Fans of Pete Murray are in for a treat!
Pete will perform an acoustic show at the Northcote Social
Club on Monday 22 June 2009.
It has been a long time since Pete has performed an intimate acoustic
show in Australia. We are talking pre-'Feeler' days way back in 2003. As
part of Pete's preparation for his upcoming European acoustic tour he will
play a show with his Stonemason guitarist Brett Wood.
These shows are a rare opportunity to see Pete perform as a duo, so fans
can expect acoustic, 12 string acoustic, and electric guitars, harmonica, the
trusty old blues stompbox and up-close insights into his song writing. All
in a 300 capacity room.
But be quick, these tickets will go quickly.
Tickets available now from NSC Box Office
Monday - Saturday 2.00 - 6.00pm (301 High St, Northcote)
on (03) 9486 1677 and online at www.northcotesocialclub.com

Venue details:
THE NIGHTHAWK BLUES BAR (Cnr Npean Highway and Balcombe Road)
Brett and Andy are on from 9:30pm ... but the bar has a brilliant chef ... so come early for a bite to eat before the show.

We will be releasing a new 6 track EP titled ‘Chance To Say Goodbye’ on March 27, 2009.
TRACKLISTING
Chance To Say Goodbye Miss Colder Sugar Ranch Small Pieces Late Night Pick Up Right By Your Side All of the b sides (except Small Pieces) were fuelled by some very late night sessions from the recording of Summer At Eureka, where the band did alternative takes on the songs in question. The aim was to turn the songs on their heads and go for a completely different feel and sound.
Small Pieces was produced in LA by Eric Sarafin (Ben Harper) and dates from the ‘See The Sun’ sessions in 2005.

Hi Guys,
Seems like a lot of you are wondering what's up with this thing in the newpaper about me supposedly planning to leave Australia next year. I'm in Europe on a short tour right now and have had loads of emails and phone calls about this story (My Mum was certainly surprised!). It even made the news a bit in Holland and Germany so I figured I'd better set the record straight.
The truth is that I'm definitely not leaving the country permanently - it seems the guy who wrote that story misunderstood me or something but in any case I wanted to clear it up and put the correct details out there so there's no confusion about what I'll be doing.
What's happening is that I'm planning on spending the next European summer based in Germany and The Netherlands. It will probably be for about 4 -6 months. We haven't really planned the details yet but the idea is to basically do an extended tour and have a bit of a holiday plus hopefully have time to write a new song or two in some new places. Either way we'll come back home to Oz when it starts getting too cold over here.
By the middle of 2009 it will be over a year since "Summer At Eureka" was released in Oz so there won't be any touring or suchlike left to do at home by then. Meanwhile there's a lot of good stuff happening for me in Europe and I'm really enjoying all these new experiences. It therefore just seems like a good time to spend some proper time over here. Australia will still definitely be "home" though. No ifs, buts or maybes.
So that's what's really happening and anyone who says otherwise has got their wires crossed. Meanwhile, thanks to all of you who've supported me online and in chat rooms. I'm really happy that so many of you seem to be liking the new music so much and it's been great to see those songs going down so well at our gigs. Thanks.
Hope to see you back in Australia at some of my shows over the new year.
Adios. Pete in the tour van.
