Hey everybody (that means both of you!)...I am releasing a brand new six-song EP called "Motorbike EP" on Wool/Ungawa this month. The EP will be but a mere taster for my upcoming record "The Invisible Audience". The "Motorbike EP" will be issued on VERY limited 12" white vinyl with a postcard (see image below) shot by filmaker Cam Archer. The song selection was chosen by the lovely Sarabeth Tucek (see my top friends). The "Motorbike EP" will be available digitally on feb. 12th. For more info,

To whom it may concern, I have recently stumbled my way to the actual completion of my latest album, which will be entitled "The Invisible Audience". It looks to be a double album/CD/whatever and will feature 34 tracks. Why? Because I can. And did. Fuck it. Life is short. Oh, and it's really good and features lots of really talented musician-friends on it as well. For those of you that are technical-minded, it was recorded onto eight-track one-inch tape and sounds just wonderful for it. Really, I promise a real sonically-fulfilling corker of a record this time. I hope to have it released in some form or another sometime this year and will try to do what is required of me to sell it to the best of my abilities (mainly because I want lots of folks to hear it). I'm putting together a "making-of" video and that should be virally injected onto the information super-highway in the near future. Anyway, please keep an ear out for it and tell anyone that might be interested that it's a-comin'. I like to say it's 105 minutes of your life you'll never get back, yet you will enjoy thoroughly.
Luther

1694-1778, French Historian, Writer
A witty saying proves nothing. A long dispute means that both parties are wrong. Animals have these advantages over man: They have no theologians to instruct them, their funerals cost them nothing, and no one starts lawsuits over their wills. Anything that is too stupid to be spoken is sung. Common sense is not so common. Divorce is probably of nearly the same date as marriage. I believe, however, that marriage is some weeks the more ancient. Do well and you will have no need for ancestors. Doctors are men who prescribe medicines of which they know little, to cure diseases of which they know less, in human beings of whom they know nothing. God is a comedian playing to an audience too afraid to laugh. I advise you to go on living solely to enrage those who are paying your annuities. It is the only pleasure I have left. I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it. I know of nothing more laughable than a doctor who does not die of old age. In my life, I have prayed but one prayer: oh Lord, make my enemies ridiculous. And God granted it. It is dangerous to be right when the government is wrong. It is not enough to conquer; one must learn to seduce. It is an infantile superstition of the human spirit that virginity would be thought a virtue and not the barrier that separates ignorance from knowledge. Judge a man by his questions rather than by his answers. May God defend me from my friends; I can defend myself from my enemies. "Now, now my good man, this is no time for making enemies." - on his deathbed in response to a priest asking that he renounce Satan. Originality is nothing but judicious plagiarism. Superstition is to religion what astrology is to astronomy; the mad daughter of a wise mother. The art of medicine consists in amusing the patient while nature cures the diseases. The husband who decides to surprise his wife is often very much surprised himself. This poem will never reach its destination. [On Rousseau's Ode To Posterity] To succeed in the world it is not enough to be stupid, you must also be well-mannered.

I long to walk a little funny down those cobblestones again...sawdust on the floor at the maple leaf...a rolling accordion gathers no moss...suckered-in drunk by a three-card congame under the old jax brewery with the mississippi shimmering in the moonlight...rita's grandmother's pudding and blue-ribbon mustard chicken...stuffed-artichoke at frankie and johnnie's...that longhair bust at tipitina's...the ghost of tuts washington gently strokes the piano in the lounge at the ponchatrain...kind-hearted people, red-beans and rice...bryan lee and the jump-street five...me and stormy J at mardis gras...one mint julep that knocked tonsilitis outta my throat...watching robbie watch earl...sharing forties with the rebirth...accidentally stumbling into a beautiful funeral procession...and i never even lived there...---luther
