackets. It was a huge help.
Last but not least I want to thank anyone who enjoys it or hates it. I love making people happy but its so much fun to piss them off too!!!
I love you all..
Vazquez
